CHOWIS Dermo Pico dpi harris Mobile Hair Analyzer

Product Information

The DermoPico Hair and Scalp Device (CMA2-030-A KRN) is a diagnostic device that measures moisture, hair sebum, hair density, dead skin cells, and hair impurities. It has a magnification of 30x and operates on a 250mAh, 3.7V battery. The device measures 46 x 106 x 31 (mm) and weighs 75g. It has a USB port for charging and a light indicator to show the device’s status. The BLE measurement frequency is between 2400MHz~2483.5MHz, and the operating temperature range is 0~40°C.

Product Usage Instructions

Connecting a Device

  1. Turn on the diagnostic device. The status light on the bottom of the diagnostic blinks blue to indicate that the connection is ready.
  2. Enable the Bluetooth connection of your smartphone.
  3. Launch the DermoPico Hair app and allow it to access Bluetooth automatically. The app will start connecting with the diagnostic device automatically.
  4. When the device is connected, and the calibration notification page appears, press ‘Proceed’.

Power On

  1. Charge the device using the USB cable. Charging takes up to 2 hours.
  2. Press the power button on the side of the device for 3 seconds until the LED of the lens area flashes to power on. Do not look directly at the lens as the LED is strong.
  3. Remove the adhesive film from the included metal guide and attach it to the lens of your smartphone.
  4. Secure the diagnostic device by aligning it with the magnet of the attachment guide.

Install the App

  1. Search for ‘DermoPico Hair’ in the AppStore or PlayStore and install it.
  2. When installing the app, allow both permission requests such as ‘access to location information’ and ‘use of storage space’. If the permission is not allowed, the app will not function properly.
  3. Launch the app, tap ‘Sign Up’ at the bottom of the start page, and create an account.
  4. Enter the email address and password you want to use, agree to the required terms and conditions, and proceed with the registration. The registered email will send user authentication to use the diagnostic and important distributions, so register an account to use it.
  5. Once your email information is verified, you’ll receive a verification email. Check the email and click the ‘Authorization’ button.
  6. Log in with the registered email and password after completing the approval.

Calibration

  1. Focus the camera on the red dot on the included calibration paper and shoot.
  2. Press ‘Okay!’ if the shoot goes right, and if not, check the connection between the diagnostic device and smartphone again and press ‘Retry’ to retake the picture.

Starting Diagnostics – Customer Registration

  1. Click the ‘Customer-Add customer’ button and enter the customer information you want to register.
  2. Items with red * in the information field are required. After completing the entry, check and agree to the ‘PRIVACY POLICY’ and ‘DATA TRANSFER’ at the bottom, and then click the ‘Save’ button.
  3. Select the customer you want to perform skin analysis on from the list, press it, and press the ‘Analyze’ button at the bottom to start measuring the hair.

How to Measure Moisture

  1. Lightly touch the device’s moisture sensor to your scalp.
  2. Tap the moisture icon at the bottom of the image to finish shooting.

How to measure oiliness

  1. Press the enclosed oil powder against the scalp for 3 seconds.
  2. Photograph the oily paper in contact with the scalp against the lens.
    ※ Make sure the entire screen is filled with oil.

Skip diagnostic items

  • If you press ‘Skip’ at the bottom of the shooting page for each item, the items on that page will advance to thenext item without shooting.

How to measure hair density, hair sebum, and dead skin cells

  1. Press the camera button with the lens on the area you want to analyze, or quickly touch the shooting screen twice to shoot.
  2. Press the RETAKE button if you want to reshoot, or the  NEXT button if you want tomove on to the next item.
    ※Hair and scalp diagnosis is automatic step by step.

Analysis Method

  1. Once all items have been measured, the questionnaire will be checked to derive more accurate results.
  2. Scroll up and down the app screen to see diagnostics, recommendations, and more.

Product Recommendation

  1. On the main screen, go to ‘Settings-Product recommendation’.
  2. Take a photo of the recommended product according to the diagnosis item, or register the photo saved in advance in the photo album.
  3. Copy and insert the URL of the online store into the item at the bottom of the image, and click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page.
  4. Press the green ‘+’ button at the bottom of the product registration box to register additional products. You can add up to three featured products per item.

  1. On the main screen of the application, press ‘Settings’ and tap the ‘Language’ item.
  2. If you select your preferred language from the support  items, it will be appliedautomatically.

How to diagnose skin

  1. Touch the moisture sensor to your forehead and tap the T-zone area on the appscreen.
  2. Touch the moisture sensor to your cheek and tap the Uzone area of the app screen.

How to measure oil

  1. Check the T-zone and Uzone of the enclosed sebum paper

  2. Dab the T-zone part of the sebum paper to your forehead and press for 3 seconds.

  3. Capture the oil sebum paper in contact with the Tzone against the lens.
    ※Make sure the entire screen is filled with sebum

  4. The U zone proceeds the same way.

How to measure wrinkles, pores, and sebum

  1. Press the camera button with the lens on the  area you want to analyze, or quickly touch theshooting screen twice to shoot.
  2. Press the RETAKE button if you want to reshoot, or the NEXT button if you want to move on to the next item.
  • Skin diagnosis is automatic, step-by-step.
