PRODUCT

Product Information

The product is an alarm clock that comes with an outdoor sensor. The product has a projection lens that can display the current time, date, and alarm. The device can receive radio-controlled clock signals in some territories. The product has a backlight and snooze function. The device requires four AAA batteries, two for the alarm clock and two for the outdoor sensor. The device also comes with a power adapter.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before using the device, carefully read the safety instructions and operating instructions provided in the instruction manual.
  2. Insert two AAA batteries into the alarm clock and two AAA batteries into the outdoor sensor. Make sure to insert the batteries correctly as per the polarity indication in the battery compartment.
  3. If the device has not been used for a long time, remove the batteries from the unit.
  4. Press [ ] to activate the backlight and projection for 5 seconds or to activate the snooze function to delay the alarm by 8 minutes. Press and hold to set projection on or off (only with AC/DC Adapter).
  5. Press [ ] to switch between current time, date, or alarm 1/2 displays for 5 seconds. Press and hold to enter setting mode.
  6. Press [ ] to toggle alarms on/off. Press and hold to enter alarm setting mode.
  7. Press [ ] to initiate RCC* receiving. Press and hold to set RCC on or off. In time or alarm setting mode, press to increase one unit, press and hold to increase rapidly.
  8. Press [ ] to toggle between channel 1-3 and OUTDOOR SENSOR auto-loop. Press and hold to initiate outdoor sensor search. In time or alarm setting mode, press to decrease one unit, press and hold to decrease rapidly.
  9. When the device is not in use, turn off the RCC function to save battery life.

Radio-controlled clock function not available in every territory.

ABOUT THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL

  • These operating instructions are to be considered a component of the device.
  • Please read the safety instructions and the operating instructions carefully before use.
  • Keep these instructions for renewed use at a later date. When the device is sold or given to someone else, the instruction manual must be provided to the new owner/user of the product. The device is intended only for indoor use.

GENERAL WARNINGS

  • Risk of electric shock — This device contains electronic components. Only use the device as described in the manual; otherwise, you run the risk of an electric shock.
  • Choking hazard — Children should only use the device under adult supervision. Keep packaging material, like plastic bags and rubber bands, out of the reach of children, as these materials pose a choking hazard.
  • Risk of chemical burn — Keep batteries out of the reach of children! Make sure you insert the batteries correctly. Leaking battery acid can lead to chemical burns. Avoid contact of battery acid with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of contact, rinse the affected region immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
  • Risk of fire/explosion — Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the recommended batteries. Do not short-circuit the device or batteries, or throw them into a fire. Excessive heat or improper handling could trigger a short circuit, a fire, or an explosion.
    • Do not disassemble the device. In the event of a defect, please contact your dealer. The dealer will contact the Service Centre and can send the device in to be repaired, if necessary.
    • Use only the recommended batteries. Always replace weak or empty batteries with new, complete set of batteries at full capacity. Do not use batteries from different brands or with different capacities. The batteries should be removed from the unit if it has not been used for a long time.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  • We recommend using alkaline batteries. If temperatures regularly fall below 0°C (32°F), we recommend using lithium batteries.
  • Avoid using rechargeable batteries. (Rechargeable batteries cannot maintain correct power requirements.) polarity in the battery compartment. 2x AAA Batteries are required for the Alarm clock and 2x AAA Batteries are required for the Outdoor sensor.

GETTING STARTED

INSERT BATTERIES

  1. Remove the battery door from the back.
  2. Insert 2x AAA (LR03)/1.5V batteries. Please ensure the polarities (+/-) of the batteries match upon installation.
  3. Reattach the battery door.
    NOTE : Replace batteries when [ ] displays, or when the display is dim.

AC/DC POWER ADAPTER

Only use a compatible AC/DC Power adapter (3.6V 100mA). Plug the power cable to the power jack\ and the power adapter to a suitable power outlet.

OUTDOOR SENSOR

The main unit can receive data from up to 3 outdoor sensors. 1 Sensor is included with delivery

  1. Remove the battery door from the back.
  2. Insert 2x AAA (LR03)/1.5V batteries. Please ensure the polarities (+/-) of the batteries match up- on installation.
  3. Select a channel, then press TX.
  4. Reattach the battery door.
  5. Place the sensor within 30 m (98 ft) of the main unit using the table stand or wall mount

TO SEARCH FOR A SENSOR:

Press and hold [-] to initiate outdoor sensor search.
The sensor reception icon in the outdoor sensor area shows the status: (searching for sensor) or (sensor found).
NOTE: The transmission range may vary depending on many factors. You may need to experiment with various locations to get the best results

CLOCK

CLOCK RECEPTION

  1. When you insert or replace the batteries, RCC reception is initiated. To manually start RCC reception press the [ ] button.
  2. The receiving process duration is 2-10 minutes. If the signal is weak, it could take up to 24 hours to receive a valid signal.
  3. During receiving process, the RCC signal symbol shows: [ ].
  4. If the RCC receiving process is successful, a completed RCC symbol [ ] will be shown in the display and the date and time will be set automatically. If it fails within 7 minutes, RCC setting will quit automatically If that happens, press [ ] button to re-initiate RCC receiving.
  5. To stop RCC reception, press and hold the [ ] button.
  6. If the device is still not receiving the signal, please proceed to set the time manually.
    NOTE : When using a power adapter, please increase the separation of the main unit and the power adapter to avoid interference of RCC signal receiving

SET THE CLOCK MANUALLY

  1. Press and hold [ ] button to enter time and date setting.
  2. The setting parameter will flash.
  3. Press [+] button once, the figure will increase 1 unit (when setting the minute, the second will reset to 0). Press and hold the [+] button, the figures will increase rapidly.
  4. Press the [–] button once, the figure will decrease 1 unit (when setting the minute, the second will reset to 0). Press and hold the [–] button, the figures will decrease rapidly.
  5. Press the [ ] button to confirm setting and enter to next parameter.
  6. The sequence of setting: Zone 12/24h format Hour Minute Year Calendar format (month-day/ day-month) Month Date Temperature unit (°C/°F) Weekday Language 7. If there is no action in 20 seconds or if you press and hold the [ ] button, the setting will be saved and you will exit the setting mode

LANGUAGE

  1. Press and hold the [ ] button to enter time setting.
  2. Press and hold [ ] button to confirm setting and exit.
  3. Language setting sequence: English (ENG) Spanish (SPA) Italien (ITA) French (FRE) German (GER)
  4. Press [ ] button to confirm setting and exit.

TIME ZONE SETTING
To set a different time zone, proceed as follows:

  1. Press and hold [ ] button to enter time setting.
  2. The screen displays ZONE and the numbers start to flash.
  3. Press [+] button to increase or [-] button to decrease the Time zone offset.
  4. Press and hold [ ] button to confirm setting and exit.

SETTING

  1. Press and hold [ ] button to enter time setting.
  2. Press [ ] button several times until you reach the Temperature unit setting.
  3. Press [+] or [-] button to switch Celsius (oc) / Fahrenheit (OF).
  4. Press and hold [ ] button to confirm setting and exit.

ALARM

SETTING/ADJUSTING DUAL ALARM TIME
You can set two alarm times (ALI and AL2).

  1. Press and hold [ ] button to enter alarm setting mode.
  2. The setting parameter will flash.
  3. Press [+] or [-] button to set the desired data.
  4. Press [ ] button to confirm setting and enter to next parameter.
  5. Sequence of setting: Hour Minute
  6. Now press [+] or [-] to toggle Weekday alarm on or off and press [ ] button to confirm. The Alarm rings only on weekdays when the setting is ON.
  7. Repeat step 2-4 for Alarm 2 setting.
  8. Alarm will turn on automatically when alarm setting is finished.

TURN ON/OFF ALARM

  1. Press the [ Q ] button to turn on/off the alarm. The sequence is: ALI on -Y AL2 on ALI+AL2 on ALI +AL2 off.
  2. The ALI default alarm time is 6:00 0’clock and the AL2 default alarm time is 8:00 0’clock.
  3. The alarm lasts 2 minutes and becomes faster and faster over time.

OPERATION

  1. At the set time, alarm signal rings.
  2. During the alarm, press the [OISNOOZEIO] button to delay the alarm by 8 minutes.
  3. If you do not press any button to stop the alarm, it will automatically turn off after 2 minutes.
  4. To stop the alarm, press the [   ] button.
  5. The alarm will start again at the next alarm time, unless you switch off the alarm function by pressing the [ ] button until the alarm is set to off

TEMPERATURE

  • The indoor temperature is always displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen. To receive outdoor temperature you can connect up to 3 outdoor sensors to the main unit.
  • Press the [-] button to toggle between Channel 1-3 or to auto-loop between the Channels.
    NOTE : When the indoor temperature is lower than -5 °C (23.0 °F), the screen displays LL.L. When the temperature is higher than 50 °C (122.0 °F), the screen displa.ys HH.H

PROJECTION
The projector displays the time on your ceiling or wall and it can rotate 1800. It is easier to view in a darkened room. For the optimal projection results, place the unit within 1.5 – 2 m (5-6.5 ft) from the ceiling or wall.

  1. Press the [EXPLORE-SCIENTIFIC-RPW3008-Weather-Projection-Clock-FIG- \(16\)] button to activate the Projection for 5 seconds.
  2. Press the [EXPLORE-SCIENTIFIC-RPW3008-Weather-Projection-Clock-FIG- \(16\)] button when the projection is on to flip the projection display 1800.
  3. Press and hold the [EXPLORE-SCIENTIFIC-RPW3008-Weather-Projection-Clock-FIG- \(16\)] button to activate/deactivate continous projection (only with AC/DC adapter)

NOTES ON CLEANING

  • Remove the batteries before cleaning.
  • Only use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. To avoid damaging the electronics, do not use any cleaning fluid.

  • Dispose of the packaging materials properly, according to their type, such as paper or cardboard. Contact your local waste-disposal service or environmental authority for information on the proper disposal.
