INSTRUCTION FOR USE

Dries and cares your hearing systems and implants
Moisture and ear wax can impair the function of hearing systems and cause failures. The DRY-SPACE UV offers optimal care. Comfort drying at 113°F (45°C) extends life time significantly. Ultraviolet light (253,7nm UV-C) eliminates 99,9% of germs and bacteria. This clinical cleanliness prevents ear infections risks and protects both your hearing systems as well as your health.

Using first time

1. Insert your country-specific power adapter into the universal power supply by sliding it into the slot

2. Insert the USB-cable into the 5 V universal power supply and the round plug connector into the jack on the rear side of your drying station

3. Then plug the universal power supply into an AC power socket
   
   Operation

4. Open the lid of your DRY-SPACE UV

5. Remove the batteries from your battery pack, keep the battery pack cover separate and place the hearing systems into your DRY-SPACE UV
   

6. Briefly press the button and the comfort drying program (drying + UV-C) is starting automatically

   • The 5 hours drying program with approx. 113°F (45°C) warm air is fully processor controlled i LED permanent light

7. Close the lid

   • Ultraviolet light (253,7 nm) eliminates germs and bacteria to 99.9% within 1 minutes i LED blink light
   • After 1 min the UV-C light switch off automatically, the drying process continues i LED permanent light
   • Within the last minute of the 5 hours drying program, a second UV-C hygiene runs i LED blink light
   • After 5 hours the drying station shutdown to stand-by automatically i LED switch off
     

8. Open the lid again

9. Remove the dried and hygienically cleaned hearing systems
   

Maintenance and operation

• We recommend wet wipes for cleaning your DRY-SPACE UV
• You can interrupt the drying process by holding the button for more than 3 seconds
• The DRY-SPACE UV is very energy efficient; unplug the power supply only for prolonged absence

Warnings

• Avoid contact with water
• Don’t use the DRY-SPACE UV near basins etc.
• In the event of a malfunction, unplug the power supply and take the drying station to your retailer
• Don’t disassemble the drying station and use only the supplied 5 V power adapter
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they don’t use the drying station as a toy
• The drying station is not to be used by persons who have limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or who do not have sufficient experience and/or knowledge of the drying station, unless they are supervised for their own safety by a responsible person, or receive instructions on how to use the drying station
• CAUTION: Do not look into the UV-C light, as this can harm your eyes and your skin
• The drying station has an automatic room and temperature modulation as well as safety shutdowns, when the lid is opened during UV-C program
• Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste; use separate collection facilities
• Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available
• If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being
