CKS1500 SmartSet Clock Radio with Auto Time Setting System
Product Information
The product is a CKS1500 clock radio with AM/FM radio and alarm features. The clock radio has a front and top panel for controls and display, a rear panel with a speaker, FM antenna, AC adapter, and back up battery compartment. It also has a CLOCK SET button, TUNE- and TUNE+ buttons for adjusting the time, date, and year settings, and an ON/OFF button for turning the radio on and off. The clock radio can also be set with alarms and has a SNOOZE/DIMMER/SLEEP button for controlling these features.
Product Usage Instructions
- Remove any descriptive labels, stickers, or protective films on the front or top of the cabinet, if any.
- Read and keep the instructions. Heed all warnings and follow all instructions.
- Do not use this apparatus near water. Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. The plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. Do not use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall not be placed on the apparatus.
- The mains plug is used as a disconnect device and should remain readily operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the mains completely, the mains plug should be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely. The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like. Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- To check the current year-date-day of week-time settings, press briefly the CLOCK SET button repeatedly to cycle through each setting.
- To set the year, press and hold the CLOCK SET button until the year flashes. Use the TUNE- or TUNE+ button to adjust the year. Press the CLOCK SET button to confirm.
- To set the date, press the CLOCK SET button again and release. The date will flash. Use the TUNE- or TUNE+ button to adjust the month. Press the CLOCK SET button again and release. The date will flash again. Use the TUNE- or TUNE+ button to adjust the date. Press the CLOCK SET button to confirm.
- To set the time, press the CLOCK SET button again and release. The hour will flash. Use the TUNE- or TUNE+ button to adjust the hour (where AM indicator ‘On’ is AM, ‘Off’ is PM). Press the CLOCK SET button again and release. The minutes will flash. Use the TUNE- or TUNE+ button to adjust the minutes. Press the CLOCK SET button to confirm.
- Note: Time zone and clock settings can only be adjusted in Standby mode, where the AM/FM Radio is disabled (i.e. the indicators of kHz and MHz are ‘Off’).
- To adjust alarm settings, the clock radio must be in Standby mode. Use the TIME ZONE/MEM./STO. button to cycle through alarm settings and use the TUNE- or TUNE+ button to adjust them.

13.) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required
when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or
plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the
apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not
operate normally, or has been dropped. 14.) Use only with the cart, stand,
tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the
apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus
combination to avoid injury from tip-over. 15.) The apparatus shall not be
exposed to dripping or splashing and that no
objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on apparatus. 16.)

Checking the Current Year-Date-Day of Week-Time Settings Press briefly the CLOCK SET button repeatedly to see the cycle of year, date, day of week and time. To restore time display mode, leave it idle for few secs.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Turn Daylight Saving Function Off / On (in standby mode only) Daylight Saving
Time is NOT observed in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin
Islands and in, most of Arizona, with exception of the Navajo Indian
Reservation in Arizona. If you do not want the clock to adjust itself
automatically according to Daylight Saving Time, you can disable it by
pressing and holding the TUNE+ (DST start date) or TUNE- (DST end date) button
for 5 secs, the display will show DST start or end date accordingly, which
means the auto Daylight Saving Time has been enabled (`On’ by default). Press
either the TUNE+ or TUNE- button to toggle between ‘OFF’ or ‘On’ DST setting.
Leave it idle for a few seconds to save your DST setting and resume to clock
mode.
Adjusting The Wake Up Time and Alarm Week Mode IMPORTANT:Alarm settings can
only be adjusted in Standby mode.
you may use one alarm for weekdays and the other for weekend wake up times.The
procedure for adjusting the wake up times is the same for both Alarm1and
Alarm2. ·Press and hold either the AL1 or AL2 button until the display blinks
and changes from
the current time to the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 wake up time. ·Release the AL1(AL2)
button,press the TUNE- or TUNE+ button to adjust Hour,press the AL1(AL2) again
to confirm, then the Minutes will blink, press TUNE- or TUNE+ to adjust
Minutes.
·Press the AL1(AL2) button again,Alarm Week Mode will blink .Press the TUNE-
or TUNE+ button repeatedly to select your desired Alarm Week Mode:d1-7,d1-5 or
d6-7 ·Press the AL1(AL2) button again to store the alarm setting and resume to
clock mode.

necessary.
6) Press the AL1 (AL2) button to save the alarm settings. 7) Press the AL1
(AL2) button repeatedly, if necessary, until 1(2) indicator glows
(alarm activated)
