Setting the chain saw tension
Before adjusting chain, make sure guide bar nuts are only finger tight. Also
make sure adjusting block is in oval adjusting hole on guide bar. turn
adjusting screw (Fig. 6) clockwise until all slack is out of chain. Note:
there should be no gap between side likes of chain ad bottom of guide bar.
wearing protective gloves, move chain around guide bar, chain should move
freely. If chain does no move freely. Loosen chain by turning adjusting screw
counterclockwise. After chain tension is correct , tighten guide bar nuts
firmly. If not, guide bar will move and loosen chain tension. This will
increase the risk of kickback, this can also damage saw, Note: a new chain
will stretch, check new chain after first few minutes of operation. Allow
chain to cool down.
Readjust chain tension. WARNING! Do not over tension the chain as this will
lead to excessive wear and will reduce the life of bar and chain. Over
tensioning also reduce the amount of cuts you should get.
Oil filling
Note: the chain saw is shipped without oil in it, the chain saw must never be used without oil or with an oil level that is below the indicator. Warning , always ensure that the chainsaw is switched off and the plug is removed from the power point before making any adjustments.
-
Remove oil cap. (Fig. 7)
-
Fill oil tank with chain Lubricating oil.
-
check the oil level periodically, through the oil level indicator(fig.8)
-
wipe off excess oil.
Note: it is normal for oil to seep when saw is not in use. Empty oil tank after each use to prevent seepage.

Before winter storage, the battery should be fully charged and kept warm at
10-20 degrees C. Charge it every 3 months. Make sure to keep ventilation holes
clean and free from dirt.
Store the charger indoor between 5-25 degrees C.
Chain lubrication
The chainsaw is equipped with an automatic lubrication system, which ensures the chain is always lubricated optimally. However, the system depends on chain oil in oil tank and regular cleaning.
The chainsaw is not supplied filled with oil. It is essential to fill with oil before use. Never operate the chainsaw without chain oil or at an empty oil tank level, as this will result in extensive damage to the product.
Chain life and cutting capacity depend on optimum lubrication. Therefore, the chain is automatically oiled during operation via oil outlet.
Check the automatic operation of the chain lubrication by pointing the tip of the switched –on saw towards a piece of paper laying on the ground, if a patch of oil appears and becomes larger, then the automatic oil function is working. If there are no traces of oil even though the oil tank is full. Then the automatic oil function is not working. If the automatic oil function is not working. Remove the chain bar and clean out the oil ways of the chainsaw and chain bar, on reassemble if the chainsaw is still not working take it to a autorised if the chainsaw is still not working take it to an autorised service centre
Use correct chain oil to avoid damage to the chainsaw.
Never use recycled/old oil.
Use of non-approved oil will invalidate the warranty.
Check oil level prior to starting and regularly during operation Fig. 8. Refill oil when oil level is low.
Use
Before use, make sure that the battery is fitted properly with the battery
lock in place. (9+10).
Remove the bar cover and hold the electric saw by its grip with hands. To
start the chainsaw, press the lock off button (11) on the trigger switch.
To stop the chain saw release the trigger switch. Warning: hold the electric
chain saw with hands until the chain is completely still.
Adjust speed.
When the chain saw is normally started, the indicator light (15) is green, and the chain saw is running at low speed. Press the speed control button (11) again, the indicator light turns red, and the chain saw is running at high speed. Remarks: The working state of the chainsaw can be switched freely by pressing the speed control button. The indicator light shows green for low speed, and the indicator light shows red for high speed .
Kickback safety devices
This saw has a low-kickback chain and reduced kickback guide bar.
Both items reduce the chance of kickback. Kickback can still occur with this
saw.
The following steps will reduce the risk of kickback.
- Keep solid footing and balance at all times.
- Do not let guide bar nose touch anything when chain is moving.
- Never try cutting through two logs at same time. Only cut one log at a time.
- Do not bury guide bar nose or try plunge cut (boring into wood using guide bar nose).
- Watch for shifting of wood or other forces that may pinch chain.
- Use extreme caution when re-entering a previous cut.
- Use low-kickback chain and guide bar supplied with this chainsaw.
- Never use dull or loose chain. Keep chain sharp with proper tension.
Clothing
When using the machine, wear tight-fitting work clothes, strong working gloves, hearing protectors, eye protection, safety boots with non-skid soles and protective trousers.
Tips and advices
Use the chainsaw only with secure footing.
The chain must be running at full speed before it makes contact with the wood.
Do not attempt to saw areas which are difficult to reach, or on a ladder.
Maintenance
Before any service and maintenance is done, the power must be disconnected, it means the battery removed from the tool.
- Remove the battery before you clean and store the machine.
- For obtaining the best cutting results the chain and guide bar must be cleaned and oiled regularly. Remove dirt with a brush and oil lightly.
- Use biodegradable oil.
- Clean the housing and other parts with a mild cleanser and a moist cloth. Never use aggressive cleansers or solvents.
- Prevent water from getting into the machine.
- Use the guide bar cover when the machine is stored.
Lubrication hole. Remove the guide bar and check that the lubrication hole is not blocked with sawdust or dirt. Lubricate with oil/grease.’
Guide Bar. Clean the nose wheel and chain groove of any dirt. If required, turn the guide bar over to evenly share wear. A worn guide bar can be hazardous to use and should therefore be replaced.
Chain. The chain should be filed regularly to ensure the best result.
- Ensure that the guide bar is securely attached.
- Use a round file (not supplied).
- File all of the teeth with 3-4 strokes, so that they are uniform, as shown in the illustration.
- The height of the teeth must be checked regularly, and if they are too high, they must be filed down using a flat file (not supplied).
Replacing saw chain / guide bar
Replace chain when cutters are too worn to sharpen or when chain breaks. Only
use replacement chain type29 links, 0.3 pitch (Art. no. 450779).
Inspect guide bar before sharpening or replacing chain.
A worn or damaged guide bar is unsafe and should be replaced. A worn or
damaged guide bar will damage the chain. It will also make cutting harder.
