UZ CXx172 Electronic Door Handle

Product Information

The Clex Electronic Door Handle is an innovative and modern door handle that provides ease of access and security to your home or office. It is designed to be used with Scandinavian doors and comes with an adapter plate that allows for easy installation. The square pin assembly ensures that the handle is securely attached to the lock, providing maximum security.

Usage Instructions

1. General Assembly Instructions:
   • Ensure that the mounting screws are not too long as it may damage the cover of the electronic door handle.
   • Tighten the mounting screws with a torque of 2 Nm.
   • If a cylinder holder is present in the door, seal it properly using a dummy cylinder.
   • Carry out the assembly with the door open and ensure that the latches or seals fitted to the door do not hinder the proper operation of the product.
   • Ensure that the door handle does not protrude and prevent the door from swinging freely.
   • The hole in the door for inserting the handle pin should have a diameter of at least 25 mm.
   • Before assembling the door handle, always check whether all components can move freely.
   • After assembly, check the function with the door open.
   • The pre-tension in the mortise lock or the deviation of the horizontal basic should be checked before use.
2. Assembling the Square Pin:
   • The square pin must be assembled before installation on the electronic door handle (outside).
   • Insert the adapter sleeve into the square holder (if required).
   • Insert the square onto the retaining pin and into the square holder.
   • Insert the spiral clamping pin into the square.
3. Adapter Adjustment:
   • Remove the two screws that hold the adapter in place.
   • Rotate adapter to adjust to the required position.
   • Put adapter back and fix screws.
4. Installation:
   • Insert the square pin of the electronic door handle into the square nut of the lock.
   • Insert the mechanical door handle from the other side keeping it in a horizontal position.
   • Use mounting screws from the mechanical side to attach handle to door.
   • Check horizontal position and functionality.
   • If necessary, remove handles again and adjust to a different position.

This document does only cover the assembly in combination with the adapter plate for Scandinavian doors. It does not replace the regular operating and assembly manual. Please consult the regular operating manual for all other product related questions.

General assembly instructions

CAUTION

• The cover of the electronic door handle can be damaged if the mounting screws are too long!
• Tighten the mounting screws with a torque of 2 Nm.
• If a cylinder holder is present in the door, then it should be sealed properly, for e.g. using a dummy cylinder.
• Carry out the assembly with the door open.
• Ensure that the latches or seals fitted to the door do not hinder the proper operation of the product.
• Ensure that the door handle does not protrude and prevent the door from swinging freely.
• The hole in the door for inserting the handle pin should have a diameter of at least 25 mm.
• Before assembling the door handle, always check whether all the components can move freely.
• After assembly, check the function with the door open.
• The pre-tension in the mortise lock or the deviation of the horizontal basic position must not exceed 3°. If the deviation is greater, the electronic lever handle cannot engage and disengage

Assembling the square pin
The square pin has to be assembled before installation on the electronic  door handle (outside). This applies to all the versions and is shown hereusing an example of the circular rosette version

1. Electronic door handle (Scandinavian version different. Picture shows regular product)
2. Spiral clamping pin
3. Square
4. Adapter sleeve for square (only for 7 mm square)
   • Insert the adapter sleeve into the square holder (if required)
   • Insert the square onto the retaining pin and into the square holder
   • Insert the spiral clamping pin into the square

Adapter adjustment

• Remove the two screws that hold the adapter in place
• Remove adapter
• Rotate adapter to adjust to required position Available positions
• Put adapter back and fix screws
• Insert the square pin of the electronic door handle into the square nut of the lock.
• Insert the mechanical door handle from the other side keeping it in a horizontal position
•  Use mounting screws from the mechanical side to attach handle to door
• Check horizontal position and functionality
• If necessary remove handles again and adjust to different position
