INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing our chocolate fountain, you can use the chocolate fountain for many types of events, such as birthdays, office and family parties, weddings or other types of parties. Or simply place the device in the middle of a buffet.

The chocolate:

  1. The most suitable type of chocolate is one with a high pro-portion of cocoa butter that is specifically made for chocolate fondues. The proportion of cocoa should be at least 60%.
  2. If the amount of cocoa is below 60% it may be necessary to add a little vegetable oil. Otherwise the chocolate is too viscous and does not pass from closed loops on the cascades.
  3. We recommend the following types of chocolate, milk or bitter chocolate, milk or bitter chocolate coating, white chocolate or white chocolate coating.
  4. You can also use peppermint, strawberry or mocha chocolate.
  5. According to taste you can also add small amounts of amoretto, coffee liqueur, coffee powder coconut milk or similar items.
  6. The following are unsuitable: chocolate containing whole nuts, almonds or chips, these types of chocolate could obstruct the spiral.
  7. Do not add any solid or large pieces of chocolate when the motor is running, never add cold or cooled liquids as this would cause the chocolate to cool down too quickly and might obstruct the spiral.
  8. In order to create a fountain you need at least 300g of chocolate or 550g of chocolate coating, the quantity also depends on the type of  chocolate you are using.

Dipping:

  1. You can use the following items for dipping .e.g: foam sugar, grapes, apples, strawberries, bananas, balls of ice cream, pastry , nuts , the choice is only limited by your imagination.
  2. Do not hold the “dipped” food over the collecting pan for too long as it may fall in and obstruct the spiral.

INSTALLATION AND USE

Before assembly: Ensure that the mains plug is disconnected and that the switch is turned to the OFF position.

  1. Place the motor housing on a smooth, flat and stable working surface.
  2. This working surface should be easy to clean, as there will be some splashes.
  3. Place the spiral on the drive on the collection pan.
  4. Place the cascades over the spiral, The three bolts on the collection pan are located in the holes of the cascade.
  5. The assembled fountain must be in a horizontal position: place the device in this position if it is not already.

Preparation:
Wash and clean the fruit, cut the fruit up into mouth-sized pieces.

Melting the chocolate:

  1. As the heating element in the device needs a long time to melt the chocolate, we recommend liquefying the chocolate or chocolate coating beforehand, take approximately 300g of chocolate or 550g chocolate coating.
It may be necessary to adapt this quantity depending on the type of chocolate.

  2. Melt the chocolate in an appropriate vessel on the cooker ( in a water bath if necessary ) or in the microwave oven. Do not allow the chocolate to become too hot, as otherwise it will turn grey when it cools down.

  3. You can also melt the chocolate in the collection pan once you have connected the device to the electric power supply.

  4. Turn the rotary switch to HEAT and add the chocolate in small pieces, the collecting pan has a volume of approximately 1kg.

Caution:
The motor should only be switched on after the chocolate has completely melted.

OPERATION

  1. Fill the collection pan with melted chocolate or melt the chocolate as described above.
  2. Turn the function switch to HEAT in order to melt the chocolate or to keep it liquid.
  3. If the chocolate is liquid, turn the switch to HEAT MOTOR. The spiral transports the chocolate to the top before it flow back down over the cascades into the collecting pan.
  4. After approximately 2 minutes the device should be switched off for about 1 minute in order to allow any air in the tower to escape. Then switch the device on again.

Note:
If after a few minutes there is no closed chocolate loop, more chocolate or vegetable oil has to be added.

  1. Skewer the pieces of fruit on a fork or wooden stick or place the nuts and ice cream on a spoon. Then hold them in the chocolate.
  2. Fill up with more liquid chocolate if necessary.

Turning the Device off:

  1. Turn the switch to the “OFF” position and remove the mains plug.
  2. Pour any remaining liquid chocolate into another vessel.

  2. Never immerse the motor housing with the collecting pan into water.
