Product Information

Before using the twin-head LED emergency light, please read and follow these safety and installation instructions:

  7. Use flexible conduit ONLY with yellow and blue wires for proper installation.
  8. Connect the battery using the red and black wires as indicated in the wiring diagram.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

  • Before installing, servicing, or performing routine maintenance upon this equipment, follow these general precautions.
  • To reduce the risk of death, personal injury, or property damage from fire, electric shock, falling parts, cuts/abrasions, and other hazards, read all warnings and instructions included with and on the fixture box and all fixture labels.
  • Power must be turned off at the breaker before installation or maintenance.
  • Installation, service, and maintenance of luminaires should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
  • Wear gloves and eye protection at all times while installing, servicing, or preforming maintenance on the luminaire, and avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
  • Do not install damaged product. Inspect luminaire for damage that may have occurred during transit. If damaged, contact the manufacturer immediately.
  • These instructions do not purport to cover all details or variations in equipment nor to provide every possible contingency to meet in connection with installation, operation, or maintenance. Should further information be desired or should particular problems arise which are not covered sufficiently for the purchaser’s or owner’s purposes, contact the manufacturer.

CAUTION

  • Equipment should be mounted where it will not be subject to tampering by unauthorized personnel.
  • Do not mount near gas or electric heaters.
  • The use of accessory equipment not recommended by the manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
  • Do not use this equipment for any other purpose than its intended use.

NOTICE

  • The small battery in this unit may not be fully charged. After electricity is connected to the unit, let the battery charge up for at least 24 hours for normal operation of this unit to take effect.
  • During an electrical power failure, the LED lamps will automatically come on for a minimum of 90 minutes. In accordance with NFPA 101,your emergency lighting system must be tested monthly for a minimum of 30 seconds and annually for 90 minutes.Refer to yourÿ local codes for any additional requirements that may apply.
  • Do not use outdoors.

Installation Instructions

Junction Box Mount
  • Feed fixture leads through the back mounting plate and connect AC power supply (Fig A).
  • Mount the back mounting plate on junction box and secure with screws.
  • Connect the battery only after continuous AC power can be provided to the unit (Fig. B).
  • Unused wires must be capped using enclosed wire nuts.
  • Align snaps and push the housing directly onto the back mounting plate (Fig. C).
  • Apply continuous AC power and press the TEST button to check proper workmanship. The lamps should illuminate when the TEST button is pressed.
Conduit

Warning: For use with flexible conduit ONLY

  • Secure the back mounting plate to the wall surface.
  • Route the wires through the hole in the conduit flange and make the conduit connection.
  • Connect the battery only after continuous AC power can be provided to the unit (Fig. B).
  • Unused wires must be capped using enclosed wire nuts.
  • Align snaps and push the housing directly onto the back mounting plate (Fig. C).
  • Apply continuous AC power and press the TEST button to ensure the wiring is correct. The lamps should illuminate when the TEST button is pressed.
  • To secure these 3 white terminals are well connected on the mains board, which are 2 lamp connectors ( with yellow and blue wires) and one battery connector (with red and black wires).
