Product Information

The Black+Decker BXMX300E Hand Mixer is a household appliance designed to mix, blend and knead ingredients for cooking and baking. It comes with two blending whisks and two dough hooks that can be easily attached and detached using the accessories release button. The mixer also features a turbo button for extra power when needed and a speed selector control to adjust the mixing speed. The motor body is connected to the handle for easy grip and control. Product Usage Instructions

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the product before use.
  2. Before using the product for the first time, clean all parts of the product that will come into contact with food as described in the cleaning section of the user manual.
  3. Make sure the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
  4. Connect the appliance to a socket that can supply a minimum of 10 amperes.
  5. Attach the desired accessory (blending whisk or dough hook) to the mixer using the accessories release button.
  6. Place the ingredients to be mixed in a mixing bowl.
  7. Hold the mixer handle and turn it on using the on/off switch.
  8. Adjust the mixing speed using the speed selector control.
  9. For extra power, use the turbo button.
  10. After use, switch off the appliance and disconnect from the mains.
  11. Detach the accessories and clean all parts of the product that have come into contact with food as described in the cleaning section of the user manual.

Note: Do not use the appliance if its accessories are not properly fitted, or if the on/off switch does not work. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or connected to the mains. Store the appliance out of reach of children and/or pets. Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.

  • This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  • This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Always switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply if it is left unattended and before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use, assembling, disassembling and cleaning.
  • If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be replaced, take the appliance to an authorized technical support service. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance by yourself in order to avoid a hazard.

This appliance is for household use only, not professional, industrial use.

  • Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.

  • Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
  • Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
  • Take the necessary measures to avoid starting the appliance involuntarily.
  • Do not touch any of the appliance’s moving parts while it is operating.

Use and care

  • Fully extend the appliance’s power cable before each use.
  • Do not use the appliance if its accessories are not properly fitted.
  • Do not use the appliance if the accessories attached to it are defective. Replace them immediately.
  • Do not use the appliance if the on/off switch does not work.
  • Use the appliance handle/s, to catch it or move it.
  • Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or connected to the mains.
  • Store this appliance out of reach of children and/or persons with physical, sensory or reduced mental or lack of experience and knowledge.
  • Keep the appliance in good condition. Check that the moving parts are not misaligned or jammed and make sure there are no broken parts or anomalies that may prevent the appliance from operating correctly.
  • Use the appliance and its accessories and tools in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use the appliance for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
  • Never rest the appliance into a surface while in use.
  • Do not use the appliance for more than 5 minutes at any one time. Allow to cool for 15 minutos before subsequent use.

Service

Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before use

  • Make sure that all products’ packaging has been removed.
  • Before using the product for the first time, clean the parts that will come into contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning section.
  • Prepare the appliance according to the function you wish to use:

Use

  • Extend the cable completely before plugging it in.

  • Connect the appliance to the mains.
  • Turn the appliance on, by using the selection knob in position 1.
  • Select the desired speed from the appliance’s five speeds and select the one you need. Always start with slow speeds and increase gradually until you reach the one you wish to use.
  • Work with the food you want to process.
  • Maximum capacity of flour 1.225 gr and 882 gr water.

Once you have finished using the appliance

  • Stop the appliance, selecting position 0 on the selector control.
  • Eject the accessories.
  • Unplug the appliance from the mains.
  • Clean the appliance.

Carry handle (E)

This appliance has a handle on the upper part of the body, which facilitates comfortable transportation.

Accessories

Whisk accessory (F)

  • This accessory is used to whip cream, beat egg whites…
  • Do not use this accessory for heavy mixtures. (ex. Creaming fat and sugar) could damage the appliance.
  • Insert the blending whisks into the orifices in the body of the motor pressing them in until you hear a click (Fig.1.1). The blending whisks are not the same. Place the blending whisks with the washer in the large orifice.
  • Put the food into a large receptacle and switch the appliance on. For best results, turn the whisk clockwise.
  • Using speed selector from minimum speed, increase gradually.
  • Remove the blending accessory by pressing the eject button.
  • Note: to remove the accessory, the speed selector must be in position 0.

Dough hook (G)

  • This accessory is used for knead bread, pizza dough and cakes.
  • Insert the dough hooks into the orifices in the body of the motor pressing them in until you hear a click (Fig.1.2). The dough hooks are not the same. Place the dough hook with the washer in the large orifice.
  • Put the food into a large receptacle and switch the appliance on. For best results, turn the whisk clockwise.
  • Using speed selector from minimum speed, increase gradually.
  • Remove the dough hook accessory pressing the eject button.
  • Note: to remove the accessory, the speed selector must be in position 0.

Turbo function (C)

  • This allows you to work using pulses and helps to control the result of the preparation.
  • Press the turbo button (C). Keep the button pressed down to achieve the desired result.

CLEANING

  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
  • Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
  • Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not let water or any other liquid get into the air vents to avoid damage to the inner parts of the appliance.
  • Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.
  • Neither parts are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.

NOMALIES AND REPAIR

  • Take the appliance to an authorized technical support service if the product is damaged or other problems arise. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance yourself as this may be dangerous.

  • The materials of which the packaging of this appliance consists are included in a collection, classification and recycling system. Should you wish to dispose of them, use the appropriate public recycling bins for each type of material.
