IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Nespresso recommends descaling every 3 months or 300 capsules (whichever comes first).
Nespresso machines should be descaled with a Nespresso Descaling Kit which contains a natural solution that thoroughly dissolves the scale build up. Other solutions (such as vinegar or store-bought descalers) may cause damage to your Nespresso machine.
Descaling solution can damage or discolor surfaces so we suggest placing something underneath your machine in case a spill should occur. If a spill does occur, please make sure to clean up the solution immediately to avoid any damage.
Keep descaling solution out of reach of children.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice.
Do not swallow or ingest the descaling solution.
The descaling solution may be irritating to the eyes and skin.
Avoid filling up the water tank during the descaling process.
After descaling, wipe down the machine with a damp cloth.
Duration: 25 Minutes
TIP: Before descaling, it is recommended to clean the steam wand tip.
NOTE: The descale and rinse cycle can be paused at anytime by pressing the Steam button. To resume, press the steam button again.
STEP 1 Descaling is needed when the descaling light blinks orange.
Eject any capsules. With machine plugged in, empty the capsule container and drip tray and place back onto the machine.
STEP 2 Fill water tank with 33.81 ounces of water to the marked descaling line on the tank and add 2 packets of Nespresso descaling solution. Place tank back on machine.
Avoid solution contact with eyes, skin, and kitchen surfaces.
STEP 3
Place an empty container (at least 65 oz) under the coffee outlet and steam wand. With machine on, close the machine head and lock the lever.

STEP 5

STEP 6 Once the descale cycle completes the Steam button will flash and just the bottom temp light will be on. Discard the descaling solution. Remove, empty, and rinse the water tank, capsule container, and drip tray.
STEP 7 Refill the water tank to the MAX line with fresh water. Reattach to the machine.
STEP 8 Replace the capsule container, and drip tray on the machine and replace the empty container under the coffee spout and steam wand.
