(For ducted versions)

  • Make the hole and the prepare the air vent duct (150 mm diameter- not provided with the product).
  • Use a duct of the minimum necessary length.
  • Use a duct with as few elbows as possible (maximum elbow angle:90°)
  • Avoid drastic changes in the duct cross section.
  • Use a duct with the smoothest inside possible.
  • The duct material must be approved by law/certified.
  • Do not connect the hood to flue gas exhaust pipes (boilers, fireplaces, stoves, etc.).

  • A: ON/OFF Key.
    • 1st power level.
  • B: 2nd power level.
  • C: 3rd power level.
  • D: 4th power level.
  • E: ON/OFF Key Light.

To switch on the hood, press A key, then it is possible to choose the power level from 1 [min.] to 4 [max.]. If you were to opt for the first power, you must re-choose key A, while if you decide on the other alternatives you must choose the key corresponding to the desired power, and therefore if you want the power at 2, you will need to press key B, if key C is desired at 3, while if the maximum level is desired, select 4, and then key D. The Linea hood has an automatic timer, which allows you to automatically go down to level 3 when you are at maximum power (i.e. 4), after 7 minutes. This function is also present for the other power levels, which is activated by pressing the key of the desired power level for 3 sec., After which the automatic timer will make sure that after 15 min. the Linea hood will automatically switch off.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

The mains voltage shall correspond to the one indicated on the rating label found inside the hood. If provided with a plug , connect the hood to a socket in compliance with current regulations and positioned in an accessible area, even after installation. If it not provided with a plug (direct mains connection) or if the plug is in an inaccessible area, even after installation, use a double pole switch in accordance with standards which ensures complete disconnection from the mains under conditions relating to over- current category III, in accordance with installation instructions.

Warning

  • Before -connecting the hood circuit to the power supply and checking proper operation, always check that the mains lead is correctly fitted.
  • The hood is provided with a special power cord; if the cord is damaged, order a new one at our Technical Assistance Service.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OPERATIONS

Warning:  Before performing any cleaning or maintenance operations, disconnect the hood from the power supply by removing the plug or disconnecting the home master switch.

Cleaning

  • The hood should be cleaned regularly (at least with the same frequency as grease filter maintenance), both internally and externally. The wooden frame deserves particular attention, which must be cleaned regularly in case of stains while using the kitchen.
  • Use a cloth dampened with neutral liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive products. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!

WARNING: Failure to carry out the hood basic cleaning operations as well as the replacement of grease filters may cause a fire risk. Therefore, we recommend observing aforementioned instructions.

The manufacturer declines any liability for any damage to the motor or any fire due to improper maintenance or failure to observe the abovementioned safety instructions.

Grease filters

Grease filters capture cooking grease particles. They shall be cleaned once a month (or when the filter saturation indicator – if present in you model – indicates it) using non aggressive mild detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher, which must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. When washed in the dishwasher, the grease filter may fade slightly, yet this will not affect its filtering capacity.

Charcoal filters

(Ductless version only) They remove unpleasant odours deriving from cooking. The charcoal filter saturation occurs after a prolonged use, depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning of the grease filter. In any case it is necessary to replace the cartridge at least every four months (or when the filter saturation indicator– if present in you model – indicates it ).The charcoal filter CANNOT be washed or regenerated.

LAMP REPLACEMENT

  • The hood is equipped with a lighting system based on LED technology: 1,3 watt for 2 lights.
  • The LEDs guarantee optimal lighting, up to 10 times longer life than traditional lamps and save 90% of electricity. For replacement, contact the technical assistance service

ADVISE ON ENERGY SAVING

Suggestions for a correct use in order to reduce the environmental impact:

  • Switch ON the hood at minimum speed when you start cooking leaving it on for a few minutes even after cooking.
  • Increase the speed only in case of large amounts of smoke and vapour , using the booster function only in exceptional cases.
  • Replace the charcoal filter(s) when necessary in order to keep the odour reduction system efficient.
  • Clean the grease filter(s) when necessary in order to ensure good filtering performance over time.
  • Use ducts with the maximum diameter specified in this manual, in order to optimize efficiency and reduce noise levels.
