JetPort 5601 Firmware
Update Guide
Introduction
The JetPort 5601 is a RS-232/422/485 to Redundant Ethernet Serial Device
Server. The serial interface is configurable in software and supports speed as
fast as 921.6kbps.
Dual Ethernet ports can support RTTD (Redundant to the Device) that can auto-
recover in less than 200ms if the primary link breaks, as a result
guaranteeing a non-stop connection. JetPort 5601 is also equipped with two
types of power inputs, the terminal block and power jack.
The JetPort 5601 can be configured by the JetPort Commander, an easy-to-use
utility for Windows, that covers all management, monitoring, and control
functions for one or multiple JetPort servers.

The upgrade steps
Step 1:
Download and install the JetPort Commander Software
Step 2:
Download the latest firmware of the JetPort 5601
Step 3:
Power Up the JetPort 5601 and Connect any of the LAN port to your Laptop
Step 4:
Launch the JetPort Commander Software
Step 5:
The upgrading processes
a. Click on “Add device”
b.
Search using the IP address range of the device, if you forgot the IP address
you might need to factory reset it.
Once found, check the device and click add.
c. Next click on the Firmware Wizard and click next 
d. Select the correct device from the drop down and click next 
e. From this page select the device(s) you want to upgrade and move them to
the right then click next 
f. Next select the latest firmware through the file explorer and click next
once you have the right file. 
g. Next check the “Reboot After Update” and Click on next to start the
upgrading process. 
h. Once the upgrading is done, the JetPort Commander will let you know, from
you the devices will reboot when you click next. 
i. After the reboot, you can use the software to verify the firmware version
is correct.
