ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE UV FROM THE MAINS POWER BEFORE REMOVING THE CONTROL BOX

Disconnect the UV from the mains. Remove the UV from the wall so you can access the rear of the control box. Isolate from the inlet / outlet pipework if needed.
Unscrew the black end caps from each end of the UV, leaving the locking nuts in place.
Remove the lamp connectors from both ends of the T8 lamp.
Use an allen key to unscrew the hex nuts and the black, plastic wire clips at each end of the UV.
Remove the screw and pull the black clip off to release the cable. Keep the screws and clips safe.
Turn the UV over and unscrew the two screws holding the control box in place. Keep the screws safe.
Unpack your new ballast box.
Re-fit the ballast box and screw the two screws through the plastic brackets into the holes on the top left and top right of the control box.
Carefully re-fit the lamp connectors at each end of the T8 lamp. ENSURE THE END CAP SEALING RING IS IN PLACE.
Re-fit the black end caps on each end of the UV and tighten up. TAKE CARE NOT TO TWIST THE WIRES CONNECTING THE LAMPS.
Re-fit the black clip onto the cable.
Use the allen key to screw the hex nut into each end of the UV. Ensure there is enough flex on the cable between the end cap and the clip.
Re-fit the UV onto your pipework and secure it to the wall.
Once happy everything is back in place, connect the mains cable and power up the UV.

HAND TIGHTEN END CAPS ONLY – DO NOT USE TOOLS

ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE UV FROM THE MAINS POWER BEFORE OPENING THE CONTROL BOX

Disconnect the UV from the mains. You do not need to switch off the water pump.
Unscrew the black end caps from each end of the UV, leaving the locking nuts in place.
Remove the lamp connectors from both ends of the T8 lamp.
Use an allen key to unscrew the black wire clips at each end of the UV. Remove the screw and open the black clip to release the cable. Keep screws and clips safe.
Unscrew the 4 plastic screws on the control box cover and remove the cover.
Unscrew the 4 screws inside the cavities on each corner of the control box.
Remove the control box from the brackets on the UV, but keep the 4 screws safe.
Unpack your new ballast box.
Unscrew the 4 plastic screws on the control box cover and remove the cover.
Place the control box in position on top of the brackets and re-fit the 4 screws inside the cavities on each corner of the control box and tighten them up.
Re-fit the cover and tighten up the four plastic screws on the control box.
Slide the cable in the black wire clip, insert the screw to secure it and use an allen key to screw the clip into the holes at each end of the UV.
Re-fit the lamp connectors to each end of the T8 lamp. ENSURE THE END CAP SEALING RING IS IN PLACE.
Re-fit the black end caps on each end of the UV and tighten up. TAKE CARE NOT TO TWIST THE WIRES CONNECTING THE LAMPS.
Once happy everything is back in place, connect the mains cable and power up the UV.
