tp-link Tapo T300 Smart Water Leak Sensor
Product Information
The Smart Water Leak Sensor is a device designed to monitor water leaks and alert users in case of any leaks. The device has a control button, LED indicator, sensor probe, buzzer, and battery compartment. The sensor has an operating temperature range of 0 (32) – 40 (105) and operates on a frequency range of 863~865MHz/863.35MHz / 25mW (e.r.p) 863~865MHz / 864.35MHz / 25mW (e.r.p) 868~868.6MHz / 868.35MHz / 25mW (e.r.p).
Product Usage Instructions
- Power Up Your Sensor: Remove the battery insulation tab to power up your sensor. The LED should blink.
- Check Your Sensor: The sensor will alarm if you drip water on the sensor probe or place it on a wet surface.
- Set Up Your Sensor on the Tapo App: A Tapo Hub is required. Make sure your Tapo Hub’s firmware is updated to the latest version and successfully set up via the Tapo app. Open the Tap the app and tap the button. Select Sensors and then your model. Follow the app instructions to complete the setup.
- Test Your Sensor: After setup, single press the control button on your sensor and check if the hub sounds an alarm.
- Place Your Sensor: Lay the sensor flat to monitor water leaks.
- How to Replace Battery:
- Remove the two screws securing the batteries and remove the back cover.
- Replace with the new batteries (AAA/LR03).
It is important to note that the device should be kept away from fire or hot environments and should not be ingested. The device should not be disassembled, repaired, or modified. If service is needed, contact the manufacturer. The user should read and follow all safety information when operating the device. Power Up Your Sensor
Remove the battery insulation tab to power up your sensor. The LED should blink.

Set Up Your Sensor on the Tapo App
- A Tapo Hub is required. Make sure your Tapo Hub’s firmware is updated to the latest version and successfully set up via the Tapo app.
- Open the Tapo app and tap the + button. Select Sensors and then your model. Follow the app instructions to complete the setup.
Test Your Sensor
After setup, single press the control button on your sensor and check if the hub sounds an alarm.

How to Replace Battery
