This section provides important information about the proper usage of the electric scooter.

Statement

  1. The electric scooter is a sport and entertainment tool and not a transportation vehicle. You must learn to master riding skills before driving it in public areas. The company shall not be liable for any casualties or losses caused by drivers’ inexperience or failure to follow the instructions in this user manual.
  2. Please respect pedestrians’ rights of way when driving. Slow down when passing behind them, stay alert on unconventional complex roads, and maintain a reasonable and safe distance from others and vehicles.
  3. When driving in countries and regions without relevant national standards and regulations for electric scooters, you must strictly abide by the safety requirements of this manual for riders. The company will not bear any direct and joint liabilities for all financial, personal losses, accidents, legal disputes, and all other unfavorable events that cause conflicts of interest caused by the use behaviors that violate the instructions in this manual.
  4. Do not lend the electric scooter to people who cannot operate it. When lending the electric scooter to a friend, teach them to use it until they learn basic operation skills. They must wear safety protective gear before using it.

Product Usage Instructions

Pre-Driving Inspection

Before each use, perform a basic inspection of the electric scooter:

  • Check for any abnormalities such as obvious loose parts, significantly reduced battery life, slow tire leaks or excessive wear, abnormal steering noise or malfunction.
  • If any abnormalities are found, stop using the electric scooter immediately and contact the after-sales service phone to obtain professional guidance or repair and maintenance services.
  • Do not drive forcibly.

Product Cleaning and Maintenance

Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive chemical solvents to clean the electric scooter, and it is forbidden to use a pressure gun to spray and wash. Doing so may result in electric shock or cause serious failure due to internal water.

Product Battery Usage and Charging

  • Do not use other types or brands of battery packs, do not touch the battery contacts, and do not disassemble or puncture the shell.
  • Avoid metal objects contacting the battery contacts and causing short circuits.
  • Only use the original charger to charge the battery pack, otherwise, there is a danger of damage or fire.
  • Do not place the electric scooter or its battery pack in a car exposed to the sun in summer, and it is forbidden to put the battery pack into a fire.
  • When not using the scooter for more than 30 days, fully charge it first, store it in a cool and dry place, and fully charge it every 60 days. Otherwise, the battery may be damaged, and this damage is not covered by the warranty.

Product Modification

Only use the parts and accessories approved by the company. Do not modify your electric scooter without authorization. Damage caused by unauthorized modification is not covered by the warranty. The company will not bear any responsibility for property losses, personal injuries, accidents, etc. caused by unauthorized modification.

Thank you for choosing D50 Electric scooter. The electric scooter is a new type of fashionable outdoor transportation tool. It has the advantages of low- carbon emission, protecting the environment, improving travel efficiency, and also a relaxing & exercising activity. The D50 electric scooter owns the advantages of simple structure, light weight and simplicity & stylish shape. The scooter body adopts an integrated magnesium alloy design, which is light, rigid and has excellent shock absorption performance. The scooter front tube is equipped with a LED dashboard, which is beautiful, intelligent and full of sense of science and technology. Please read this user manual carefully before using.

Button function introduction

  1. Press button and swipe card on button to power on.
  2. Short press button to switch gears.
  3. Double-press button to switch headlights.
  4. Long press button for 2S to power off.

It also could be turned on by E-moving APP, or by swiping the card with the bound boot card. When binding card, dashboard will show “-N”, and N is 1, 2, 3, 4, which means the Nth card to be bound. When the card is bound successfully, dashboard will show “PA”, and if the card binding fails or the card swipe fails, the meter displays “FA”.

Emoving APP Using

  1. Download
    • Search “Emoving” in “App Store” or “Google Play”, download and install.
  2. Code bind
    • Open the Emoving APP, click the “Get Started” button, the bound e-bike will show the device name.As for the unbound e-bike, click the add button, the APP will show a scan page, scan the end page of the manual then You can bind the e-bike to the APP (after the APP uninstalled, the information of bound e-bike will be cleared, if you want to use it, please bind it again)
  3. Card bind
    • Click the bound e-bike on Emoving to enter the main interface,then click the card management page, click Bind the card, and then place the boot card in the scan code area, and the binding is successful.

Accessories checking

Front tube assembly

on a flat ground. Open the kickstand

  1. ①, Take the scooter head and connect the male & female of the communication cable, and then thread the inner wires of the front and rear brake cables into the two brake pipe which exposed on the frame respectively (Note: the longer brake inner wire is penetrated into the lower brake cable pipe, the short brake inner wire is penetrated into the higher brake cable pipe, and the inner wire of the brake cable must be inserted into the fixed position of the locking brake cable manually), and then inserted the scooter head to the frame upper tube ②,
  2. Use the Allen wrench provided with the vehicle accessories to fasten the front end and the riser ③, and then adjust the front and rear brakes ④, ⑤.

Power on testing

After the installation is completed, start these tests:

  1. Startup detection
  2. Gear shift detection
  3. Headlamp detection
  4. Brake force detection

Note: There is the risk of falling down and getting hurt for beginners learning electric scooter. Please wear helmet and protective gear.

How to charging

Notice

  1. When the battery power is used out, charge it in time to avoid damage to the battery.
  2. When charging is complete, you need to unplug the charging port in time, do not charge the battery for a long time.
  3. Limit 0 ° C ~ 45 ° C, – 20 ° C ~ 60 ° C discharge, keep the battery in dry condition.
  4. It is strictly forbidden to place the battery in acidic or alkaline liquid,avoid rain, and keep away from fire source, heat source and high temperature environment.
  5. Please use the original charger; charging time is not more than 6 hours; charging current is not more than 6A.
  6. When don’t use it for a long time, please put the battery in a cool and dry place, and charge the battery for two hours every two months.
  7. Charging should be carried out in a ventilated environment. It is strictly forbidden to charge in a confined space or in a hot sun.
  8. In case of abnormal indicator light, peculiar smell or overheating of charger shell during charging, stop charging immediately and repair or replace the charger.
  9. During the use and storage of the charger, pay attention to avoid the entry of foreign matters, especially the running water or other liquids, so as to avoid the internal short circuit of the charger.
  10. Do not disassemble or replace the parts in the charger by yourself.

Charging on the scooter

Charging battery in the scooter

Pull out the pull pin under the right side of saddle and turn over the saddle to see the battery charging port. Then insert the charging head. When the charger indicator light is red, indicating that it is charging. When the charger indicator light turns green, it indicates that the charging is completed.

Charging the battery separately

  • Pull out the pull pin under the saddle, turn over the saddle, you can see the battery lock, open the battery lock with the key, pull out the battery, you can lift the battery away for charging.

Attention

  1. When the scooter is on, Do not turn the handle when needs to be pushed.
  2. Do not hang backpacks or other things on handlebars during riding.
  3. Do not speed up when you are down the slope.
  4. Hold the handlebars tightly with both hands during riding . Do not drive with one hand.
  5. Do not swing the scooter or turn the handlebar greatly during high-speed driving.
  6. Do not drive at high speed on bumpy road sections. Do not ride over obvious steps more than 2cm at high

Scooter Maintenance

Brake adjustment

  • When you feel the brake is too loose after driving, you can loosen the fastening screw of drum brake cable with the tools, then adjust it to a proper position, and then lock the screw.

Shaking adjustment

  • When you feel scooter head is shaking, use the tools to tighten the screw at the connection between scooter head and the tube counterclockwise, and also tighten the screw at the connection between the tube and the frame.

Storage and Maintenance

  1. After riding, please store the scooter in a place without in direct sunlight and rain.
  2. Check the screws and the places that need to be tightened, and tighten them regularly
  3. If there are stains on the surface of the scooter body, use a soft cloth dipped in a small amount of water to wipe it; Do not use alcohol, gasoline or other corrosive, volatile chemical solvents Otherwise, the appearance or internal structure of the scooter body will be seriously damaged.
