PureSmart Wi-Fi Wall Dimmer

Product Information

The product is a Smart Wi-Fi Wall Dimmer that is compatible with single pole or 3-way wiring. The product comes in the SWW-DIM-WH model and is included with wireless frequency of 2.4GHz and wireless standard of IEEE802.11b/g/n. The product functions as a Wi-Fi access point and is designed for indoor use. The package includes screws and the dimensions of the product are 440 x 372mm.
The product is made of 80G writing paper and can be dismantled using the organ page 110 x 62 mm finished product method.

Product Usage Instructions
Before proceeding with installation, please read the manual carefully. If you have any questions during installation, please contact [email protected].

Section 1: Installation

A few quick reminders before installation:

• Please do not try installing this device if you are unsure of how electrical circuits operate.
• Identify all wires correctly based on their source, not only by color.
• If you have any questions, contact [email protected]

To install the wires, follow these steps:

1. Unscrew: Carefully turn the screw counterclockwise to leave enough space for the wire to be inserted between gold and silver contacts. Do not unscrew the screws completely.

2. Press down on screw.

3. Insert the wire: Make sure the wire is completely straight, then insert it into the terminal between gold and silver contact.
   Do not wrap the wire around the screw!

4. Tighten: Turn the screw clockwise to tighten the wire between gold and silver contacts. Pull on wires to make sure the wires are locked!

Note: There are 2 holes for each terminal that can be used in the connection.

Section 2: Wiring Diagram

Tools Needed: Flat Head Screwdriver. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker or fuse box. Follow these steps for installation:

• Single-pole Wiring traditional/non-smart:

1. Remove wall plate.
2. Remove the switch mounting screws.
3. Identify the wires correctly based on their source, not only by color.
4. Carefully remove the dimmer from the electrical box. (DO NOT disconnect the wires.)
5. There are up to five screw terminals on the smart dimmer.  

Follow the instructions in Section 1 to install the wires.

6. Mount the dimmer into the electrical box using the included screws.

• Smart Wiring:

1. Follow steps 1-4 above.
2. Connect the Neutral wire according to the instructions in Section 1.
3. Connect the Ground wire according to the instructions in Section 1.
4. Connect the Traveler wire according to the instructions in Section 1.
5. Mount the dimmer into the electrical box using the included screws.

Section 3: APP Pairing
Please refer to the manual for instructions on APP pairing.

Product Installation

A Few Quick Reminders
A quick note before we go over the wiring schematics. Please do not try installing this device if you are unsure of how electrical circuits operate within your home. As exciting as it is to have a smart switch installed, it can be dangerous and even life-threatening if you do not install this correctly. Please consult a qualified electrician if necessary. With that said, here are a few other warnings we’d like to point out for your safety:

HOW TO INSTALL THE WIRES

Note before installation

1. The In-Wall Smart On/Off Switch must not exceed 150W LED/500W Incandescent.
2. Works with traditional 3-way on/off for 2 location control. It can only be connected with traditional non-smart 3 way/4 way on-off combinations, don’t use a smart switch or a smart dimmer!
3. The colors of the wires may not match those in our diagrams so please make sure you’ve identified all wires correctly based on their source, not only by color.
4. Please check the original 3-way wiring in your home before installation, and then follow the wiring diagram in the manual.
5. Install the smart switch in the electrical box which directly connects to the power Line and Neutral.
6. This switch requires a Neutral for installation
7. Not recommended for use with a fan. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected]

Wiring Diagram

INSTALLATION

1. Tools Needed: Flat Head Screwdriver.
2. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker or fuse box.
3. Remove wall plate.
4. Remove the switch mounting screws.
5. Disconnect the wires and label them after removing the old switch.(Please use our sticker) Line Load Neutral Ground Traveler (Just for 3-way switch)
6. Carefully remove the dimmer from the electrical box. (DO NOT disconnect the wires.)
7. There are up to five screw terminals on the smart dimmer, each of these are marked (Please refer to: HOW TO INSTALL THE WIRES)
8. After successful wiring, install the wall plate with the included screws.
9. The Ground was excluded from the diagram to simplify the illustration. Please make sure the ground wires are connected to the switches respectively.

NOTE:

1. Neutral required. If the electrical box does not have a Neutral, please stop! Connect the white wire to neutral terminal (use the white jumper that is included in the packaging.)
2. Before the old switch is detached, please identify the common terminal.
3. Only works with a traditional non-smart 3-way on/off for 2 location control. It can only be connected with a traditional non-smart 3-way on/off switch, Not for use with a smart switch or smart dimmer.

App Pairing

1. Please scan the QR code to download the application “Wiz Connected”.
2. You may also find the WiZ app in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store under “Wiz Connected”
3. After you download the Wiz Connected App and register a new account, please follow the instructions below to set up your smart switch.

For Wiz Pro Dashboard Users: WiZ Pro Dashboard account and home must be created before starting commissioning in the WiZ app. Please create an account on WiZ Pro Dashboard. Then create your home or location. After doing so, you may proceed to create an invitation in the dashboard by going to “settings” and then the “members” tab. By clicking on the “Invite” button you will be able to generate an invitation to access this dashboard location in the WiZ app. From there you can proceed with commissioning in the WiZ app but also have the added functionality of the Dashboard desktop application.

WiZ PRO

1. After downloading the “WiZ Connected” app, follow the steps on screen to create or join a home.

2. Add rooms to your Home

3. Press “Start Setup” to add your new connected switch.

4. Select connected switch

5. If your device is brand new please select “Yes, Brand New” to continue the smart pairing process

6. Enter the Wi-Fi network name and password. Your phone should be connected to the same 2.4 GHz network for pairing purposes.

7. Follow the steps on the screen for smart pairing

8. Wait while the app locates and pairs with your dimmer

9. After pairing is complete press Done.

10. Follow the steps to rename your device, select icon, and finish the setup.

11. Your smart dimmer is now ready to use

This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20cm between the radiator &your body.

Manual Pairing

1. If you are not sure if your device has been previously used please select “Used/Not Sure.
2. Follow the instructions on the Wiz App for Manual Pairing
3. Enter your mobile device network settings and connect to “WIZConfig_XXXX” network
4. Return back to the WiZ App and wait until the dimmer is ready and connected
5. Follow the steps on screen to rename your device, select icon, and finish the set up
6. Your smart dimmer is now ready to use
