- Clean all the detachable components according to section “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” and assemble them completely.
- Ensure the steel mesh and funnel place are in position. Place the carafe on the removable pad.

HOW TO MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE
-
Remove the tank cover by turning it in anti-clockwise. Pour water in the water tank with the carafe. Do not exceed the maximum capacity.
Note: The carafe has cup marks. The maximum tank capacity is 4 cups of water. The minimum tank capacity is 2 cups of water. -
Before pouring the water into the water tank, be sure the power cord is unplugged from the power outlet and the steam knob is in the OFF position.
-
Replace the tank cover in place by turning the cover in clockwise until it locks in position.
-
Put the steel mesh into the metal funnel, add coffee powder to the steel mesh with the measuring spoon. A spoon of coffee powder can make about a cup of top-grade coffee. Then press the coffee powder tightly with the tamper at the back of the measuring spoon.
Note : Select the desired quantity of coffee powder to make the desired number of cups of coffee. The steel mesh has 2 cups and 4 cups marks. -
Make sure the stripes on the funnel align with the grooves in the appliance, then insert the funnel beginning at the “Insert” position, and fix the funnel into the coffee maker turning it anti-clockwise until it is locked in the “Lock” position (see Fig. 1 ).
-
Place the empty carafe with its cover on the removable shelf.
-
Plug the power cord into the outlet. Turn the steam knob to position, and the indicator is illuminated. Wait for about 2 minutes and coffee will begin coming out.
-
After the desired amount of coffee has been obtained, turn the steam knob to the OFF position,
the indicator will go out and the coffee maker will stop working. Your coffee is ready now. WARNING: Do not leave the coffee maker unattended during this process, as you may need to operate it manually sometimes! -
Before removing the steel mesh or opening the tank cover, make sure the pressure in the tank is released. For this, turn the steam knob to the OFF position and the steam in the tank will be released from the frothing device. After pressure has been released, wait for the steel mesh to cool down, and then you can remove the steel mesh or open the tank cover.
-
After finishing preparing the coffee, you can take the metal funnel out turning it counterclockwise and pour the coffee residue out with the steel mesh pressed by the press bar. Let them cool down completely and then rinse them under running water. (When assembling the steel mesh again, you must turn over the press bar to the original position)
FROTHING MILK TO MAKE CAPPUCCINO
You get a cup of cappuccino when you top up a cup of espresso with frothing
milk.
Method:
-
Prepare espresso according to part “B. HOW TO MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE” and pour it into a cup big enough to hold the coffee and frothed milk.
-
Fill a jar with the desired amount of milk for each cappuccino to be prepared. Whole milk at refrigerator temperature (not hot!) is recommended.
Note: When choosing the size of the jar to use for milk frothing, it is recommended that its diameter is not less than 70±5mm. Also, bear in mind that the milk increases in volume, so make sure the height of the jar is enough to hold the milk once frothed. -
Turn the steam knob to the position, and the indicator will light up.
-
Insert the frothing device into the milk about two centimeters. After about 2 minutes, steam will come out from the frothing device. Froth milk moving the vessel around and up and down until the desired level of foam is made. Frothing milk is a learned skill. You may need to practice your technique to achieve the required foam consistency.
-
When the required amount of foam is reached, turn the steam control knob to the OFF position to stop frothing. Release the resto of the steam in the tank.
Note: Clean the steam outlet with a wet sponge immediately after steam stops generating. Be careful not to get burned with the steam! -
Pour the frothed milk into the espresso prepared and the cappuccino is ready. Sweeten to taste and if desired, sprinkle the froth with a little cocoa powder.
Note: We recommend that you allow the appliance to cool down a little before making coffee again. Otherwise, a burnt odor may result in your espresso coffee.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
-
Cut off the power source and let the coffee maker cool down completely before cleaning.
-
Clean the housing of coffee maker often with a soft wet sponge.
Note: Do not clean with alcohols or solvent cleansers. Never immerse the housing in water for cleaning. -
Detach the metal funnel turning it clockwise, get rid of all ground coffee residue inside, and then clean it with soapy water and with clear water.
-
Clean all the detachable attachments in water and dry thoroughly before storing.
CLEANING MINERAL DEPOSITS

- Fill the tank with water and descaler to the MAX level (the ratio of water to descaler is usually 4: 1, but always refer to the descaler instructions). Please use “household descaler” or you can use citric acid (obtainable from drug stores) instead of descaler (one hundred parts of water to three parts of citric acid).
- According to the instructions to make espresso coffee, put the metal funnel (with no coffee powder in it) and jar in place. Brew water as instructed in “B. HOW TO MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE”.
- Turn the steam knob to the 0 position (the indicator will be illuminated) and make two cups of coffee (about 20 Oz). Then turn the steam knob to the OFF position and wait for 5 seconds.

- Restart the unit and repeat steps 4-5 at least 3 times .
- Turn the steam knob to the position to brew until no descaler is left.
- Then, brew coffee (with no coffee powder) with tap water up to the MAX level, repeat steps 4-5 at least 3 times (it is not necessary to wait for 15 minutes on step 5), then brewing until no water is left in the tank.
