B-TEK HRB High Resolution Base Setup
CONFIGURATION
Under System Configuration: Change active scales to 2.
Under Scale Configuration: Ensure mode is HRB and the #2 scale settings
are correct.
Serial Port Configuration: Should show serial port 1 is disabled for the
HRB base as shown in the image below.
Wiring the HRB scale base.
WARNING: The scale connection is an RS232 port only, Do not plug the base into an Ethernet port as this may damage file Ethernet hub.
Note: The scale base is powered by the indicator RS232 port.
The HRB scale base must be linked to a T405 or T419 indicator only. It utilizes one of the indicators dedicated RS-232 ports to correctly communicate with the base. If multiple HRB scale bases are implemented, each must use its own RS-232 port.
(B-TEK Part# 825-300032) RS232 Base to indicator cable (keyed RJ45 to pig tailed end) 10ft.
(B-TEK Part# 825-300033) RS232 Base to indicator cable (keyed RJ45 to pig tailed end) 25ft.
(B-TEK Part# 825-300034) RS232 Base to indicator cable (keyed RJ45 to pig tailed end) 50ft.
These cables have the correct keyed RJ45 connector. Pictured below are the
cable ends for the connection to the HRB and T series indicator.
The table indicates connections to TB3 for Serial Port 1. If using Serial
Port 2, then use pin TB3-3 for RX_Base and pin TB3-5 for TX_BASE.
