Product Function
If you have a car that makes use of a Wired USB Apple CarPlay entertainment system, there is a solution: wireless CarPlay dongles.

How to Connect Carplay via Dongle to iPhone?
- Plug the dongle into the Car’s USB port (USB-A or USB-C); the dongle’s light will turn on.
- Unlock your iPhone and turn on the iPhone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, search for the Bluetooth named smartDongle-**** to connect and pair. (Please note: Dongle uses both Bluetooth and Wifi, but it doesn’t need a wifi password; you just have to enable it for use.)
- After bluetooth paired successfully, a consent pop-up will be shown to enable or disable Apple CarPlay on your car’s screen. If Apple CarPlay does not automatically launch, touch the Apple CarPlay icon on your infotainment screen.
- Click Use Carplay then you will get rid of the wire and go wireless.
Warm Tips:
- The dongle is not suitable for simultaneous multi-device connection.
- When connecting or using, please keep even have already tried disconnect and only the mobile phone which is connecting reconnect it, or is not compatible with the vehicle, you can choose to update. avoid interference due to the presence of multiple Bluetooth signals.
- There’s an increased latency or lag when using a CarPlay dongle. This is because the dongle is having to act as a middleman between the iPhone and the CarPlay system.

Update
When there is a situation that it is connected but cannot cast the screen, even have already tried disconnect and reconnect it, or is not compatible with the vehicle, you can choose to update.
- Step 1: Connect the carplay adapter to power. (P.S. : When upgrading, please make the carplay connect to a power bank or power strip, don’t connect to the USB port in the car.)
- step 2: Open your iPhone and connect to the Carplay WIFI named “smartDongle-****” The password is “88888888”
- step 3: Open the “Safari” browser in your / iPhone, enter and open the URL ‘ ‘192.168.1 .101″
- Step 4: Click to update directly. (P.S.: During the update, the signal light of carplay will flash, and it will return to normal after update successfully.)

A: Many vehicles have multiple USB ports, but only one works for Apple Car Play. If you have multiple USB ports, just experiment with them until you find which one starts the apple carplay. -
Q: What should I do when carplay shows a black screen or disconnects frequently?
A: Open your phone settings and make sure the phone is actually connected. If not, connect it. It also helps to unplug and re-plug the dongle in to reset it. -
