TROX Type AFG Floor Grilles Within Raised Access Floors Datasheet
Floor Grilles for Installation into Raised Access Floors
The Type AFG floor grilles are heavy and extra heavy-duty floor grilles made of aluminum with fixed horizontal blades. These single ventilation grilles are suitable for raised access floor systems with a nominal size of 600 x 600 and a volume flow rate range of 0 – 530 l/s or 0 – 1908 m3/h. The grille face is made of aluminum with a powder-coat finish and a front border of 6mm with 6mm wide blades. The grilles are suitable for floor tile depths between 25mm and 50mm.
Optional Equipment and Accessories
Attachments for volume flow rate balancing are available.
Product Usage Instructions
The AFG floor grilles can replace 600mm square floor tiles with depths from
25mm up to a maximum of 50mm. The F series floor grilles can be used in
commercial or industrial settings to provide mixed-flow ventilation for
comfort and overall room ventilation.
When using the floor grilles, please check the floor system and confirm the
stringer width to ensure proper installation. Attachments for volume flow rate
balancing are available as optional equipment.

Functional description
Type AFG Heavy / Extra Heavy duty floor grilles are air terminal devices for
the supply air of ventilation and air conditioning systems.
They direct the supply air into the room from low-level floor void supply
systems. The result is mixed flow ventilation in comfort zones and industrial
zones, with good overall room ventilation.
Designed for use within commercial or industrial applications where prolonged foot traffic or rolling loads may be expected such as offices, atrium areas or data centres. TROX AFG series floor grilles can replace 600mm square floor tiles with depths from 25mm up to a maximum of 50mm and exceeds the requirements of BS-EN 13264:2001 heavy & extra heavy structural classification.

Technical data
Volume flow rates apply to a nominal grille size of 600mm x 600mm, max. the
sound power level of their-regenerated noise of 50 dB(A) with an open damper
unit (unrestricted airflow) and maximum 30Pa pressure drop.
Thow length [Is] provided to a maximum time average air velocity [V J of
0.5m/s with supply air temperature differential of -10°K.
