Safety instructions
- Read the instruction manual carefully before use and save it for future use.
- Plug the adapter to 220-240V only, and use the appliance only for the intended use.
- Always unplug before cleaning and maintenance.
- The appliance must not be immersed in water or any other liquids.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their safety and they understand the hazards involved.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.
- Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children, unless they are over the age of 8 and supervised.
- Only use original OBH Nordica filters.
- Check that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table.
- Do not place the appliance on or near hotplates, open fire or the like.
- Always examine appliance, cord and plug for damage before use. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- For additional protection the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is recommended. Ask your installer for advice.
- The appliance is for domestic use only.
- If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended or if it is not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages of the product as a consequence of the above are not covered by the warranty.

Functions of the control panel

Filter of the appliance
- Coarse filter – removes big particles, hair etc.
- Charcoal filter – absorbs odour.
- HEPA filter – efficient removal of fine dust and cigarette smoke by up to 99.97%. It even reduces bacteria, mould spores and virus particles
Before use – mounting of filter
Before you use the appliance for the first time, remove the plastic
surrounding the filters Open the front of the appliance by pulling the upper
part outwards (see fig.) Pull out the filters from the appliance and remove
the plastic and put the filters back in the appliance. Mount the HEPA-filter
(the white filter) farthest in with the Velcro flaps facing outwards. Next
secure the charcoal filter (black) under the plastic hooks on the back of the
coarse filter (mounted in a plastic frame). Position the coarse filter with
the charcoal filter facing the Velcro flaps of the HEPA filter and click it
into place. Check that the
text “FRONT” on the plastic rim of the coarse filter is facing outwards to
show that the filter has been correctly mounted. Next, fasten the front of the
appliance again by inserting the plastic spikes at the bottom of the front in
the corresponding grooves of the appliance. Close the front and press until it
is correctly positioned.
How to use the appliance
- Put the appliance on an even and stable surface at least 20 cm from walls and other objects. Make sure that the air circulation around the appliance is not blocked and position the appliance at least 2 metres from other electrical appliances.
- Connect the plug of the appliance to a wall outlet. All indicator lamps will flash and then go out.
- Press the on/off button and select a fan speed by means of the speed button SPEED (AUTO, 1-3, ECO). By choosing the automatic function, the air quality sensor registers the air quality in the room and will automatically optimize the speed between 1-3. If, however, you choose the eco function, the fan will turn off automatically if no pollution is registered within 10 minutes of use. Note that the appliance has been set at speed 2 from the factory.
- If you want to activate the ionization function press the IONIZER button (the indicator lamp goes on) and the air will be cleaned and neutralized by an increase of the concentration of negative ions. This is also effective in case of unpleasant odour. In order to shut off the function, press the button again until the indicator lamp goes out.
Never put anything on top of the air purifier and do not cover it with a rug or other textiles.
Timer function
By means of the timer function you can set the air purifier to automatically
switch off after 1, 4 or 8 hours.
- Activate the appliance and set the speed you want according to the above instructions.
- To activate the timer, press the timer button until the wanted indicator lamp goes on (1hr, 4hr, 8hr)
- To deactivate the timer function, press the timer button until all indicator lamps go off.
How to change filter
When the indicator lamp/lamps for changing of filter “FILTER RESET – HEPA/ODOR” flashes/flash, the filter/filters should be changed immediately as follows:

Unplug from the wall outlet.

Open the front of the appliance by pulling the upper part outwards (see fig.) Remove the filter to be changed (coal filter (black filter) every 6 months, the HEPA filter once a year) and replace it/them by a new filter/filters
(available in our shops) Put the filter/filters back in in the correct order, the HEPA filter at the innermost position with the Velcro flaps facing outwards. Secure the charcoal filter (black) under the plastic hooks on the back of the coarse filter (mounted in a plastic frame). Position the coarse filter with the charcoal filter facing the Velcro flaps of the HEPA filter and click it into place. Check that the text ”FRONT” on the plastic rim of the coarse filter is facing outwards to show that the filter has been correctly mounted. Next, fasten the front of the appliance again by inserting the plastic spikes at the bottom of the front in the corresponding grooves of the appliance. Close the front and press until it is correctly positioned. -
Next, press the reset button ”FILTER RESET” on the control panel for 2 seconds till it goes out. Please note that the AIR QUALITY indicator is not on, if the HEPA and/or ODOR indicators have been activated.

Clean the coarse filter in accordance with the instructions given in ”Cleaning and maintenance”.
The lifetime of the filter is based on 8 hours’ use a day at maximum speed.
The recommended replacement intervals may vary depending on where and how the
appliance is used.
If any of the filters need to be replaced before the indicator lamp for
changing of filter goes on, you can manually reset the calculation of cycle of
the appliance by pressing the reset button (FILTER RESET) for 2 seconds. Now
press the reset button again to choose the filter (HEPA or ODOR). Press and
keep pressed the reset button again for 2 seconds and the time reminder is
deleted. Note that you should repeat this procedure within 10 seconds after
the activation of the reset button.
Cleaning and maintenance

Always unplug before cleaning and maintenance.

Never immerse the appliance or the cord in water or any other liquids.

Do not use scouring or etching detergents for cleaning.

The air quality sensor should be cleaned every two months (in case of regular use) by opening the small hatch at the right hand side of the appliance. Wipe the room with a damp cloth and wipe dry with a dry cloth and close the hatch. The air inlet and the air outlet positioned above or underneath the hatch, respectively, should be cleaned with a soft brush or with a vacuum cleaner.

The air outlet (on top of the appliance) should be cleaned with a soft brush every two months by regular use. Be careful not to brush dust into the appliance. If the appliance is covered in dust, let the appliance run for 10 minutes in order to blow the dust out of the fan. The appliance will now be ready for normal use.

Clean the inner side of the front of the appliance by pulling it out. Wipe any possible dust with a soft and dry cloth.

The coarse filter of the appliance should be cleaned every two to four weeks depending on the frequency of use of the appliance. Remove
the front by pulling it outwards. Press the plastic clip on the frame of the coarse filter and carefully pull the filter outwards. Remove the charcoal filter from the inner side of the frame before cleaning the coarse filter. Clean the coarse filter with a vacuum cleaner or rinse it in water. Let the filter dry completely before you put it back into the appliance if it has been rinsed in water. -
Wipe the housing with a damp cloth.

Keep the appliance at a dry place. If you are not going to use the appliance for a long period of time, clean the appliance according to the instructions above and make sure that all parts are dry before you put away the appliance.

Disposal of the appliance
Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment shall be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.
Warranty
Warranty according to current law. Any claim shall be accompanied by the cash
receipt with purchase date. When raising a claim the appliance must be
returned to the store of purchase.
