Product Usage Instructions

To use the Medium Profile Evaporator effectively, please follow these instructions:

  1. Ensure that the evaporator is installed in accordance with the installation guidelines provided in the user manual.
  2. Check the motor options available and select the appropriate option based on your requirements.
  3. If using HFC refrigerants, choose the preferred option package that best suits your needs.
  4. If using CO2 DX, select the preferred option package suitable for CO2 DX systems.
  5. Take note of the features and benefits of the evaporator, such as the removable access panels and plastic fan guards.
  6. Use the provided Schrader valve for suction pressure measurement when necessary.
  7. If required, connect the external equalizer to ensure proper functionality.
  8. Make sure to follow the dimensional drawings and physical data provided for accurate installation.
  9. Refer to the performance data and application capacity tables for air defrost, electric defrost, and hot gas defrost to determine the suitable settings for your specific needs.
  10. If replacement parts are needed, refer to the respective sections in the user manual for motor/fan blade/fan guard, cabinet components, drain pan heaters, coil defrost heaters, electrical components, and drain fitting.
  11. For nozzle selection, refer to the standard nozzle selection tables for air defrost, electric defrost, and hot gas defrost.

CONTROLS OPTIONS intelliGenTM Refrigeration Controller (iRC) units come
with factory mounted, tested and calibrated with an electronic expansion valve, pressure transducer, temperature sensors, control board and User Interface. Available standard features include Door Sensor, Product Load Input and Alarm Output. Optional field installable intelliGen Webserver Card (iWC) enables local and remote monitoring on any phone, tablet or PC. Optional field installable intelliGen Integration Card (iIC) enables connectivity to BACnet and Modbus. Beacon IITM units come factory mounted with an electronic expansion valve, pressure transducer, temperature sensors and control board.
OTHER OPTIONS Totally enclosed single phase PSC motors available

Optional Factory Mounted Components – Choose from intelliGenTM Refrigeration Controller, Beacon II Controller or traditional mechanical components.

Hinged Drain Pan improves access to service and clean the drain pan and coil
Angled Drain Fitting has been incorporated in the Medium Profile drain pan to provide additional space under the unit for shelving and product storage. This design feature helps to mitigate some of the height gain due to the new efficiency standards.
