Product Information
The KXT 709 is a telephone device that features a numeric keypad, an LCD display, and functional buttons. It has an [EXT] jack output for possible additional cone axion for the phone, a [LINE] jack input for telephone line, and a [LOCK] key for outgoing calls blocking. Additionally, it has a hands- free microphone, a cable slot in the phone base, and a phone cable slot. The device has 16 ringtones, 8 volume levels, and the ability to disable the ringtone. It also features Caller ID/CLIP function and can store information of up to 99 incoming numbers.
Product Usage Instructions
Answering Calls
To answer an incoming call, pick up the handset or press thespeaker button.
Making Calls
The call can be made by picking up the handset and dialing the phone number, pressing the button and then selecting the phonenumber, or selecting the number (if necessary, delete the incorrect digits using the [Del] key), and then pressing the receiver (pre-dial – Pre-Dial). After about 8 seconds, the approximate duration of the call will be displayed. After dialing, put the receiver in the device or press the button. The format number is stored in the call book.
Setting PULSE/TONE Dialing Mode
The device is factory set by default to tone, which works in the vast majority of telephone exchanges. To change the Pulse or Tone dial mode: Press and hold, on the LCD screen will display P – for pulse dialing, T – for tone call. Press [SET] to confirm the setting.
Selecting and Setting Ringtone Volume
The device has 16 ringtones, 8 volume levels, and the ability to disable the ringtone. To change the ringtone song, press [RING].The screen will display rin9 0X dB (where x = ringtone, Y = volume). Press the [Ring] button again for the desired ringtone. To adjust the ringer volume, use the KEYS [UP/DOWN]. To stop the doorbell, press [RING], until the screen will appear rin9 off. Confirm the selected setting by pressing [SET].
Setting Date and Time

Setting Area Code

Setting Contrast to Display

Caller ID Function (Caller ID/CLIP)
This function is a special type of telephone service offered by the local telephone company. If this service is available to you (check with your telephone provider), when you receive a call, it will display the phone number from which you are called. If you do not answer the phone, the number and date of the call are stored. You can check who and when called you later. If the call from a phone number has been repeated, with the number appears and the inscription REP, while all-new calls that have occurred since the last check will look NEW at the top of the display and the NEW blinks.
Incoming Call Register Control
To view a list of incoming calls, press [Up] or [Down]. It will display the number and information on the call. To remove the caller number from the current list, press [Del]. If you want to delete the entire list, press [Del] button for 3 seconds.

Phone installation
- Open the lid of the battery compartment located on the bottom of the machine.
- Insert three LR6 AA -1.5 V batteries (not included) respecting their polarity. indicated by the arrow. The batteries are necessary to maintain the memory and on the correct functioning of the screen.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
- Install the device in the desired place.
- Insert the wires and sockets (RJ11 connectors) into their recesses.
- After installation, turn on the machine.
Receiving a sound telecall
While the phone rings, pick up the handset or press the speaker button to answer the call.
Making phone calls.
The call can be done as follows:
- Pick up the handset and dial the phone number
- I press the button and then select the phone number.
- Select the number (if necessary, delete the incorrect digits using the [Del] key), and then press or pick up the receiver (pre-dial – Pre-Dial).
- After about 8 seconds the approximate duration of the call will be blessed.
- After dialing, put the receiver in the device or press the button . The format number is stored in the call book.

You can change the ringtone song by pressing [RING]. The screen will display

for the desired ringtone. To adjust the ringer volume, use the KEYS
[UP/DOWN. To stop the doorbell, press [RING], until the screen will appear
“rin9 off”. Confirm the selected setting by pressing [SET].
Set the date and time
With the phone in the fork, press [SET], the LCD screen will display the DATA
SET1, press the [SET] button. On the screen will blink the position of the
current year:
- Set the year – press the keys [up] or [down] to set the current year, press [SET] to confirm and enter the following setting.
- Set the month – by pressing [up] or [down / -] to set the current month: press [SET] to confirm and enter the following setting
- Set the day – by pressing [up] or [down] to set the current day of the month: press [SET] to confirm and enter the following setting
- Set the time – by pressing [up] or [down], set the first digit for the current time, confirm with [SET], in analog mode continue to set the position of the second digit and confirm by pressing [SET]
- Set minutes – by pressing [up] or [down] set the minutes and confirm by pressing [SET]
- Complete the settings by pressing the [Del] key.
Tip: If your phone receives a date and time identification signal through
the call number (via FSK signal), the date and time will be automatically
stored in accordance with the data transmitted from the telephone exchange
(except for the year).
You can disable the automatic setting of the clock: with the phone in the
fork, press and hold for about 3 s the
[ALARM] button, the screen displays the AUTOMATIC DATE or press [ALARM] once
again to exit the automatic mode. Confirm the selected setting by pressing the
[SET] button.
Set area code
(In some countries must function correctly identifying numbers). In Poland,
for example this function is not useful. However, in some countries, local
code scheduling is useful to distinguish incoming local phone calls from
remote calls. Thus, for a local phone the local area code is not displayed,
while on an intercity call the number with Intercity is displayed. To schedule
the local number, follow these steps:
- with your phone raised, press [SET], then press [Up] key, the screen will display THE SET2 CODE
- Press [SET], the LCD screen will display “CODE —–” and the first position of the city code palpation (“-“)
- Press [Up] or [Down] to set the first digit (0-9), then press [SET] to confirm and move on to the next position.
- Press [Up] or [Down] to set the second digit (0-9), then press [SET] to confirm and move on to the next position.
- Follow the same steps to set the following code. If you want to leave the settings, press [Del].
Set contrast to your display
The device has 16 levels of LCD contrast adjustment. To set the contrast, with
the phone in cradle, press [SET], then press the [up] key twice, the LCD
display sets3
- Press [SET] to display the current level set for example, “8” LCD
- Press [Up] or [Down], set the display at contrast level
- Press [SET] to save the setting
Attention. For the proper functioning of the screen, install three AA batteries (LR6) in the device. Do not use different types of batteries. The device should be installed so that the viewing angle of the screen is optimal (60 degrees).
SET FLASH TIME
The Flash function provides access to additional features offered by the local
telephone operator. Flash time setting depends on the standards of the local
telephone network or internal control. Check with operator that is your time
for FLASH. You can transfer the call to another phone as follows:

press [FLASH]

call the number you want to transfer the call to.

wait for the call and then close the receiver
You can set the Flash time: 100/300/600 or 1000 ms, the default setting is 100 ms. -
To set the parameters of the Flash function, press [SET]

Press the [up] key three times, the screen will flash SET4

Press [Up] or [Down] keys, set the time of Flash (100, 300, 600 or 1000 ms).

Press [SET] to save the setting
Caller ID function (Caller ID / CLIP)
This function is a special type of telephone service offered by the local

“- P -” is a private conversation (limited number),
“- O -” is a call of the telephone service.
“- E -“, the number that sent the call is incorrect
The device can store information of up to 99int rare numbers.
Incoming call register control
To view a list of incoming calls, press [Up] or [Down].
It will display the number and information on the call. To remove the caller
number from the current list, press [Del]. If you want to delete the entire
list, press [Del] button for 3 seconds.
Redial
From the call list, select the desired number using the keys [Up] or [Down]
and press [SPEAKER] or pick up the handset and the phone will automatically
select the number.
Additional phone features
Direct Memory Call
Schedule buttons
Select the number you want to save or select it from incoming calls or
outgoing calls.
When the number is being read will be displayed on the screen, click [Store]
and then press the quick dial [M1] button. The number is stored.
Select a preset phone number to select a preset
number:
- Press the speed dial button [M1] or lift the machine from the fork and press the quick dial button, [M1].
The scheduled number is called automatically.
Tip: To delete a default number, it must be rescheduled.
Setting the alarm / ALARM
The device has the ability to store five alarms, which are activated at the indicated time. To set an alarm:
- With your phone in the fork, press [ALARM]
- press [ALARM] again to select the alarm number (1 to 5) you want to set
- Use the [Up] or [Down] buttons to set the alarm. When the alarm is activated, the screen will show the symbol (ALM), then confirm by pressing the [SET] button • If you want to abandon the settings, press [Del].
Note: When using alarm 1, 2, 3, the alarm will start every day at the
specified time.
Alarm 4, 5 is set only at one time (without daily repetition).
Operation on the speaker
The phone can also work by switching the call directly to the speaker. In this
case, the talk is heard all over the room (no longer heard in the device).
Press the button to switch on the speaker.
For a good signal clarity, the maximum distance from the microphone of the
device must be 50 cm. You can adjust the call volume bypassing on the keys
[Up] or [Down].
CALCULATOR function
This device has a simple computer (with display of up to 8 digits). By
pressing [CAL], enter computer mode; press [SET] to exit this mode.
Computer functions:
- Addition (+) – [UP / +]
- Subtraction (-) – [JOS / -]
- Inmultire (x) – [OUT / X]

Display battery status
If the batteries are discharged, the symbol will appear on the screen.
Immediately replace the discharged batteries with new ones, respecting their
polarity.
Cleaning your phone
The phone can be cleaned with a slightly moistened cloth or wipe with an antistatic cloth. Do not use strong detergents or solvents.
SAFETY MEASURES
- Do not use your phone if the cable or appliance is damaged.
- A phone connected to the telephone line during a storm may be damaged. During a storm, remove the plug fromthe telephone line.
- Do not open or insert objects into the appliance through the vents.
- Do not toiling liquids inside the device. Protect the device from moisture and extreme temperatures.
- Do not touch the contacts of the sound tele jack with sharp or metal objects. Do not make changes or repairs to the equipment.
- Repairs to the power cord or appliance must be done by a specialized service.
DEBUGGING
There is no sound.

Check if as the phone flash is inserted into the appropriate slot.
No calls can be made. -
Make sure that the phone is set correctly to The Pulse/Tone. Check that the “Call Baby” Interference function is not enabled.

Check the cables not to be worn or broken, and the plug inserted correctly into the machine.
The display is dark and unreadable. -
Check the contrast of the screen, replace the batteries.
When someone calls us, we can’t hear tones. -
Check that the doorbell is not unseated.
Most functions do not work. -
Check the batteries if they are not discharged, replace them, if necessary, wait 10 minutes to reset the phone settings.
Electrical products should not be recycled together with household garbage. Please transport them to a recycling center. Ask the local authorities about the procedure for decommissioning the electrical and electronic waste.
