Hisense WTAG8511T Washing Machine
Product Information
The product is a washing machine that has various wash programs and options. It has a power button, start/pause button, and program selection buttons. The washing machine comes with a lid, filter, bleach dispenser, tub impeller, water inlet valve, power cord, drain hose, handle, and adjustable foot. The washing machine also has a safety feature where the power supply will be disconnected automatically if the machine is not started or if no key is operated within 10 minutes.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure to read the safety precautions before using the washing machine.
- Connect the drain hose to the washing machine and ensure that it is securely attached to the drain.
- Install the water inlet hose by connecting it to the water supply and the washing machine.
- Put in the laundry into the washing machine.
- Select the wash program based on the fabric, soil level, and load size using the program selection buttons.
- Press the power button to turn on the washing machine. Press it again to turn off the washing machine.
- Press the start/pause button to start the washing machine. Pressing it again will pause the washing machine at any stage of the wash process.
- After the wash cycle is completed, a signal will sound, and the washing machine will turn off automatically.
- Dispose of any waste after washing.
Note: The washing machine has a Hijab/Delicate program that can be used for washing delicate fabrics.
Before operating this unit, please read this manual thoroughly, and retain for future reference.

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- The new hose-sets supplied with the appliance are to be used and the old hose sets should not be reused.
- For appliances with ventilation openings in the base, that a carpet must not obstruct the openings.
- Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
- The maximum permissible inlet water pressure, 0.8 MPa, for appliances intended to be connected to the water mains. The minimum permissible inlet water pressure,0.03 MPa, if this is necessary for the correct operation of the appliance.
- The maximum washing capacity is 8kg.

- Washing machine should be plugged into a matching outlet. Be sure to use three-phase power receptacle. Ensure that the earthing prong of the power receptacle is earthed reliably. Use leakage protector if possible.
- In normal usage of the washing machine, the power plug shall be ready to be pulled or plugged with hand. Be sure to pull the plug off and close the water faucet in following cases: power failure, delivering the washing machine, setting the washing machine idle or cleaning the washing machine. Do not plug or pull the power plug with wet hand. Do not use an extension cord.
- Do not bend, stretch, twist, bind the power cord by force, or reform it. Do not press or clamp it with heavy items. If the power cord and power plug are damaged, or the receptacle is loose, be sure to have it replaced by the technicians of our special shop or our agent, or Hisense service department for the sake of avoiding any risk. Keep the prong of the power plug clean. If dust is found on the power plug, please wipe it off with dry cloth.
- Do not let the washing machine share one receptacle with other electric appliances. If the power plug is damaged, or the plugging into the receptacles is loose, do not use it any more.
- Do not set the washing machine at damp place like the bathroom. Never wash it with water. Do not put laundries on the control panel coating.
- In case the washing machine is installed on ground with carpet, be careful not to block the ventilation hole with carpet.
- Do not put hand into the rotating tub. It is dangerous even if the rotation speed is slow. Take special care of the children. Keep children away from the washing machine to avoid them climbing on it.
- Do not put any hot or heavy items(such as the kettle with hot water)on the washing machine.
- The handicapped or children shall not use the washing machine without care.
- Do not use water with temperature higher than 55°C inside the tub.
- Do not wash water-proof laundries like the raincoat, bike covers, down textiles etc. to avoid abnormal vibrations in spinning and damaging the laundries.
- Do not decompose, repair or alter the machine by yourself.
- Do not wash laundries with volatile materials (such as thinner, petrol etc.).
- Keep the washing machine away from direct sunlight and heat source like the heater.

Installation and adjustment
Please install and adjust the machine according to the requirement of the manual, which is very important for you to operate the machine safely and properly.
- Remove the packaging, take out the Insulation panel, the EPS Base.the insert.etc.
- Open the lid of the washing machine, take out the Accessories in the tub of the washing machine.
Note: The insert in the EPS Base is not a part of the washing machine, it’s usage is fixing the washing machine in the transportation. Test the washing machine or washing on the EPS Base is strictly prohibited.
Install the Insulation panel
- Lean the washing machine forward gently on a soft cloth.
- Put the insulation panel into the socket at the Base. Fasten it with a screw.
Adjust the installation position
The largest allowable slope of the shank base of the machine is 2. The slanting or rough ground will result in unstable running or stoppage of the machine. Please adjust it with following methods:
- Confirm it’s horizontal
- Use a thread tied with a plumb to check if it is horizontal.
- Adjust the adjustable foot
- To twist the adjustable foot, please first lift up the side of the foot slightly. Twist the adjustable foot clockwise until the washing machine is stable.
- Fasten the not counter clockwise after adjustment.
Usage of the drain hose
Usage of the drain hose
Drain hose shall operate smoothly
- Drain port shall not 10cm high above the ground, or drainage would not work, drainage time would be too long or washing machine would stop at midway.
- Do not tread on or squeeze drain hose.
- Cut drain hose from center when drain hose is too long. For smooth drainage, cut front end of drain hose at an angle.
- Purchase another section of matched drain hose (S1 .Sm) when extension is necessary.
- Cut drain hose from proper position if extended hose is too long.
How to change direction of drain hose
- Learn the washing machine forward gently on a soft cloth.
- Pull out the drain hose in the direction of the groove under the washing machine. And then put he drain hose back into the groove in the other direction.
- Also can put the drain hose on the rear of the wasing machine.
- Gently lift up washing machine and keep it stable.
- For washing machines whose drain hose direction can not be changed as noted above, contact Hisense service department for help.
Install the water inlet hose
Confirm the suitable faucet
Water Requirements
- An adequate water supply must be provided with water pressure between 0.02 MPa to 0.8 MPa.
- For proper operations the water temperatures must be between 5C and 55C.
- Length of front end must be greater than 10mm.
- Outlet end face of tap shall be flat. If not, flatten it with a file to avoid leakage.
Connect the water inlet hose with the faucet
- Push slider down to remove pipe joint from water inlet assembly, as shown in Fig 1.
- Loosen 4 screws on pipe joint properly and then connect joint to tap, as shown in fig 2. (If diameter of tap is too large and connection of pipe joint is unavailable, loosen 4 screws and remove bush, as shown in Fig 3. Front end of tap must be flat, or water leakage would occur).
- Tighten 4 screws on pipe joint evenly, as shown in Fig 4.
- Tighten nuts as shown in Fig 5.
Note: length of exposed thread before and after tightening of fastening nuts shall change from approximately 4mm to 2mm.
Connection of water pipe and washing machine
Connect water pipe nuts to inlet valve head, tighten nuts and slightly shake to check if they are tightened properly, as shown in figure:
Notice
- Tighten evenly and do not twist water pipe, or pipe joint would be damaged.
- Do not remove absorbing pad and check if it falls off or be damaged or not every time the washing machine is going to be used. If yes, contact Hisense service department immediately.
Connection of pipe joint and water pipe
- Press slider down and insert water pipe into joint.
- Then release the slider.

- After connection, open tap to check if there is any leakage.
- Gently pull water pipe to check if it is secured.
- Do not bend water pipe forcibly.
- Before every use, check if connection of pipe joint and tap and water pipe connection is secured, in order to prevent disconnection caused by improper mounting.
Remove water pipe
- Close tap.
- Press down slider to remove water pipe.
If the washing machine would be used once or more times in a week, do not remove pipe joint, in order to prevent set screws from being damaged.
Preparation before washing
Preparation before washing
- Connect the water inlet hose. Open the water faucet.
- Confirm that the washing machine is earthed reliably. Then plug the power plug into the receptacle. The earthing terminal shall not link to gas pipeline and faucet water pipeline.
- Put down the drain hose.
Pay attention to followings before washing
- Check if the laundries are applicable for washing.
- Divide the laundries that are not colorfast from other laundries.
- Put those laundries difficult to absorb water into water with hand.
- For those laundries with heavy soil, please first remove the dirt like mud or dust. For the parts with heavy soil, please apply a detergent on them in advance, which can make it easier to remove the soil.
- For those laundries that may get lint ball and those with long fur, turn it over before putting in.
- Do not put those laundries polluted by chemicals into the washing machine directly
- When washing small items, easily tangled clothes and easily wearing clothes and plush clothes, please place them in a laundry bag.

Put in the laundries
- The capacity of washing and spinning refer to the largest weight of the standard laundries under dry condition that can be washed or spinned in one cycle. Washing quantity for one cycle shall be less than the rated capacity. The largest capacity of this machine is 8.0kg.
- The thickness, size and type of the cloth will influence the actual washing capacity. It is feasible to put in suitable amount of laundries and the laundries can be tumbled normally in washing for one cycle.
- Please do not select high water level for laundries less than 1.5 kg to avoid splashing.
- In using water with high temperature, please pay attention to the washing temperature limit stated on the label of the laundries.
How to use the washing powder
Directly dissolved in the machine (Not applicable for Fuzzy program and Delay wash):
- Fill in small quantity of water.
- Add the washing powder. Run for 30 seconds to dissolve it completely.
- Put in the laundries. Select suitable water level.
The instant dissolving of the washing powder:
- Prepare warm water of 30°C and a container.
- Add the powder into the container while stirring to fully dissolve it.
- The powder is more likely to pollute the laundries than the detergent. Therefore please use it with suitable quantity.
- It is suggested not to use high sudsing detergent.
- Washing powder with poor quality or long time storage may be caked. Please pay attention to cleaning the detergent box in time.

Programs and Options
Follow the steps below to program the washing machine according to your needs:
Power
- Press Power button to turn on the washing machine.
- Press Power button again to turn washing machine off.
- After the power is switched on, if the washing machine is not started or no key is operated within 10 minutes, power supply of it will be disconnected automatically.
IMPORTANT
- A signal will sound at the end of the wash cycle and the washing machine will turn off automatically.
Start/Pause
- Press Start/Pause to start washing machine.
- Pressing Start/Pause again will pause washing machine at any stage in the wash process.
Program Selection
- Select Wash Program based on fabric, soil level, and load size.
The states and meaning of lights
- When the indicator light turns on, the washing machine will run the programs on the left.
- When the indicator light flashes, the washing machine will run the programs on the right.
Programs and Options
Description of programs
- When the indicator light stays on, it represents that the “Standard”, “Heavy”, “Spin”, “Wash only” or “Tub Clean” program is activated; when the indicator light flashes, it represents that the “Quick”, “Delicate”, “Rinse+ Spin”, “Aqua Preserve” or “Air Dry” program is activated.
- Aqua Preserve: When the “Aqua Preserve” program is selected, normal washing and rinse process will be carried out in washing program. However, the water drainage will be paused and the buzzer will be sounded to give reminder before the last drainage, and the remaining time will be displayed and flashes at the same time. At this time, the user can place the drain pipe in a container and press the “Start/Pause” button, then the washing machine will start to drain and activate the spin process.
- Tub Clean: When the “Tub Clean” program is selected, the water level is defaulted to 10 and cannot be adjusted, and add detergent to clean inner and outer drum of the washing machine.
- Air dry: When the “Air Dry” program is selected, water level cannot be selected and fixed spin process will be activated, in order to dry moisture or a small number of clothes in the drum by air.
_ Note: _When selecting the “Air Dry” program to dry clothes by air, the weight of clothes shall be less than 1.5 kg.
Water level
- 10 water levels are available for this machine and the 5th water level will be selected in default when the washing machine is started.
- A proper water level can be selected by pressing this key in accordance with the amount of the clothes to be washed.
- When selecting the water level, the LED display will display the corresponding water level; when the washing machine operates, the LED display will display the remaining time. When the “Water Level” is pressed, corresponding water level will be displayed and then the remaining time of the program will be displayed after 3s.
Child Lock
- When any program is started, if the “Water level” and “Program” keys are pressed simultaneously for more than 3s, the child lock function will be activated, and remaining time of the program and code of child lock “CL” will be displayed in turn and all the remaining keys are inoperative at this time.
- When the “Water level” and “Program” keys are pressed simultaneously for 3s or longer again, the child lock will be cancelled and only the remaining time of the program will be displayed on the LED display.
- In the child lock mode, if there is any abnormal alarm, the code of child lock “CL” and the alarm code will be displayed in turn. At this time, please refer to the “Trouble Shooting” for details of the alarms and troubleshooting ways. And, the child lock continues to be effective after troubleshooting.
- If the door cover is opened, the “E1” alarm will be given. If the door cover is not closed within 5s, the washing machine will drain water automatically and stop draining after troubleshooting. If the door cover is closed within 5s, the washing machine will not drain water and will continue to operate after troubleshooting by pressing the “Start/Pause” button.

Disposal after washing
If the cabinet is dirty, wipe it with wet soft cloth.

Do not wash with water directly.

Wipe with neutral detergent.

Do not wipe with thinner, petrol, alcohol etc.

The filter screen is likely to be blocked by foreign materials and influences water inlet. Please clean it with brush frequently.
Use filter during washing to collect thread residue and wool dregs.
Clean immediately after every use as followings:
- Place your thumb on bayonet of filter screen and press it down firmly to pull out the filter screen.
- Open the filter screen and remove the dirt.
- Rinse it thoroughly with water.
- Close the filter screen, align bottom of the filter screen with the guiding plate and then insert top of the filter screen into the guiding plate until a “click” sound is heard.
- After washing, close the water faucet. (If desired, dismount the water inlet hose).
- Do not store water in the washing machine for a long period. Drain the water completely after each using.
- Be sure to pull off the power plug before maintenance.
- Hang up the power cord and drain hose.
- Wipe off the power drops on the surface of the washing machine and inside the tub. Open the top lid for some time (about 1 hour), then close the top lid.
