Product Information

The product mentioned in the manual is an interface for a car’s audio and navigation system. It allows the user to connect their smartphone or other devices to the car’s audio system and use it for navigation and music playback.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Remove control panel rear center armrest by unclipping the vent panel near the backseat and pulling out the rubber mat. Unscrew the two 8mm bolts found behind the rubber mat. Tilt the entire panel back and let it hang.
  2. Remove the trim strips from the side panels by pulling both trim strips (the hockey sticks) from back to front working up and loose. This requires some strength. If necessary, use removal tools. Set aside the decorative strips.
  3. Unscrew the air conditioning control unit (4x 8mm bolt) and pull out the plug. Set the part aside.
  4. Unscrew the mounting bracket (4x torx20) around the display.
  5. Unscrew both control panels of the display (4x torx 20).
  6. Unscrew the display (4x torx 20).
  7. Unscrew the navigation unit (2x torx 20).
  8. Connect the interface (plug) by disconnecting the big grey plug on the radio at first and reconnecting using the new Y-cable with big grey connectors. Disconnect the small grey connector at the monitor as second using the new Y-cable with small grey connectors. Connect the video cable to the display and leave the original video plug unplugged. Connect the antenna and all other cables to the interface.
  9. Test the system (operate).

Range Rover Sport with Bosch system

The interface is connected via a connection plug to the display. It is estimated that it is 30-60 minutes of work to connect the interface. No programming is necessary.

  • Step 1 Disconnect the battery To be on the safe side, disconnect the battery first. In that case, make sure that the locks no longer work either!
  • Step 2. Remove the front panel (unclick) Carefully remove the front panel with removal tools. Start at the right bottom. The entire front panel is fixed with clips.

  • Step 3. Remove control panel rear center armrest Remove near the backseat the vent panel (unclip) and pull out the rubber mat. Behind the rubber mat are two 8 mm bolts. Unscrew it. Tilt the entire panel back and let it hang.

  • Step 5. Remove the mounting bracket around the display Unscrew the mounting bracket (4x torx20).

  • Step 6. Unscrew both control panels of the display (4x torx 20)

  • Step 7. Unscrew the display (4x torx 20)

  • Step 8. Unscrew the navigation unit (2x torx 20 )

  • Step 9. Connect the interface (plug) Disconnect the big grey plug on the radio at first and reconnect using the new Y-cable with big grey connectors. Disconnect the small grey connector at the monitor as second using the new Y-cable with small grey connectors. Connect the video cable to the display and leave the original video plug unplugged. Connect the antenna and all other cables to the interface.

  • Step 10. Test the system (operate) Test the system with regard to graphics, sound, calling, switching between radio and interface and rear camera (if present). Activate the system via the NAV button. The dip switches are set to 00000000 by default (0 = OFF, 1 is ON). In case the display has shifted, try 00010000 or 00001000. After modification, pull out the power plug and plug it back in.

  • Step 11. Install the interface Place the interface behind the screen, there is just enough space.

  • Step 12. Run the USB cable to the glove compartment Find a free space for the transit, for example, at the bottom right of the screen. The USB cable is only needed for wired playback or a possible software update. The entire system works wirelessly. If necessary drill a hole (10 mm) in the glove compartment).

  • Step 13. Reinstall the panels (clicks, screws) Reinstall all panels in reverse order.

  • Step 14. Enjoy!
