INSTALLATION
The installation of the QuietCool Solar Utility Fan is very easy to do.
Simply cut a 3.25” hole into the roof or wall in which you want to install the fan. We recommend using a hole saw to perform this cut very easily.
Unscrew the holding plate from the back of the fan unit and insert the fan into the hole. Screw the holding plate onto the fan and secure tightly.
The fan unit will run automatically when there is sunlight present.
WEATHERPROOFING
We recommend adding a soft rubber o-ring type material between the roof or wall and the unit to ensure no water can seep through the hole. As an alternative, you can also use any type of roofing grade weatherproof sealant to seal around the fan unit.
OPERATION
The QuietCool Solar Utility Fan will operate continuously when sunlight is between 10,000 and 40,000+ lux. Below 10,000 lux, the fan will operate intermittently.
