Appearance
ON/OFF switch
Toggle the ON/OFF switch, when the camera indicator lights up that means
the success of the power on.
Camera status indicators
The camera has two indicators, the red light is the AP mode indicator and
the blue light is the network indicator.

Reset button
Press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds until the red and blue lights
flash alternately, then the indicator will flash blue slowly, which means the
reset is successful.
Please note:
The MicroSD card videos will still remain after resetting the camera, but the
videos saved in the cloud will be deleted. Please download your cloud videos
to your phone before resetting, if needed.
MicroSD Card Installation
Make sure the camera is in a power-off state, insert the microSD card with the contact side down into card slot.
Please note:
- Before installing or removing a microSD card, you need to turn off the camera; otherwise, the recording files will be damaged or fail to be saved.
- The camera supports cards with class 4 and above (Max 256G).
- The camera only supports cards formatted as FAT32.
Set up your camera
The camera may be in low power condition after a long time of transportation. Please charge the camera for 5-6 hours before use.
Download the O-KAM App
Search for “O-KAM” on App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code below
to download the app compatible with your phone system.
Create an O-KAM account
Open the app, follow App instrctions to create an account first. If you
already have, please log in.
Connect camera to phone(AP Mode)

Turn on the camera, and the blue indicator flash slowly. If not, please reset it.

Go to your phone Settings > Wi-Fi, search the camera signal ”LAICAM…” and connect it.
Note: Android users will receive a pop-up prompt about the network, please ignore and keep connecting. Before configuring the Wi-Fi to your cam in the app, you should keep connecting the camera signal, or it will show OFFLINE and not work. -
Open the O-KAM app, and it will auto-detect and add the camera.
Connect camera to WiFi router
- Tap “ ” beside the camera live image.
- Tap Device Settings > Wi-Fi network.
- Choose your Wi-Fi, enter the password, and confirm it.
- Wi-Fi setting may need 30-60s, when your Wi-Fi appears on the top area “ The network currently connected to the camera” which means the Wi-Fi connection is successful.
Please note:
- The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
- To ensure stability and accuracy of the camera Wi-Fi signal while connecting, please keep the camera close to the phone and router within 5m to reduce the impact of obstacles like walls and doors.
Main Device Controls
Real-time remote viewing
Open O-KAM APP, on homepage, tap “ ” on your camera. Then you can view the
live stream, alarm messages triggered by this cam and videos saved in the TF
card (if inserted). On the live stream page, you can:
- Full Screen
- Ajust the clarity
- Turn on/off sound
- Set night vision
- Take a picture
- Record a video clip
- View motion-trggered videos saved in the cloud
- View the all videos saved in the TF card
Cloud storage
Once motion (or can set just to human activity) is detected, the camera
will send alerts with videos to your phone app instantly. You can log into the
O-KAM app to see what’s going on in real-time. These videos will also be saved
and uploaded to cloud storage; no memory card is required.
How to set up cloud storage
- Tap “ ” beside the camera live image.
- Tap “Monitoring Function,” turn on “Motion Detection” and “Cloud recording.”
- “Motion detection frequency,” “Human Shape Detection,” “Recording Duration,” and “Motion deteciton schedule” can be set according to your needs.
Human Shape Detection
After you turn on “Huama shape detection,” the camera just gives you alerts
when people appear (shown in the below picture as “human activity alarm”), not
like motion detection may also include car headlights, swinging doors, or
insects on the camera.
How to view videos stored in the cloud
- Open the O-KAM app.
- Tap “Cloud” beside the camera live image.
- Then you can filter by date to view motion-triggered alarm videos as needed. Besides, you can:
- Delete videos
- Download the video
- Take a picture
- Adjust playback speed
- Share the video
- Filter video by date
Power mode
You can set the camera to sleep mode or deep sleep mode to save the battery and ensure a long standby time.
- Sleep mode: usually the device is in sleep, you can wake the cam up through motion detection or app. Battery power consumption is low.
- Continuous working mode: the device does not sleep and works all the time, and the battery will last about 19 hours.
- Deep sleep mode: when the camera in this mode, only motion detection will wake the device up, app can not wake the device up. This mode consumes the least battery.
Video management
On the video management page, you can turn on/off automatic night vision,
mirror horizontally, mirror vertically, time watermark. And you can adjust
light anti-interference, brightness, contrast, decoding mode.
TF card recording settings
You can set turn on/off sound recording, and format the SD card. When you
turn on “Sound recording,” image and sound will be recorded simultaneously.
The video saved on the microSD card is 1080P.
Memory card usage tips:
- Supports cards with speed above class 4(Max 256G).
- Memory card format is FAT32.
- Please use genuine memory card, and compatibility is not guaranteed for fake, inferior and refurbished cards.
Device health & firmware upgrade
You can find out information about your camera’s battery, network, mac
address, etc. And you can upgrade the cam firmware. For better experience, we
recommend upgrading the camera firmware to the latest version.
Firmware upgrade tips:
- Before upgrading, please connect your camera to the power supply.
- During the upgrading, please do not exit O-KAM app.
Message
You can view all the motion-triggered alarm videos in the cloud. And you can
filter by date, state, and camera to view videos as needed.
Please note:
Due to the high cost of cloud storage, free cloud storage is on a 3-day cycle,
and the resolution of the videos stored in the cloud will be compressed. For
the videos you need, please download them to the album in time.
