Product Information

The PROMIX02 is a versatile audio mixer that allows you to connect stereo input sources and microphones for various audio applications. Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that all residents of the European Union are aware of the important environmental information regarding the product’s disposal. The device should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste but should be taken to a specialized company for recycling.
  2. Read the user manual carefully before bringing the device into service. If the device was damaged during transit, do not install or use it. Instead, contact your dealer for assistance.

  4. Connect all stereo input sources before connecting the microphones. Make sure all volume controls are set to their minimum positions (0).
  5. Use shielded low-capacitance stereo cables for the RCA connections to ensure high-quality sound reproduction.
  6. Adjust the tone of the microphones using the microphone controls. The tone can be increased by turning the control towards 10 and decreased by turning it towards 0.
  7. Use the echo control to adjust the echo effect according to your preference.
  8. Connect the stereo outputs to a power amplifier and/or tape decks.
  9. Plug the device into an AC power source or use the included 9-12VDC adapter for power.

Safety Instructions

  • The manufacturer is not liable for defects or problems caused by the user’s disregard of the manual’s stipulations.
  • Keep this device clear of heating devices.
  • Do not switch the device on immediately if it has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuations. Leave it off until it has reached room temperature.
  • Do not place beverages near or on top of the device. Disconnect the device from the mains as soon as possible if a liquid has penetrated the housing. Have the device checked by a qualified technician before using it again. Damages caused by a liquid penetrating the housing are not covered by the warranty.
  • Never let the power cord come into contact with other cables.
  • The available voltage should not exceed the voltage indicated on the AC voltage selector.
  • The power cord should never be crimped or damaged by sharp edges. Check the device and the power cord from time to time.
  • Disconnect the device from the mains when not in use or when you are cleaning it.
  • Only handle the power cord by the plug. Do NOT pull out the plug by tugging the cord itself.
  • Place all volume controls in their minimum position (“0”) before activating the device.
  • Turn the amplifier on last and off first.
  • An excessive volume can cause hearing damage.
  • There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Consult an authorised dealer for maintenance and repairs.

General Guidelines

  • Operating current is 9-12V, 50/60Hz and the device should only be used indoors.
  • Select a location where the device will not be exposed to water or moisture, excessive heat or dust. Do not leave any cables lying around.
  • Do not use the device under extreme temperatures (> 30°C, < 5°C).
  • Keep the device away from heaters.
  • Familiarise yourself with the operation of the device before bringing it into service and do not allow operation by unqualified individuals. Damage is usually caused by unprofessional operation of the device.
  • Use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
  • Do not attempt to make adjustments or execute repairs. Consult a qualified technician instead.
  • Removing the bar code will void the warranty.
  • Use only high-quality cables in order to obtain the highest sound quality.

Installation and Operation

Connect all the stereo input sources first and connect the microphones. Make sure all volume controls are placed in their minimum positions (“0”). Connect the stereo outputs to the power amplifier and/or tape decks.
Plug the device into an AC power source.

NOTE: Use shielded low-capacitance stereo cables for the RCA connections. The quality of the cables is essential for high-quality sound reproduction.

  1. 2 MICROPHONE CONTROLS

  2. MIC TONE
    Adjust the tone of the microphone. Towards “10” it will be the highest, and towards “0” the lowest..

  3. ECHO CONTROL
    Varies the echo effect applied to the microphone output. Turning the control towards “max” enhances the echo effect and turning it towards “min” attenuates it. Echo is not applied at “min” position.

  4. 2 MICROPHONE INPUTS
    Insert the microphone jack. Use 6.35mm jack

  5. AUDIO LEFT AND RIGHT OUTPUT
    Audio signal input for music sources like CD players, VCR and other audio equipment. Connect the audio output jacks of those audio systems to these audio input jacks. While making the connection make sure you respect the right channel connection.

  6. VIDEO OUTPUT

  7. AUDIO LEFT AND RIGHT INTPUT JACK
    Allows to connect amplifier or to a hi-fi system in order to improve the sound and increase the volume output. While making the connection, make sure you respect the left and right channel connection.

    You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

  • Not covered by warranty:

    • all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity…), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
    • consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts… (unlimited list);
    • flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural
    • flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;
    • damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
    • damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;
    • all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.disaster, etc.…;
  • Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

  • Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

  • Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.

  • The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
