DB-SEAL Base Seal
Instruction Manual
INTRODUCTION
Use the Model DB-Seal base seal with a DB-3S base to prevent moisture from condensing and collecting on the rear of the detector used. This moisture can occur when units experience different temperatures or humidity conditions.
INSTALLATION
(See Figure 1) All wiring must comply with national and local codes.
- Install and wire the DB-3S base by following the DB-3S Installation Instructions (PIN 315-083225). Make sure that all wires are dressed flush to the bottom of the base.
- Position the tabs on the seal over the slots in the inner rim of the base and press the seal in place.
- Check that the four openings for the spring contacts clear the springs and the plastic terminal supports.
- With the seal in place, install the detector.
- Follow the checkout procedure in the detector installation instructions.
