PREVENT YOUNG CHILDREN FROM DROWNING:

  • Drowning occurs silently and quickly. It can occur in water as little as 2 inches within seconds.
  • Vigilance is paramount when children are in or near the water.
  • State or local laws or codes may require fencing or other approved barriers. Check state or local laws and codes before setting up the pool.
  • Please refer to CPSC Pub. No. 362. “Safety Barrier Guidelines for Residential Pools” for a list of barrier recommendations and guidelines at www.poolsafely.gov.
  • Keep children in your direct sight when they are in or near the pool and when you are filling and emptying the pool.
  • When searching for a missing child, check the pool first, even if you think your child is in the house.
  • Assign an adult to be responsible for watching children in the pool and have them wear the provided Water Watcher tag and ask them to wear it the entire time they are in charge of supervising children in the pool.
  • If they need to leave for any reason, ask this person to pass the Water Watcher tag and the supervision responsibility to another adult.

Thread an appropriate length of string (approximately 20 inches/51cm long) through the hole and secure it with a knot. Ask the supervising adult to wear the Water Watcher tag around their neck.

A WATER WATCHER IS:

  • Assigned to watch children in the water, never leaving them unattended
  • Regularly scans the bottom of the pool
  • Avoids talking on the phone or engaging in distracting, poolside conversations
  • Will call 911 and administer CPR in the event of an emergency
  • Can locate and know how to use all pool safety equipment onsite

PREVENT YOUNG CHILDREN FROM GAINING ACCESS TO THE POOL:

  • Position furniture away from the pool so that children cannot climb and gain access to the pool.
  • When leaving the pool, remove floats and toys from the pool that might attract a child.
  • Do not remove any safety barriers until the pool is completely empty and stowed away.

BE PREPARED TO RESPOND TO AN EMERGENCY:

  • Keep a working phone and list of emergency numbers near the pool.
  • Become certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) so you can respond to an emergency.

PLACEMENT OF POOL:

  • The portable pool should be set up to comply with local safety and building codes.
  • Do not install the pool on a slope or inclined surfaces, on soft or loose soil conditions (such as sand or mud), or on an elevated surface such as a deck, platform or balcony, which may collapse under the weight of the filled pool.
  • The pool’s location is important. The pool is best placed on grass or a soft surface, not hard or sharp surfaces.
  • Ensure the boxed pool is at the selected set-up site before inflating.
  • Never drag an inflated pool along the ground as it may be damaged.
  • Before you inflate, please inspect the pool for any tears or punctures.

ELECTROCUTION RISK:
Keep all electrical lines, radios, speakers, and other electrical devices away from the pool.

GENERAL SAFETY WHEN USING THE POOL:

  • Water can be easily contaminated. Use fresh and clean water each time pool is used to maintain hygiene and prevent illness.
  • It is important to change the water of paddling pools frequently, particularly in hot weather or when noticeably contaminated.
  • Do not apply pressure to the inflated walls or straddle and lean on walls as flooding or injury could occur.
  • Do not place hard or sharp objects in the pool which could puncture the inflatable walls.
  • Do not modify this product or use accessories not supplied by the manufacturer.
  • Please follow Maintenance instructions to prevent damage beyond normal wear and deterioration. Deterioration can lead to pool failure which might cause large quantities of water to release from the pool, causing property damage or bodily injury.

A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

INFLATING THE POOL
  1. There are two inflation points one for each ring and two valves on each inflation point. The black part of each valve is the main valve – air will come in and out of this valve. The clear part of that valve is just for further inflation. This is a one-way-only valve (genius) it will not deflate but allows you to top up to the firm.
  2. Start with the bottom ring first. The black part of the valve is the main valve so pull that out and insert the air pump or just get blowing (without passing out please).
  3. Stop when firm and close overall valves. Repeat on the top ring.

The pool may not be perfectly round on first inflation. Inflate the pool to full capacity on first use and fill it up with water and all kinks should disappear. Do not use a high-pressure pump to inflate. Do not over-inflate.

FILLING THE POOL
  • Ensure the drain plug is securely plugged.
  • Slowly fill with clean, fresh water.
  • Do not overfill the pool as this may result in the pool wall collapsing and flooding, causing safety issues and damage to property.
MAINTENANCE

Do not add chemicals or chlorine to the water. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading from UV rays. Clean the pool with cold soapy water and a soft cloth. Harsh chemicals and abrasive brushes will damage pool material.

EMPTYING AND STORAGE OF THE POOL
  • When the pool is not in use, water must be drained, and the pool deflated by an adult.
  • Follow local regulations for disposing of pool water.
  • Deflate the pool after each use and ensure the pool is completely dry before folding and storing it in a dry place to prevent damage beyond normal wear and deterioration.
  • Store in below room temperatures to protect against valve seal damage.
