SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning for the Smart Vaccum Robot
  1. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 or below or person with reduced physical, sensory, mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge as long as they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance shall not be carried out by children without supervision.

  2. Plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning and maintenance. Switch off before cleaning or maintenance.

  3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or related professional with designated cord and parts in order to avoid hazards.

  4. WARNING: Use only the detachable docking station M7-DS that provided by this smart vacuum robot for battery recharge.

  5. This appliance contains batteries that are only replaceable by professional technicians.

  6. Do not bring the smart vaccum robot close to heatsource, radiation source or burning cigarette. It is strictly forbidden to vacuum the following objects:
    1)All liquid such as water and solvent;
    2)Lime, cement dust or other construction dust and garbage;
    3)Heat generating objects such as unextinguished carbon butts, cigarette butts;
    4)Sharp fragments such as glass;
    5)Flammable and explosive items such as gasoline and alcohol products.

  7. Before using this appliance, please remove all fragile items from the ground (such as glasses, lamps, etc.) and items that may be tangled with the side brush, roller brush and drive wheels(such as wires, curtains and other easily-entangled materials).

  8. Please pay attention to your hair and avoid entanglement on wheels or roller brushes when using, cleaning and maintaining.

  9. Do not use this product at an altitude of more than 2000m.

  10. Correct Disposal of this product. This product should not be disposed with other household waste. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, be responsible and recycle it to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.

Warning for battery

1. Do not dismantle, open or shred secondary cells or batteries. Do not expose cells or batteries to heat or fire. Avoid storage at location under direct sunlight.
2. Do not short-circuit a cell or a battery. Do not store cells or batteries haphazardly in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be short-circuited by other metal objects.
3. Do not remove a cell or battery from its original packaging until using.
4. Do not subject cells or batteries to mechanical shock.
5. If there is cell leaking, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek for medical advice.
6. Do not use any charger other than that specifically provide for the use of this smart vacuum robot.
7. Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) mark on the cell, battery and device in order to ensure correct installation.
8. Do not use any cell or battery which is not designed for the use of this device.
9. Do not mix cells of different manufacturer, capacity, size or type within a device.
10. Keep cells and batteries out from the reach of children.
11. Seek for medical advice immediately if a cell or a battery has been swallowed.

12. Keep cells and batteries clean and dry.
13. Wipe the cell or battery terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty.
14. Secondary cells and batteries need to be charged before use. Always refer to the instruction manual and use only the charger that specify by the manufacturer.
15. Do not leave the battery for prolonged charging when it is not in use.
16. After a long periods of storage, it is necessary to recharge and discharge the cells or batteries several times to maximize it performance.
17. Secondary cells and batteries give their best performance when they are operated at normal room temperature (20 °C ± 5 °C).
18. Remove the battery from the equipment when it is not in use.
19. Dispose the cells and batteries properly.

PRODUCT OPERATION
Buttons Function
  1. Start/Pause/ Shut Down

Start/Pause/Shut Down
Start: Press and hold for 3s to hear a startup voice then the machine turns on.
Pause: Press one time and the machine will stop. Press again, the machine will start working again.
Shut Down: Please remove the smart vacuum robot from the charging base. Press and hold for 3s to hear a shutdown voice, then the vacuum robot will shut down.

Wi-Fi network Wi-Fi
Press for 3s to match the Wi-Fi network. When the light is flashing, it means that matching is in progress.

Recharge
Short press for recharging.

Reset
Press “Reset” to restart the robot when it is out of work.

Side Brushes Installation
  1. Turn the unit over
  2. With unit upside down, align side brush over brush holder. Please keep the color of the side brushes the same as each brush racks.
  3. Press the side brush until it snaps in place.
  4. Ensure side brushes can rotate freely.

Smart Vacuum Robot Charging

1 Put the docking station in place. Place it against the wall and remove all the obstacles in the surrounding as shown in below figure. Please do not place the docking station on the carpet and ensure that the surrounding is clean and dry. Please be reminded to remove the mopping holder when charging is in progress.Midea M7 - Smart vaccum charging 1

2 Turn the power switch on.

  1. Start/ Pause

3 Place the vacuum robot on the docking station and ensure that they are properly connected. A white light will start flashing to indicate that the vacuum robot is charging.

To effectively extend the battery life span, you should:

  1. Charge for 12 hours before first time usage
  2. Recharge the device as soon as possible when the battery power is low.
  3. If you do not use the device for a long period of time, fully charge the battery and store it at a ventilated and dry place.
  4. Charge the robot every 3 months if it is not used for a long time to protect battery;
  5. This machine has automatic recharge function. In some special cases (such as battery is dead, the machine is stuck, etc.), the main unit may not be able to automatically recharge.
Cleaning

Please clean up the wires and sundries scattered on the ground and remove valuable, frogile items that are easy to fall before cleaning.
If there is suspended condition in the cleaning are, please fix or block it to avoid potential injuries.

To ensure a more efficient cleaning in the future, it is recommended to follow the vacuum robot to identify if there is any potential problems during the first cleaning. If there is any area that do not need to be cleaned or the robot may get trapped, you can add a restricted area or virtual wall on the map of the APP to prevent if from entering the restricted district.

1 Do not use your robot on wet surfaces or surfaces with stagnant water. Before using the product on a rug with tasseled edges, please fold the rug edges under.

Mopping

1 Attach mopping cloth to the mopping holder.

2 Press the button on the water tank and pull to remove.

5 Insert the water tank back to the vacuum robot.

6 Press ” ” to start mopping.

a. Please do not fill the water more than the “Max” level.
b. It is recommended to use clean water in the water tank. Do not use any detergent in the water
c. Please clean the mopping cloth after cleanning.
d. You will hear a click sound when the water tank is installed properly.
e. Remove the mop cloth holder when the robot is charging.
f. Please set the Vrtual wall by APP or roll up the carpet if you do not wish the robot to mop over the carpet.
g. Please adjust water flow by APP according to your requirement.

Using APP

If your home WiFi name or password is changed, you will need to re-establish connection with your vacuum robot

  • APP supports mobile OS of iOS 9.0 or above, Android 6.0 and above while tablet device is not accepted. In general, you could check you mobile OS by clicking “Setting – About” in the mobile.
  • This model does not support WEP encrypted router;
  • The network accessing configuration of the vacuum robot requires WiFi network of 2.4GHz frequency range, SGHz frequency range is not compatible;
  • Do not configure network accessing under the charging state;
  • Wi-Fi is mandatory for the vacuum robot’s network accessing configuration. Once the network is successfully connected, APP may operate in Wi-Fi/2G/3G/4G network and the robot could be remotely controlled.
  • If your home Wi-Fi password is changed, the vacuum robot will be displayed as offline on App. Without any changes of APP account number, you just need to configure network accessing for the vacuum robot once again.
  • If others want to use App to operate same vacuum robot, they need be invited on App by the device owner by sharing the device to the new user’s account (on the condition that the invitee has downloaded App and registered an account);
  • The device will be removed from the former device owners device list if a new account owner connect the device successfully;
  • Once the cleaner is configured successfully network accessing, the following operations will result in clearance of WiFi settings and secondary network accessing configuration is required; Long press the network accessing configuration key on the device over 3 seconds and after a tick sound is heard, all Wi-Fi information will be cleared;

1 Ensure mobile phone is connected to your home WiFi.
2 Download the MSmartHome app and register your vacuum.
a. Scan the QR code or search for the MSmartHome app in the Apple or Google Play store. Download the app
b. Open the app and create your personal account. Follow instructions on the screen.

3 Add your vacuum robot to your app
Press the ” + ” button on the main screen of the app and select M7 from the available list of products.

4 Connect your robot to your WiFi
After assembling and switching on the robot, press and hold “WiFi” button for 3s until a beep sound is heard. The WiFi indicator will start flashing. Follow the instructions for the next step.

Once the network access is configured successfully, you will be the owner of this vacuum robot and can operate the smart vacuum robot by using the APP operation interface.

MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the Side Brush

1 Check the side brush regularly to see if there is any hair entanglement.
2 Clean the side brush with the cleaning tool or a rag.
3 If the side brush has deformed due to hair entanglement, remove the side brush and place it in warm water for 5s.
4 If the side brush is permanently damaged, replace with the spare set of brushes.

Cleaning the Dustbin, Sponge and Filter

Empty the dustbin every time after use

1 Press dust cup release button to remove dust cup from robot.

3 HEPA filter is on the side of the dust cup. After cleaning the HEPA and sponges, keep them completely dry before reinstalling back to the vacuum robot.

4 Insert the dust cup back to the vacuum robot.

Cleaning the Water Tank

1 Once finished mopping, press the water tank release button and pull to remove the water tank. Detach the mop holder by pulling them apart.

2 Wash the mopping cloth and dry THOROUGHLY

3 Open the cover and pour out the remaining water in the water tank.

4 Wipe to dry the water tank. Exposure to sunlight is not recommended.

Cleaning the Sensor and Wheel

Wipe the sensor and wheels gently with a soft cloth, as shown in the right figure.

Cleaning the Charge Terminal

Wipe the charging terminals on both the robot and docking station with a soft cloth, as shown in the right figure.

Cleaning the Brushroll

1 Pull the middle part of the brush roll to separate it.

2 Brush roll can be separated by pulling its middle part. Clean the threads or hair that wrapped around the brush roll by scissors roll by scissors or the brush cleaner.

  1. Remove hair from the brush

If the side brushes are curled, you could remove it from the robot and place in warm water for 30s, then let it dry thoroughly. You should also remove the dust, debris and hair from the side brush regularly by using the brush cleaner. Brush roll could also be removed and cleaned. However, when installing it back to the robot, please make sure that the side with rubber flap should be placed on the closest side to the dustbin. Every time when you empty the dust cap, please clean the filter as well.

No cleaning according to the preset time | ► The power switch is not on.

► The network bandwidth is not so adequate. | ► Re-start the router and reduce the number of access users;
► Check the settings of the mobile phone itself;

The QR code of the mobile phone itself cannot be scanned by App. | The hardware configurations of the mobile phone are very low, the camera has no focus function. | ► Change mobile phones for confirmation; | ► Change mobile phones and scan;

Scan the QR code and download the APP.
Follow the instructions on the interface to register and login APP.

a. Connect to your home Wi-Fi in APP;
b. Make sure robot is in the matching process, APP will automatically find the robot (by Bluetooth), click to proceed;
c. Follow the instruction to match your robot.

If the environment or Wi-Fi were changed, long press Wi-Fi button to restart the matching process.

For using Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, please make sure MSmartHome APP has been downloaded and matched with your robot successfully.

Step2. Get your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device ready.
Step3. By searching skill name above to link voice device and your robot. (MSmartHome account need to be registered in the process)
Step4. Voice-control your robot by using voice commands in the description.
