Product Information

This product is a cot that can be converted into a cot bed suitable for children from about 15 months up to 20 kg weight. The minimum recommended mattress size for this cot/ cot bed is 120 cm x 60 cm and with a thickness not exceeding 12 cm. The product comes with assembly instructions and important safety warnings, which should be read carefully before use. The product should be cleaned and maintained regularly.

Warnings

  • Avoid strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc. in the near vicinity of the cot.
  • Do not attach any item to the cot, for example hooks or handles. These can present a strangulation hazard, which may result in harm to your baby.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Assemble the cot according to the provided assembly instructions.
  2. Ensure that the cot is placed in an appropriate location, away from any sources of strong heat.
  3. Use a mattress that meets the minimum recommended size of 120 cm x 60 cm and with a thickness not exceeding 12 cm.
  4. Do not attach any item to the cot, for example hooks or handles, as they can present a strangulation hazard.
  5. Check all fastenings regularly and tighten as necessary.
  6. When converting the cot to a cot bed, follow the provided instructions carefully.
  7. Clean and maintain the product regularly by wiping it with a damp cloth and mild cleaner, then drying it with a soft, clean cloth.
  8. Keep the assembly instructions and safety warnings for future reference.

WARNING

  • Do not use the cot if any part is broken, torn or missing. Contact your local IKEA store for replacement parts. Do not substitute parts.
  • Do not leave anything in the cot or place the cot close to another product, which could provide a foothold or present a danger of suffocation or strangulation, e.g. strings, blind/curtain cords, etc.
  • Do not use more than one mattress in the cot.
  • Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc. in the near vicinity of the cot.

Important safety information

  • Tighten all assembly fittings properly before use. Check all fittings regularly and retighten as necessary.
  • The lowest position of the bed base is the safest. To prevent falls the mattress base should be adjusted to the lowest position as soon as the baby is old enough to sit up.
  • Thickness of the mattress shall be such that the height from the upper surface of the mattress to the upper edge of the cot frame is at least 500 mm in the lowest position of the cot base and at least 200 mm in the highest position of the cot base.
  • To prevent injury from falls when the child is able to climb out of the cot, the cot shall no longer be used for that child.
  • Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers because they can cause suffocation.

Cot bed

  • When the child is able to climb out of the cot, convert cot to cot bed following the assembly instructions provided.
  • Tighten all assembly fittings properly before use. Check all fittings regularly and retighten as necessary.
  • Do not use the cot bed if any part is broken, torn or missing. Contact your local IKEA store for replacement parts. Do not substitute parts.
  • Do not place the cot bed near a window where cords from blinds or drapes may strangle a child.

Care and maintenance

Wipe clean with a cloth damped in a mild cleaner. Wipe dry with a soft, clean cloth.
