Instructions

CAUTION: Keep out of reach of children. Keep clear of Vaporiser during operation as steam vent is hot and steam can scald. Ensure vaporiser is unplugged during set up.

  1. Remove unit Remove unit by gently twisting anti-clockwise. This will unlock the unit and allow you to easily lift it out of the water container.

  2. Add Inhalant First shake Euky Bear Inhalant bottle, then add 2 capfuls into empty water container before filling with tap water to ensure it is well mixed. Only use Euky Bear Inhalant which is water soluble. Use of other Inhalants may damage the unit and void the warranty.

  3. Add water Add water to container up to the maximum fill line as indicated on the sides of the water container. Do not overfill. Rinse and refill with fresh water each time you use your Vaporiser.

  4. Re-insert unit Re-insert unit, gently twisting clockwise to lock into place.

  5. Place in a stable position Position your Vaporiser on the floor at least 1.2 meters away from any person. The room will humidify uniformly. Ensure the room is well-ventilated so air is free to circulate to prevent excess humidity (e.g. keep door slightly ajar). Make sure the cord is unravelled, lies flat and out of the way. For extra floor or carpet protection, place your Vaporiser on a rubber mat or other heat resistant, non-metallic barrier.
Do not place Vaporiser on a table, chair or other piece of furniture where it could fall.

  6. Plug into power point
Plug into power point and switch on power. Your Vaporiser will produce steam within 3-4 minutes. Ensure you have sufficient water for each use. Never move unit while it is on.

  7. IMPORTANT: Switch off after use
After use, or when steaming has stopped, always switch off and unplug your Vaporiser at the power point and allow to cool. Failure to switch off your Vaporiser when it is no longer steaming may damage the unit and void the warranty. Indicator light: The indicator light ensures your Vaporiser is visible at all times and will remain on as long as there is power. This acts as a reminder for you to switch off the power after use.

  8. Clean Vaporiser
Cleaning your Vaporiser is very important. Before cleaning, always switch off and disconnect plug at power point, wait for unit to cool and empty any unused water. After each use: Rinse water container and base of the heating unit. Do not submerge heating unit or power cord in water. Dry with a clean cloth.
Maintenance cleaning (approximately per 10 uses): Rinse as per directions above. Sit the base of the heating unit in a pot or jug of white vinegar (up to the rim but not covering the power cord – do not submerge unit) for 20 minutes. Clean the opening of the steam vent gently with a cotton bud dipped in white vinegar. Afterwards, wash base in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth. Hard water areas may need more frequent cleaning.

Trouble Shooting

  1. Particles in water after use
Cause: These can be mineral deposits from yourtap water. They can look like dirt, sand or flakes and are harmless. The level of particles present
depends on where you live, as hard water areas may contain more. It is an indication that the unit requires cleaning.
Solution: Particles can be flushed away when emptying container. Continue Maintenance Cleaning as needed. For ongoing use, consider using distilled water instead of tap water to eliminate the issue.

  2. Vaporiser spurts water out of steam vent Causes:
    • Inhalant added after water.
    • Incorrect Inhalant used or too much Inhalant.
    • Water level too high or too low.
    • Vaporiser needs cleaning.
Solution: Shake Inhalant bottle well before use.
Always add Inhalant before water and ensure it is well mixed. Only use Euky Bear Inhalants (water soluble). Use no more than 2 capfuls (10mL) of Inhalant. Ensure water level is filled to the maximumfill line. Do not overfill. Clean Vaporiser as per instructions.

  3. Vaporiser trips safety switch or blows a fuse Causes: In some households, safety switches are sensitive when an additional load is placed on the circuit or if the heating core within the unit is too cold. Solution: Turn off the Vaporiser at the power point.Fill the water container with warm water. Move to a power point not connected to other appliances. Leave for 2 minutes. Switch on. If this does not resolve the issue, the safety fuse in the Vaporiser may have been activated. Contact FGB Customer Service.

  4. Vaporiser produces too much steam or condensation Cause: The Vaporiser should not be operated in a closed, poorly ventilated room. Solution: Open the door and/or window and ensure that the room has proper ventilation.
