How do you maintain the self-cleaning brushroll?
If you see any hair wrapped around the self-cleaning brushroll, continue
cleaning, using Carpet mode on a bare-floor surface, and the brushroll should
automatically remove the hair wrap.
If some hair wrap remains after continued use, open the bottom of the floor
nozzle and carefully remove the hair.
How do I store my vacuum?
To store the vacuum upright, detach the handheld vacuum and hang it from the storage hook on the front of the wand. Then wrap the power cord around the cord hooks.
**What happens if I experience small static shocks while I am
vacuuming?**
Certain dry temperatures in winter or dry desert areas may cause common static electricity to build up in the vacuum, producing small shocks, similar to what you might experience from contact with doorknobs, wool sweaters, or blankets. This is harmless. To avoid this, we recommend moisturizing your hands and/or removing wool socks or sweaters prior to vacuuming.
What should I do if my vacuum is hard to push or pull?
For more maneuverability on area rugs, use the Bare Floor setting.
– Tilt the handle back while gently stepping on the floor nozzle. The brush
rolls will spin slowly in this mode.
For easier movement on high-pile carpets, press the Floor Type button to switch to Carpet setting.- Tilt the handle back while gently stepping on the floor nozzle. The brush rolls will spin quickly in this mode.
What should I do if my vacuum doesn’t turn on?
Check the power outlet by plugging in another appliance or plugging the vacuum
into a different outlet.
Make sure the power button is turned on.
If the vacuum still doesn’t have power, it may have overheated.
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a motor protective thermostat. If for some reason your vacuum overheats, the thermostat will automatically turn the unit off. Typically, overheating is caused by a clogged airway. It may take approximately 60 minutes for the unit to cool. Perform the following steps to clear the clog while the vacuum cools.
1. Turn off the vacuum and unplug it.
2. Detach the dust cup and position it over a trash receptacle. Press the
Empty button to open the lid and release debris and dust into the trash. Clear
away any debris from the cone-shaped screen inside the dust cup, then close
the lid.

cup. Tap filters clean over a trash can to remove any excess dirt and debris.
4. Reinsert the filters, placing the felt filter in first, followed by the
foam filter. Reinstall the housing into the top of the dust cup.
5. Detach the hand vacuum from the wand and the wand from the floor nozzle.
Remove any blockages.
6. Turn the nozzle upside down. Clear away any clogs or debris around the
brushroll and in the nozzle openings.
7. Check for clogs in the debris intake.
8. Once all clogs have been cleared, reassemble the vacuum.
9. Once the unit has cooled for 60 minutes, plug it back in and turn it on.
If problem persists, please contact Customer Care.

**The odor neutralizer technology system has no smell, or is less
intense. Is it working?**
The intensity of the odor neutralizer technology’s fragrance may diminish over time. It may also have no noticeable fragrance at all. This is natural and does not indicate the technology isn’t working. Follow replacement instructions to ensure continued performance.
This technology only works when the vacuum is in operation.
**My vacuum is emitting air that smells bad. Is my odor neutralizer
technology not working?**
-
Check the dust cup as it may be full. Empty the dust cup if needed and empty the dust cup after each use for optimal odor neutralizer technology performance.
-
If you vacuumed up particularly bad-smelling debris such as a wet pet mess, thoroughly clean the interior of the vacuum to remove any remaining problem debris from the system.
-
Check the filters to see if they need cleaning. Follow instructions for rinsing and air-drying the filters before reinstalling them.
-
Make sure the odor cartridge is installed in the dial and the dial is installed in the nozzle correctly.
-
Check the odor neutralizer technology dial on the nozzle to see what setting is enabled. If the odor neutralizer technology dial is on Low, consider increasing the intensity.
-
If the cartridge has been installed for 6 months or longer, consider replacing it. Whenever installing a new cartridge, write the date on the cartridge as a reminder to replace it after 6 months.

**How should I dispose of my old odor neutralizer technology
cartridges?**
The odor neutralizer technology cartridges can be disposed of in the trash. Do not litter. Due to their size, cartridges cannot be recycled.
Is the odor neutralizer technology safe to use around pets and children?
Yes, but please read the Owner’s Guide and carefully follow all warnings and safety instructions.
**How does the Odor Neutralizer Technology work? Does it have an air
freshener smell and mask the odor?**
The Odor Neutralizer Technology molecules are specially created to seek out
the bad odors inside your vacuum and transform them for a
better overall experience. As the vacuum operates, the Odor Neutralizer
Technology molecules interact with the odorous debris as it moves through the
vacuum’s system leaving a fresher smell coming out of the exhaust. There is
also the option to adjust the intensity of the smell to your liking, right on
the nozzle.
