SAFETY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
- Before installing, servicing, or performing routine maintenance upon this equipment, follow these general precautions.
- TO reduce the risk Of death, personal injury, or property damage from fire, electric shock, falling parts, cuts/abrasions, and other hazards, read all wamings and instructions included with and on the fixture box and all fixture labels.
- Proper grounding is required to ensure safety.
- Power must be turned off at the breaker before installation or maintenance.
- Installation, service, and maintenance Of luminaires should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
- Wear gloves and eye protection at all times while installing, servicing, or preforming maintenance on the luminaire, and avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
- Do not install damaged product. Inspect luminaire for damage that may have occurred during transit. If damaged, contact the manufacturer immediately.
- These instructions do not purport to cover all details or variations in equipment nor to provide every possible contingency to meet in connection with installation, operation, or maintenance. Should further information be desired or should particular problems arise which are not covered sufficiently for the purchaser’s or owner’s purposes, contact the manufacturer.
CAUTION
- Equipment should be mounted where it will not be subject to tampering by unauthorized personnel.
- Do not mount near gas or electric heaters.
- The use of accessory equipment not recommended by the manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition
- Do not use this equipment for any other purpose than its intended use
- When re-lamping, use only LED lamps specified in the fixture. Using Other lamp types may result in transformer damage or unsafe conditions
- Use caution when servicing batteries. Battery acid can cause burns to skin and eyes. If acid is spilled on skin or eyes, flush acid with fresh water and contact a physician immediately
NOTICE
- The battery in this unit may not be fully charged. After electricity is connected to the unit, let the battery charge up for at least 24 hours for normal operation of this unit to take effect.
- Do not use outdoors.
Installation Instructions
Surface Ceiling and Wall Mount
- Attach the crossbar to the junction box, using screws if needed (screws not provided)
- Use a screwdriver to open the front cover to connect the battery connector.
- Feed the AC supply wires through the canopy center hole.
- Assemble the canopy onto the main body assembly with (2) PM4*15 screws (supplied) and make the proper wire connections.
- Use (2) PM4-40 screws (supplied) to tighten the canopy to the crossbar.
- Insert the EXIT panel into the main body assembly gently. If the EXIT panel is for a single face, make sure the EXIT letter direction is correct
- Determine the correct chevrons needed for the application
- The unit can be installed on any surface. The EXIT panel can rotate to any angle from 00 to 1800. Rotate the EXIT panel appropriately based on mounting selection
- Apply continuous AC power and press the TEST button to ensure the wiring is correct.
Surface End Mount
- Attach the crossbar to the junction box, using screws it needed (screws not provided)
- Use a screwdriver to open the front cover to connect the battery connector.
- Remove the hole plug from the mounting end cap.
- Pull Out all AC supply wires and feed the wires through the center holes Of the mounting end cap and then canopy.
- Assemble the canopy onto the main body assembly with (2) PM4*15 screws (supplied) and make the proper wire connections.
- Use (2) PM4-40 screws (supplied) to tighten the canopy to the crossbar.
- Insert the EXIT panel into the main body assembly gently. If the EXIT panel is for a single face, make sure the EXIT letter direction is correct

Assembly Drawing
Chevron Indicators
- If chevron indicators are needed,
- Fold and tape the bottom of the paper profile cover, placing it at the bottom corner of the edge lit panel.
- Remove the chevron cut-outs, and
- Adhere cut-outs to the edge lit panel in the appropriate locations.
- If chevron indicators are NOT needed,
- Simply remove and discard the paper profile cover with the chevron cut-outs .
