Q1:Why dash cam can’t get the GPS signal (GPS indicator keeps red)?
A:
1. Check if the GPS icon goes green (it will take 3-5minutes to get GPS signal successfully)
2. Depending on the vehicle and the location of the GPS signal can be blocked due to strong radio interference of other electronic devices in the car, the cloudy/rainy weather or mountains, tunnels, tall buildings on both sides of road etc.
3.Please check if GPS works by taking the GPS Module from the car to outside. If it works then there must be a heavy interference in the car, for example thick car Explosion-proof membrane, metal item and etc.

Q2:GPS Information is not showing up on the recordings, how to fix it?
A:
1.Please refer to Q1 firstly.
2.If all of the above conditions are met and GPS doesn’t work, please send us some of the video recordings without the speed stamp, along with their GPS files (To get them, turn off the dashcam –> take out the SD card –> connect it to your computer using the micro SD card reader –> open the micro SD card drive)

  • You might not be able to send the recordings via email because of the large size of the recordings. We recommend uploading them and their GPS files on your online drive (Dropbox, Google Drive etc.) and sending us the link instead.

9. FAQ

Q1:Battery Information

This dash cam contains Lithium-ion inbuilt battery. With a full charge battery should last up to 1-3 minutes. Internal battery is not meant to last long time.
The higher the video resolution you choose the more power it will consume, hence it will last short duration.
The purpose of in-built is to save the last video file safely without any data loss and turn off the camera when power gets disconnected e.g. when you turn off your car. Another purpose is parking mode. When
your car vibrates by impact and vibration activates G-sensor setting range then camera will turn on and start recording on battery for 1- minute, lock video file and then auto turn off automatically.

Q2:Why the rear cam image is converse on the screen?

The complexity begins with the image that is captured by the camera. Rather than transmitting the picture that a typical camera might see, backup camera systems are actually designed to send a mirror image
to the monitor so the orientation is correct when you look at it. If you were looking at a direct feed of what the camera sees, the image would be reversed, and you’d steer left when you wanted to go right.
The system is designed to correct this so the view on the display makes sense.

Q3:Poor image quality of rear cam

The most likely cause is simply a dirty lens. Since many cameras are mounted low on the back of the car, they’re subject to being obscured by mud, snow, dirt or other debris. Luckily, the fix is easy: Clean the
lens with a soft cloth (to prevent scratching the lens). If still doesn’t work, please e-mail to [email protected] with order number.

Q4:Dash cam will be warm

Yep! A dash cam of this caliber is a pretty high-tech piece of equipment.
When you think about it from an engineering perspective, capturing high quality full HD video takes a large amount of computer processing power. Heat is the by-product of all that data processing that is going on.
But not to worry. The case of the Dash cam itself is actually used as a heat- sink (notice the nice vents you see along the top and bottom of these models), so that’s why you may notice it is warm or hot to the
touch. Don’t worry, this is normal, and your AZDOME is operating as designed.

Q5:Time is incorrect?

The Time Zone settings that influence the displayed time & date will be applied upon receiving a GPS connection.
Some examples of GMT time off sets are: GMT-7: Los Angeles – GMT-4: New York – GMT+10: Sydney
Please make sure to adjust time zone setting during standard vs. daylight savings time.
If you are unsure of your GMT off set please look up your city on
www.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/

Q6:My Video playback on PC is lagging.

You are viewing high-bit rate version of video files. General computer configuration may have problem with faster data processing. Please record videos at lower resolution and try again. Contact us if problem
still exists.
