CarPlay wireless connection

Can anyone please tell me how to really reset this? I did it from the back but it just restarts and everything is still the same.
There's a reset to factory option in the settings, which is what I used when I returned the product for not having a functional camera port.
Does the sound come from your car speaker or just the CarPlay system?
You ca plug it into your car's aux or you can use the FM transmitter to have it play through your car speakers.
To turn it off do I have to unplug it every time? Or is there a setting?
I got it today and it doesn’t turn off when you turn off the engine. It stays on. It will be a pain to keep unplugging it each time and hard to remember.
How can I skip songs with my steering wheel buttons while connect with Bluetooth to the device ?
I recently purchased this to see and found the same thing. Short answer, you can not which is why I'll be returning the device. There are others that offer a remote that you strap onto your steering wheel, but they cost about $175 here. Because the device connects from bluetooth to your phone, NOT your car, you lose all the steering wheel controls.
What is the little black circle thing that came with this for?
You can mount it to the dash for the suction cup to stick better.
Can music on my iphone play on my car speakers while using carplay?
Yes, if your car has Bluetooth, you can connect it to your car and the CarPlay at the same time. That’s what I did with mine. If your car doesn’t have Bluetooth, you could also use an FM transmitter built in to the CarPlay.
How long do it take to come in?
Came in the day before I was off so the timing was perfect. Easy setup!
Does this work on a 2006 four runner?
it works on anything, as long as you have a working cigarette outlet.
Is this compatible with the Uber driver app?
Never tried that app. But I don’t see why not if it was compatible with all of my other apps.
Can you change the start up screen?
Not sure. But you should YouTube it. It might be up here.
If I connect using Bluetooth, will it still play over my speakers in my car?
Yes, but you have to switch it to your car speakers.
Can the screen cover that sticks out on the top and sides come off?
Yes, it comes detached. You can put it on if you want or leave it off.
What size is the cam in for a backup camera?
It's a 2.5mm jack size but no one seems to have found a camera that will work with this unit.
How do I get the gps voice thur the speakers of my car?
I plug mine into the AUX port on my dash. The cord is included.
Can i mirror youtube or netflix with my iphone?
Sounds like an iPhone problem I mirror everything I have tried but I haven’t tried Netflix cause I’m driving.
Can I use a blue tooth aux adapter while also using car play?
I would assume, I just went with a usb to 3.5mm aux Cord.
Is it compatible with a 2004 Honda accord?
The screen is powered by a 12V power/cigarette lighter outlet. If the vehicle has that power source it is compatible.
Can you update software and add apps? If so how can I do this?
I asked the seller about updating the firmware as I thought maybe that would fix the no-signal message when hooking up a reverse camera but had no option, I'd not rely on any updates for this device.
How do you rate the performance?
Great product the only issue is it should have an on-off switch you have to disconnect from power.
