Riptide Nautilus 6.0 Inground Exercise Pool

Product Information

The Nautilus 6.0 Inground Exercise Pool is an exercise pool designed for in- ground installation. It requires electrical supply, drainage, and access for delivery and installation. The electrical work should be carried out by a competent electrician registered with one of the following: BRE Certification Ltd (ECA & IEE); British Standards Institution; ELECSA Ltd; NICEIC Certification Services Ltd or Zurich Certification Limited. The pool needs to be drained 3-4 times per year, and a submersible pump with hose is needed for draining. The pool comes with a cover and will be delivered using a flatbed lorry with a lorry-mounted lifting arm known as a Hiab.

Product Usage Instructions

  • Electrical Supply:

    • Your swim spa will require a dedicated power supply of 45amps. This should be correctly fused with a TYPE C breaker at your consumer unit. This work should be carried out by a reputable and qualified Electrician. We require a rotary isolator switch to be mounted somewhere near to the pool and then a length of cable run to your pit. If you intend to bury your cable, please ensure to use 50mm black high impact ducting buried at least 450mm deep. We will require a 4m length of 6mm cable to be left for us to connect into the electrical compartment. We recommend that this is left hanging out of the side of the pit to allow us to feed it through into the sealed compartment and then connected to your pool.
    • To comply with BS7671 legislation as of the January 2005 a competent electrician registered with one of the following must carry out all electrical work: BRE Certification Ltd (ECA & IEE); British Standards Institution; ELECSA Ltd; NICEIC Certification Services Ltd or Zurich Certification Limited.
  • Base:
Your pool must be sited on a base of 6” reinforced concrete. The base should be a minimum of 6.0m by 2.55m. This will allow for the strops that are used to lower the pool into your pit to be safely removed by one of the delivery team. Please note that it is important that the base is flat and level as the pool cannot be shimmed or levelled and has a flat underside that sits directly on the floor. If you base is unlevel this will affect not only the aesthetics once filled with water but could affect the filtration and function of the swim jets.

  • Drainage:
The pool needs to be drained 3-4 times per year depending on usage. To drain the pool, a submersible pump with hose long enough to reach a suitable drain point is required. These pumps are readily available from places like Machine Mart or ScrewFix.

  • Covers:
Your pool is delivered with industry standard hard insulated covers. Your salesperson would have explained how these operate. The covers come with straps that allow them to be securely fastened down to the side of the pool cabinet for safety reasons. If you wish to use these straps, then you will need to allow for 250mm of the side of the pool cabinet to be extruding to allow the female half of the clips to be secured vertically to the pool. Alternatively, you can secure the clips horizontally to the floor around the pool, however, please be aware this could create a small trip hazard.

  • Access and Delivery:

    • At the point of sale your salesperson would have asked you to fill out a plan of access, to take some photos or a site survey would have been arranged for you. Please forward this information as soon as possible to install@hottubbarn.co.uk with your name and postcode and one of our team will look and advise.
    • Your pool will be delivered using a flatbed lorry with a lorry mounted lifting arm known as a Hiab. If we are unable to drive up next to the pit to be able to lower it in safely then you will need to organise a crane which will be at the customers cost. Please contact either your salesperson or the installation department who will be happy to talk you through the process and look at your individual requirements.
    • We regret we are unable to accept responsibility for any damage caused to underground services during installation by Hiab or crane.
  • To Arrange Delivery:
Once your pool has arrived at our warehousing facility, one of our team will get in touch to arrange delivery. If you would like to keep track of your order, please feel free to contact your salesperson, and they will be able to keep you updated.
