Instruction Sheet
The system must be installed in accordance with all applicable state and local laws and regulations.
The filter cartridge must be replaced every 3-6 months, or at the rated capacity, or if a noticeable reduction in flow rate occurs.
This system is designed to treat cold water only. The installation must be on
a cold water supply.
Do not use to treat water that is microbially unsafe or of unknown quality
without adequate disinfection before and after the system.
The system must be installed in accordance with all applicable state and local
laws and regulations.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Shut off power to equipment if necessary.
- Turn off the water supply to the system.
- Remove the cartridges from the system following the instructions.
- Place and install the filter system using the two #10 x 1 in. stainless screws provided for wall mounting. Allow at least 3 inches of space below the cartridge for easy removal and replacement.
- Install inlet ball valve (as shown). 5a. If installing an outlet pressure gauge, attach the outlet gauge to the outlet side of the system.
- Connect inlet and outlet ports using appropriate NSF-approved components. Do not connect the outlet port to the equipment until after flushing (Step 9).
- Lubricate 0-Rings on cartridges with a food-grade silicone lubricant prior to installation.
- Line up locking features as shown and push cartridge up into head until it stops. Use free hand to support at top of bracket. Turn cartridge 1 /4 turn to the right until it stops to lock in place.
- Connect a piece of tubing to the outlet port and run it to a drain or bucket.
- Turn on the water in the system. Allow water to run to drain for 5 minutes to purge air and rinse out carbon fines
- Turn off water. Connect system to equipment.
- Turn on the water. Check for leaks and repair as needed.
- Restore power to equipment. The system is ready for operation.
