Installation

It is recommended to start installing in this order: Gas Tank – T-case – Transmission – Engine – Radiator.

If you have a chance – remove the rear driver side tire. Place Floor Jack under the back side of the gas tank – right on the metal belt holding the tank Do not force to lift the jack. Unscrew the bolt that support the gas tank on the back and insert the support supplied with your skid plate.

LEAVE IT LOOSE

Take the skid plate and add the small bracket using the 3/8 bolts. LEAVE IT LOOSE Center of the Skid Plate, roll it under the gas tank and lift it in place. Make sure that the long bracket goes INSIDE the tray – secure that with 3/8” bolts. Secure the front bracket with the M8 (LEAVE IT LOOSE) bolt and should look like this:

Secure the skid in place by adding the other M8 on the side of the skid driver side (LEAVE IT LOOSE) Install the last bracket – it works better if the rear driver tire is off – as shown in picture. Use M8’s for the top and 3/8” for the bottom. Center the skid – look for parallel lines and start tightening the bolts.
