ASSEMBLING THE PETROL BRUSHCUTTER
STEP 1 Attach the clutch cover plate to the front of the engine by
tightening the four mounting bolts. STEP 2 Mount and position the handles on the main
boom so that the part without handle is on your right. Fasten the handle, but
do not tighten the bolts to allow for further adjustment. STEP 3 Mount the control
handle so that the throttle lever faces towards the cutting head. Securely
tighten the mounting screw. Secure the control wires to the handle using the
clamps. Take the shoulder strap and attach the carabiner to the attachment
point on the main boom of the petrol brushcutter.
WARNING! Always wear protective gloves when assembling the brushcutter to
prevent hand injuries. STEP 4 Mount the safety guard onto the lower boom
part. Additionally attach the metal mounting plate to the gearbox. STEP 5
Slide the protective flange onto the splined gearbox shaft so that cutoffs in
the gearbox body and in the flange match each other. STEP 6 Insert the Allen
key into opening between the protective flange and the gearbox. While holding
the Allen key, turn the cutting head counterclockwise until it stops.
WARNING! Do not operate the tool with the cutting head without the
protective flange. If you fail to install the protective flange before
installing the cutting head, you will not be able to remove the cutting head
after you finish using the brushcutter.
WHEN USING A CUTTER BLADE
STEP 4 Mount the safety guard onto the lower boom part. Slide the
protective flange onto the splined gearbox shaft so that cutoffs in the
gearbox body and in the flange match each other. Additionally attach the metal
mounting plate to the gearbox. STEP 5 Place the cutter blade on the
protective flange. Put hold-down washer on top of the cutter blade, then
tighten the nut until it stops. Insert the Allen key into opening between the
protective flange and the gearbox. Tighten the nut with a wrench. STEP 6
Insert a safety pin into the hole in the gearbosx haft. If one side of the
cutter blade has become dull, turn over the cutter blade and continue working.
WARNING! It is forbidden to sharpen the cutter blade! Dull cutter blade
shall be replaced with a new one! STEP 7 Put on the shoulder strap and
place the brushcutter in working position. Adjust the shoulder strap and
brushcutter handles for your personal convenience. Completely tighten mounting
bolts of the handle.
PREPARATION OF THE FUEL MIXTURE
We recommend using SEQUOIA 2T-Original engine oil to prepare the fuel mixture
for two-stroke gasoline engines.
It is recommended to use high-quality unleaded petrol of high filtration
degree with octane number of not less than 92.
Store the fuel-oil mixture in dedicated cans. Petrol to SEQUOIA 2T-Original
oil ratio in the fuel mixture for two-stroke engines: 50:1. It is forbidden to
prepare the fuel mixture in the fuel tank of the brushcutter.
Refuel the tool only with the engine tuned off and well away from any fire.
Prepare the mixture for one refuelling of tools, do not leave the mixture in
the fuel tank.
WARNING! Never smoke when preparing the fuel mixture.
TURNING ON THE PETROL BRUSHCUTTER
STEP 1 Fill the fuel mixture into the tank of the tool. Set the air choke
lever to the upper position. Turn the ignition switch on the control handle to
“I” position. STEP 2 Push the primer pump lever 5-7 times to
fill the bcarburettor with fuel mixture. Place the brushcutter on a stable
surface at a safe distance from objects and people. Make sure that the cutting
head or the cutter blade can not hit the ground. STEP 3 Press the throttle
lever on the control handle and lock it pressed. Hold the brushcutter with one
hand, and pull the starter handle with your free hand until it engages.
Smoothly pull the starter handle repeatedly to a length of 30-50 cm until the
engine starts. Release the starter handle.
WARNING! The brushcutter is equipped with EASY START system that ensures
simple and smooth engine start without sudden impacts and kickbacks. Abrupt
pulling motions and pulling the starter cord against the stop can damage the
starter mechanism. STEP 4 Set the air choke lever to the centre position.
Strongly pull the starter handle repeatedly until the engine starts. Let the
engine run for 5-10 seconds to warm up. Set the air choke lever to the lower
position, then press the throttle lever to unlock it. STEP 5 Gently push
the throttle lever, increase engine speed to maximum rpms and perform the job.
Perform the cutting operation firmly holding the brushcutter by gripping
ergonomically designed handles with both hands. STEP 6 If the engine
is warm, turn on the brushcutter and follow the same procedures as during the
cold start, but omitting pushing the primer. The air choke shall be in the
lower position.
TURNING OFF THE PETROL BRUSHCUTTER
STEP 1 Release the throttle lever, and the engine speed will
decrease.
STEP 2 Stop the engine by setting the switch to “0” position.
WARNING! Unused fuel may still remain in the fuel tank after operation of
the tool. If this is the case, completely drain fuel into a can.
Do not leave the fuel mixture in the brushcutter fuel tank for more than 12
hours. This can cause unstable engine running. Always use SEQUOIA 2T-Original
oil for two- stroke engines. It is forbidden to use four- stroke engine oils
for preparation of the fuel mix.
Commissioning data and recommendations on the use of the petrol
brushcutter
