GETTING STARTED
STORAGE BRACKET
- After removing Mini Cinch from the box, pull the metal bracket down against the machine to release the handle. (Caution: The handle will pop up). Push the metal bracket down in the machine base while using it and reattach it to the handle for convenient storage.
CLEAN THE PUNCH
- Before punching the first project be sure to clean the grease off of the tool that may be left over from assembly.
- Do this by punching several scrap pieces of paper. Any leftover grease will rub off onto the paper.
PUNCHING
ALIGNMENT GUIDE
- Remove the Alignment Guide from storage. Refer to the chart printed on base and insert Alignment Guide in the coordinating slot.
- For example, paper sizes ending in whole or 1/2-inch increments would require the Alignment Guide set to A. Paper sizes ending in 1/2 would be set to B and so on.
FIRST PUNCH
- Align paper against Alignment Guide on the left edge and insert the top edge completely into the punch housing.
- Punch chipboard or multiple sheets of paper at a time. Do not exceed 2mm in height as noted in Alignment Guide. Press the handle to punch.
CONTINUOUS PUNCHING
- Insert the Alignment Guide back in storage to prevent loss.
- Shift paper left and lower Alignment Peg into the second to last hole on the right to secure your paper for perfectly aligned holes. Press the handle to punch. Using this method, you can punch unlimited lengths.
BINDING
SIDE HOOKS
- Use the convenient side hooks to hold and stabilize the binding wires while threading pages one at a time, or the whole book at once.
PLACE WIRE
- Place the wide looped end of the binding wire on the hooks. Make sure there is a loop on every other hook and that it is securely in place.
- Now thread on your pages.
HIDE THE SEAM
- To hide the wire seam inside the back cover, first thread inside the pages, then the front cover, then the back cover.
- The front and back covers should face each other. After binding, flip the back cover around.
CINCHING
PUSH HANDLE
- The Cinching Bar cinches your binding wire closed as you push down on the handle.
- Be sure to place the opening of your binding wire flat against the body of the tool and gently hold the wire in place.
BINDING LARGER SECTIONS
- If the binding is longer than cinching span, move the binding over and cinch wire in sections.
CAUTION
- Keep fingers out of the cinching area while punching paper.
- Use caution while holding the wire in place and cinching. It is recommended- ed to gently hold the wire in place.
- Make sure your fingers are not in closure.
TRIMMING
STEP 1
- Count the holes punched in your project, then count the number of threads you’ll need for your binding.
STEP 2
- Insert wire cutters between threads and cut wire on the flat side leaving a small stem on each end. Insert wire into project holes and then cinch your binding.
STEP 3
- If you didn’t trim your wire to the required length before cinching your binding, simply insert the wire cutter between threads and clip off the excess.
