2.2 Function
The indoor garden consists of a frame on which the LED grow light is mounted.
The bowl is positioned on the frame. It contains the holder for the trays. The
trays hold the seed pads in place by means of an elevation in the center. A
wick supplies water to the seed pads. The wick draws the water up from the
bowl. Usually, the bowl needs to be refilled once a week. The light is
adjusted to the light spectrum of the microgreens and can be dimmed
accordingly. A timer can be used to simulate daytime and nighttime with a
12-hour rhythm.
The lamp is operated by two push buttons on the frame above the light strip.
The lamp is connected to the power supply by an external power supply unit.
The power supply is adapted to the socket using pluggable adapters. The device
offers space for 3 seed ads. The seed pads are supplied dry and ready for
use. The seed pads have a recess in the center for positioning and for optimal
water supply.
The seed pads swell after being wetted with water, providing an open, moist structure that is ideal for germination and root growth. The seed pads are ready to use and provide the seeds with the necessary nutrients.
