sensear SP1R In Ear Solution Powered From Radio
Product Information
SP1R Hearing Protection Communication Headset
The SP1R is a state-of-the-art hearing protection communication headset that uses patented processing technology to provide situational awareness while being in full contact with all your communication devices. It also has an intrinsically safe variant that meets international standards for use in explosive gas environments. The headset draws power from the two-way radio and must be connected by the appropriate SRCK7xxx radio cable to utilize both the situational awareness and two-way radio communications. The SRCK7xxx part numbers vary depending on the radio connector and are sold separately.
Product Earplug Fitting Instructions
- Place disposable foam tip between thumb and forefinger.
- Roll foam tip to a compressed, crease-free cylinder.
- Push the foam tip all the way onto the earbud spout.
- Roll the foam tip again between the thumb and forefinger.
- Ensure the foam tip remains a compressed, crease-free cylinder on the earbud.
- Using your opposite hand, pull your ear upward and outward. Insert the earbud deeply into the ear.
- Hold the earbud in place for 30 seconds while the foam tip expands.
- Check to ensure the earbuds are correctly inserted. A poor fit will be visible by the earbuds being far away from the ear. No part of the foam tip should be visible. Repeat the process until a good fit is achieved.
Power On/Off Instructions
- To power on, connect the SRCK7xxx radio cable to the Hirose connector on the bottom of the main unit. Connect the SRCK7xxx cable to the two-way radio. Turn the two-way radio on, and the headset will power up.
- To power off, turn the two-way radio off. Disconnect the headset cable from the SRCK7xxx cable (audio reverts to the two-way radio automatically).
Communicating Instructions
- Two-Way Radio VOX: VOX can be used on VOX-enabled two-way radios when using the SP1R Boom Mic headset option. Refer to the two-way radio documentation for the setup and use of the VOX feature. To enable VOX on the SP1R, press the SP1R’s PTT before putting the two-way radio into VOX mode. To disable VOX, you can either turn VOX off on two-way radio or press the SP1R’s PTT once, depending on which two-way radio model you use.
Product Environmental Modes
Your SP1R features situational awareness technology (Speech Enhancement, Noise Suppression) that allows you to be in audible contact with your surroundings while wearing your headset. The mode can be turned on and off by turning the volume knob to the on/off position with a click, which will toggle the unit into Quiet mode or Environmental mode, while also controlling the volume level.
