Previous steps

• a. Place chocks against the front and rear trailer wheels to prevent it from moving.
• b. Empty the air circuit of the suspension system.
• c. Place a hydraulic jack in the axle.
• d. Unscrew the screws that fasten the axle to the suspension support.
• e. Disassemble the suspension shock absorbers.
• f. Lower the axle.

CAUTION: Place chocks against the wheels, otherwise the vehicle could move and cause fatal accidents or severe injuries.

Silentblock Disassembly Instructions

Kit Preparation

1. Assemble the tool before disassembling the silentblock.
2. Thread the bar through the silentblock until the sleeve is adjusted in the silentblock housing.
3. The centring nut must be placed on the other side until reaching the silentblock.
4. Turn the nut of the threaded bar with a wrench until the centring nut pushes the silentblock completely into the sleeve.
5. Reverse the turning direction with the wrench to disassemble the kit.
6. Remove the damaged silentblock and clean the sleeve.

The kit to disassemble the silentblock is formed by:

1. Threaded bar

4. Closing cover
5. Sleeve
6. Centring nut

Assemble the tool before disassembling the silentblock. For a correct assembly, follow this order:

1. Threaded bar
2. Washers
3. Bearing
4. Washers
5. Closing cover
6. Sleeve

IMPORTANT: During the tool assembly, take into account the sleeve position. The non-centring end must be placed next to the cover, so the centring end will be on the other side in order to centre the silentblock housing.

Silentblock Disassembly

1. Mark the centre point of the silentblock and move it to the centre of the housing.
2. With a white pencil, draw a line on the outside of the silentblock housing. This line will help orientate the new silentblock in the housing.
3. Lubricate the bearing, the washers, and the threaded bar with standard grease.

IMPORTANT: The silentblock must be replaced on both sides of the axle. To ensure that the new silentblock is in the same position as the old one, see the mark in the centre of the silentblock and move that point to the centre of the axle housing.

1. Mark the centre point of the silentblock and move it to the centre of the housing.

2. With a white pencil, draw a line on the outside of the silentblock housing. This line will help orientate the new silentblock in the housing.
   CAUTION: If the silentblocks are not correctly installed, the vehicle stability will decrease and it could cause fatal accidents or severe injuries.

3. Lubricate the bearing, the washers and the threaded bar with standard grease.

4. Thread the bar through the silentblock until the sleeve is adjusted in the silentblock housing. The centring nut must be placed on the other side until reaching the silentblock.

5. Turn the nut of the threaded bar with a wrench until the centring nut pushes the silentblock completely into the sleeve.

6. Reverse the turning direction with the wrench to disassemble the kit.

7. Remove the damaged silentblock and clean the sleeve.

Silentblock Assembly Instructions

Kit Preparation
The kit to assemble the silentblock is formed by:

1. Threaded bar
2. Washers
3. Bearing
4. Cover
5. Sleeve
6. Silentblock housing
7. Silentblock
8. Centring disc
9. Centring nut

Assemble the tool before installing a new silentblock. For a correct assembly, follow this order:

1. Threaded bar
2. Washers
3. Bearing
4. Washers
5.  Closing cover

Silentblock Assembly

1. Lubricate the bearing, the washers and the threaded bar with standard grease.

2. Apply lubricant P-80 uniformly, both in the housing and the outside of the silentblock.
   CAUTION: The use of the incorrect lubricant during the assembly can reduce the vehicle stability and cause fatal accidents or severe injuries. Do not lubricate with standard grease or oil.

3. Insert the new silentblock into the sleeve through the end opposite to the cover. Make sure the mark of the new silentblock is correctly aligned with the horizontal line of the sleeve.

4. Fully push the silentblock with the centring disc inside the sleeve.

5. Enter the threaded bar with the preassembled kit through the silentblock housing. Make sure the cover is correctly adjusted to the housing.

6. Place the sleeve with the centring end towards the silentblock housing.
   Note: The horizontal line of the sleeve must be aligned with the horizontal line drawn on the outside of the silentblock housing.

7. Turn the nut of the threader bar with a wrench to push the silentblock through the sleeve until the sleeve is totally free.
   IMPORTANT: Prevent the sleeve from falling to the floor, since it can cause injury.

8. Remove the sleeve and continue turning the threaded bar until the silentblock is completely inside its housing.

9. Disassemble the kit

10. Check that the silentblock is totally centred inside its housing and readjust it if necessary.

11. Check the correct position of the silentblock by making sure the word “TOP” is on the upper side and that the horizontal mark of the silentblock is aligned with the one previously drawn on the housing.
    Note: If these marks do not coincide, disassemble and assemble the silentblock again.

Disassemble the silentblock of the opposite side of the axle and install a new one following the steps described in this manual

Checks and Final Assembly

After completing the silentblock assembly, perform necessary checks and final assembly following the user manual.

1. Lift the axle.
2. Install the screws that fasten the axle to the suspension support.
3. Assemble the suspension shock absorbers.
4. Remove the hydraulic jacks from the axle.
5. Fill the air circuit of the suspension system.
6. Remove the chocks from the front and rear wheels.
7. Adjust the suspension height.
8. Adjust the alignment between the axles.
9. Tighten the bolts of the suspension and shock absorbers according to the specifications of the manufacturer.
