Cleaning Your Kiosk Enclosure
Enclosure, Painted Surfaces, and Graphics
Should the kiosk enclosure require general cleaning, it can be wiped down with a non-abrasive cloth moistened with a mild cleaning product or soap and water.
- Do not clean the enclosure with solvent-based products, as they may damage the finishes or graphics
- Do not wipe the enclosure with paper towels, as the wood fibers can cause a scuffed appearance
Touch Screen and Displays
Care should be taken when cleaning touch displays to eliminate the possibility
of scratching the display surface. It is recommended that a microfiber cloth
and a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol, 30% water be used to clean the
display.
- Do not clean the enclosure with solvent-based products, as they may damage the touch interface
- Do not wipe the screen with paper towels, as the wood fibers can cause a scuffed display and degrade touch interface performance
Internal Components
The internal components should only be dusted using a can off compressed air
or by vacuuming the kiosk interior. Care should be taken not to disturb the
internal cabling/wiring. Attention should be given to PC grill openings and
exhaust ports when clearing dust or build-up.
- Do not clean any of the internal components or electronics with solvents or solvent-based products
- Do not power vacuum cleaners or any other devices via the kiosk’s internal power strip
