JHS Pedals 3 Series Flanger Pedal
Product Information
3-Series Flanger
The 3-Series Flanger is a guitar effects pedal inspired by the classic analog flangers of the past. It features controls for Blend, Rate, and Intensity, as well as a Tape toggle that simulates tape flanging. The pedal has an input and output jack and requires a 9V DC negative center power supply that should not exceed 70mA.
Controls
- Blend: This control blends in the flanger effect over your clean signal. Turn the knob right for increased flange, and experiment with lower positions for chorus-like tones.
- Rate: Controls the speed of the flange. Turning the knob clockwise increases the speed.
- Intensity: Controls the amount of flange. The Left is mild flanging, while the right is more extreme.
- Tape: Toggle up moves the sound into tape-like sweeps with zero through flanging. This model is inspired by real tape flanging as done in studios by altering the speed of tape machines during playback.
Usage Instructions
- Connect your guitar to the input jack on the right side of the pedal.
- Connect your amplifier or another audio device to the output jack on the left side of the pedal.
- Connect your power supply to the pedal’s power input. Make sure to use a 9V DC negative center power supply that does not exceed 70mA.
- Turn on your amplifier or audio device, and gradually turn up the Blend control to add in the flanger effect.
- Adjust the Rate and Intensity controls to your desired settings to control the speed and amount of the flanging effect.
- Experiment with the Tape toggle to simulate tape flanging effects.
- When finished, turn off your amplifier or audio device and disconnect the power supply from the pedal.
