How Does The Yachyee IPL Hair Removal Device Work? The Yachyee IPL hair removal device is designed to help break the cycle of hair growth. Light energy is transferred through the skin’s surface and is absorbed by melanin present in the hair shaft. The absorbed light energy is converted to heat energy which disables the hair follicle. Treated hairs naturally fall out over the course ofa few days to 1-2 weeks. Continuous use can prevent hair growth in the longterm.

What to Expect

In the first few weeks following the initial treatments, you will still see some hairs growing. These are likely to be hairs that were missed during treatment. Around 6 weeks into the treatment program you should see a reduction in hair growth. However, many hairs may still not have been treated in their growth phase. It is important to continue the weekly treatments. After 12 weeks, you should see a significant reduction in hairs within the treated area. Any remaining hairs should be finer and lighter in color.

Liquid Crystal Display Introduction

Meaning of “AUTO” on the LCD Screen
The device i_s in Automatic mode when “AUTO” shows on the LCD screen. There are 2 modes. Manual mode will emit light every time you press the flash button. AUTO mode will emit light automatically and continuously, which is more suitable for large areas like legs and arms. How to enter AUTO mode: Long press the flash button for 3 seconds until “AUTO” shows on the LCD screen

Refer to Skin Tone Chart Before Using

Yachyee IPL device is ideal for lighter skintones. NOT applicable to dark brown and black skin; Please see skin tone chart below .

Patch Test
Before your first treatment, we recommend you test for any reaction to the Yachyee IPL hair removal device on a small area of skin on the body part you plan to treat (about 2 x 3 cm in size). Wait 48 hours to examine the test area. If the skin appears normal, begin your first treatment. If a skin reaction develops, discontinue using the device and consult your physician.

Tips to Avoid Overheating
After about three minutes of usage, the metal around the light becomes hot and therefore it would be best to count till 5 or so before placing the laser onto the next spot.

Instructions for Use

1. Clean skin and shave off the hair from the desired treatment area.
2. Wear goggles to prevent the treatment flash from irritating eyes.
3. Connect power cord and press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on.
4. Press® to adjust light intensity (from 1-5);it is suggested to start from level 1.
5. Press the device at 90° firmly onto your skin to ensure proper skin contact, and then press the flash once for one flash .

Treatment Time

For best results, repeat the treatment in each area 2-3 times to reduce the chance of missing a spot. But do remember to give it a few seconds to rest before you radiate the same spot the second time, otherwise, it may feel painful.

Intensity Selection

The higher the number, the stronger the intensity of power. Different people have different pain tolerance, so we recommend starting from lower intensities such as 1 or 2 to test your pain tolerance to the device. When your skin adapts to it, you can increase the intensity for better effectiveness.

How to Treat the Face

• Before treating the face, make sure you have done a patch test, removed any visible hair and cosmetics, lotions and creams from the area you wish to treat.
• Before pressing the treatment button, close your eyes or look away to avoid the bright light.
• Do not use on permanent/ semi-permanent lip liner.
• You can press your lips together to ensure that the flash does not touch the upper lip.

Do Not Use On

• Scalp, eyebrows or anywhere near or around the eyes. Use in these areas may permanently damage your eyes.
• A tattoo or permanent makeup in the treatment area.
• Nipples, genitals or around the anus. These areas may have a darker skin color and/or greater hair density and using the device in these areas may cause discomfort/pain or injure your skin.
• Dark brown or black spots such as freckles, birthmarks, moles or warts in the treatment area.

FAQ

• Q: Why do I feel tingling?
• A: This is normal. Everyone has a different pain tolerance. If there is a tingling sensation, please lower the intensity.
• Q: Why does my skin have a slight redness and/or burning sensation?
• A: This is normal and disappears on its own, or you can use aloe vera gel or a towel to cool down.
• Q: Why do I smell burnt hair?
• A: If the hair is not completely shaved, there will be a burnt smell. This is a normal phenomenon. Please be sure to shave before use so that the light energy can arrive at the follicle.
• Q: Why is the device not flashing?
• A: The light outlet is not touching the skin or is not perpendicular to the skin. The light outlet should be close to the skin and perpendicular to the skin.
• Q: Why does the device automatically shut down?
• A: This is normal. The system is set to automatically shut down if the device is not used for 5 minutes. Please long press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on.
• Q: Why didn’t I see any difference after 3 months of use?
• A: Some people see effects right away; some see effects more slowly, because everyone has different hair growth speed. Please be patient and use the device on intensity level 5 to see results faster. If after 3 months of use, you still feel that this machine is not suitable for you, please contact support@goyachyee.com to help you return it.
• Q: Why won’t the device turn on?
• A: Please note that this machine is not rechargeable and needs to be plugged in. After plugging in the power cord, press the power button for 3 seconds to turn it on.
• Q: Can I use this device on light-colored hair?
• A: Yes, you can use this device on all hair colors; however, it will take longer to see results on light colored-hair because there is less melanin in the follicle to absorb the light energy.
• Q: Can I use it everyday to see results sooner?
• A: No. The hair removal device will generate a certain amount of heat and laser light when it is working. Excessive use will cause certain damage to the skin and remove hair follicles. Hair growth takes a certain amount of time; using the device every day will not achieve a better hair removal effect. It is recommended to use it 2-3 times a week .
