Cordless Work Light AT-CWL100LED20V
The Cordless Work Light AT-CWL100LED20V is designed for domestic indoor
lighting. It emits strong light, including UV, visible and infrared light. The
equipment is designed for low safe voltage, and protection against electric
shock is provided by a low safe voltage. The appliance is not waterproof and
is not designed for commercial or industrial use. It is protected against
solid foreign bodies of 12 mm (1/2 in) diameter and larger.

- Battery Use and Maintenance
- To prevent accidental activation and the associ-ated blinding hazard, always make sure the ap-pliance is off (power switch at 0) before inserting the battery, as well as before moving the appli-ance. To prevent accidental activation and the
- risk of blinding bystanders, keep your finger off the switch when moving the appliance.
- The appliance may only be charged using the manufacturer-specified charger. A charger that may be suitable for one type of battery pack may cause a fire risk when used with another battery pack.
- The appliance may only be used with batteries specifically designed for it. Using any other bat-tery carries a risk of injury or fire.
- When the battery is not in use, it must be protect-ed from contact with other metal objects, such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can cause one battery contact to come in contact with another.
- Short-cir-cuiting the battery terminals may cause burns or fire.
- If used incorrectly, liquids may leak from the bat-tery; contact with them should be avoided. In the case of accidental contact with these fluids, the affected area must be rinsed with water. In addi-tion, seek medical attention if fluid gets
- into the eye. Liquids escaping from the battery can cause inflammation or burns.
- Do not use the appliance or battery if they have been damaged or modified. A damaged or mod-ified battery can exhibit unpredictable behaviour, which can result in fire, explosion, or injury.
- Do not throw the battery in fire. It can explode. When disposing of batteries, do so in accordance with environmental regulations applicable in your area.
- Follow all charging instructions; do not charge the battery in rain or outside the temperature range specified in this manual. Improper charging or charging at temperatures outside this range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire. Do not short-circuit the battery. Keep the bat-tery’s terminals away from electrically conductive objects.
- Do not expose battery to water, rain, snow, etc. Store the battery in a dry and well-ventilated place. The battery may not be stored where flam-mables, volatiles, or explosives are stored or used. Keep the battery in its protective case (if supplied with one) when not in use, except for the duration of charging.
- Regularly recharge the battery, even during peri-ods of disuse. To improve the battery’s useful life, we recommend charging it at least once every three months.

USE
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
Warning: Only use battery packs specified by the manufacturer as suitable
or recommended for this tool model. Using a different battery pack can result
in loss of warranty, damage to the product, damage to property, or a serious
risk of injury or death.
Recommended types of batteries and chargers
The battery and charger are not included. Only use these recommended types of
batteries and chargers.

Note: Using a battery pack of more than 4 Ah capacity may make the light
unstable and prone to tipping over, due to the extra weight. Take extra care

Inserting and removing the batter y
Follow the instructions, directions and warnings in the relevant operating
instructions when handling the battery.
Before inserting the battery, check:
- the appliance is off;
- the battery is fully charged.
To insert the battery, proceed as follows:
- Tilt the lamp to the angle shown in Figure A1.
- Align the grooves in the battery compartment with the slots on the battery, then slide the battery home until it clicks. (In Fig. A2, 1 marks catch, 2 marks battery.)
- To remove the battery, press the catch and pull the battery out.
- Before powering on, make sure the battery has been properly inserted.
- When inserting and removing the battery, hold it and the appliance firmly to prevent damage from improper handling (e.g. fall).
- Do not insert or remove the battery by force. If it cannot be easily removed, it is likely that it has not been inserted correctly. Contact an authorized service center.
Checking the Charge
The battery is equipped with a charge status indicator (3 LEDs). To check the
charge status, press the button on the side (Fig. C). If all LEDs are lit, the
charge level is high. When two LEDs are lit, the battery is partially
discharged. If only one LED is lit, the battery is discharged and must be
recharged.
BEFORE USE
Warning: Before setting the lamp and handle angle, always check the
appliance is off (power switch at 0) and the battery has been removed. Do not
set the lamp or handle angle while the appliance is on.
Setting Lamp Angle
- Release both sides’ twist locks counterclockwise (in Fig. C1, 1 marks twist locks).
- Set the lamp angle. The maximum is 120°.
- Engage both sides’ twist locks clockwise (Fig. C2).
Warning: When setting the lamp angle, hold the appliance firmly to prevent damage from improper handling (e.g. fall).
Setting Handle Angle
- Use a wrench to release the hexagonal bolts on both sides of the handle, by turning counter-clockwise (in Fig. D1, 1 marks hexagonal bolts).
- Set the handle to the required angle.
- Tighten the hexagonal bolts clockwise (Fig. D2).
USE
Before powering on, make sure that:
- The lamp angle is set properly;
- The handle angle is set properly;
- All nuts and bolts are tight;
- The battery is inserted correctly;
- The battery is fully charged.
- The appliance has two light intensity levels (Fig. E).
- Setting the power switch to I will activate the light in high-power mode.
- Setting the power switch to II will activate the light in low-power mode.
- Setting the power switch to 0 will power off the appliance.
Warning: Do not stare into the light; do not shine it in others’ eyes. There is a risk of serious eye damage.
Overdischarge Protection
If the battery charge level drops too low, the appliance will automatically
turn off. When this happens, set the power switch to 0, then remove the
battery and charge it.
Note: The overdischarge protection circuit is a safety feature designed
to protect the battery pack from damage. To avoid risk of serious, even fatal
injury, do not attempt to bypass or modify the pro-tection circuit.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Warning: Before any maintenance or cleaning, always check the appliance
is off (power switch at 0) and the battery has been removed.
Occasionally wipe the appliance with a soft, wet sponge, then dry off with a
towel.
Keep water away from the vents.
Warning:
- Do not use petrol, thinner, alcohol or other similar substances for cleaning. These might warp or crack the housing or damage the finish.
- Do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or other liquids. Do not use a hose or pressure washer for cleaning. Do not expose the tool to dripping or splashing water.
Storage
Before storing the appliance, always check it is off (power switch at 0) and
the battery has been re-moved.
Store the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated area out of the reach of
children, pets and persons not trained in its safe use. Only store the
appliance in interior areas.
Fully charge the battery and store it in a dry and well-ventilated area where
the temperature does not commonly fall below freezing. During long-term
storage, recharge the battery every three months to extend its useful life.
