E40G 4G LTE HD Trail Camera

Incorrect use may damage the camera or cause danger.

Hazards to people who are incapable of using cameras
- It is forbidden for children to use the camera alone, and can only be used by normal adults.
Electric shock and fire hazard
- If the camera is damaged or foreign objects entered, please power off the camera immediately, otherwise there is a danger of fire or explosion.
- Using an external power supply may cause electric shock or fire. Please keep the camera and power supply dry and ventilated, and do not cover with any objects.
- Do not use external power supply during thunder or lightning, otherwise it may cause electric shock or other accidents.
Use safety warnings
- It is forbidden to drop, hit, squeeze or puncture the camera.
- It is forbidden to use corrosive chemicals to clean the camera.
- It is forbidden to be close to high temperature or flammable materials.
- It is forbidden to disassemble or repair the camera by yourself.
Use, Protection and Storage
- The camera must be mounted in a firm place.
- The camera has a rainproof function and can be used outdoors.
- The camera cannot be submerged. It is forbidden to immerse the camera in water.
- It is forbidden to use the camera upside down. Before it works, all toggle hasps must be fastened and the waterproof plug must be covered.
- If the camera is not in use, the batteries must be taken out and placed in a dry place.
- Man-made damages such as bumps and drops are not covered by the warranty.
Waste disposal
- It is prohibited to dispose of the camera and its accessories as household waste. Discarding at will is prohibited.
- Please classify and handle it according to local laws and regulations.
Other warnings
- Please abide by local policies and regulations on the use of wireless products. Do not use the camera where it is prohibited to use.

1.1 Features

Warning:
Do not charge the camera through the USB port. It is only used for factory
debugging and has no functions available to users.
Start to use
This chapter will tell you how to prepare the camera before use, including
inserting the Nano SIM card and Memory card, and inserting the batteries.
2.1 Insert Nano SIM card and Memory card
2.1.1 The camera must be inserted into a Nano SIM card and a Memory card to
work properly. Before using the camera, please connect your phone and open the
APP to format the Memory card.
2.1.2 Unfasten the toggle hasp and open the front cover.
2.1.3 Insert the Nano SIM card into the SIM card slot and push it in until you
hear a “click”. As shown below: The missing corner of the Nano SIM card is
aimed at SIM card slot with the metal contacts are facing down.
2.1.4 Insert the memory card into the memory card slot and push it in until you hear a “click”. As shown below: The missing corner of the memory card is aimed at memory card slot with the metal contacts are facing down.
Notice:
Do not remove or insert the Nano SIM card and memory card when the camera is
working, otherwise the Nano SIM card or memory card will be damaged. Please
use a Nano SIM card that complies with the local 4G-LTE network standard. For
details, please consult your local carrier. Please use a qualified CLASS4 or
above memory card, the inferior memory card will cause the camera to not work
properly.
2.2 Insert batteries
Insert batteries into the camera before use. The camera uses 8 AA batteries.
2.2.1 Unfasten the battery compartment cover toggle hasp as shown, open the
cover.
2.2.2 Insert 8 AA batteries according to the polarity marks shown on the
battery compartment.
2.2.3 Keep the battery compartment cover clean, close the cover, and fasten
the toggle hasp.
2.2.4 Slide 【VIDEO/PHOTO/OFF】switch to “Photo” or “Video”, the network
indicator will be on, which shows that the batteries are inserted correctly.
Insert batteries according to the specified polarity marks, and do not mix old
and new batteries. Incorrectly placed batteries will not power on and may
damage the camera or be dangerous. After the batteries are inserted, the
toggle hasp must be fastened, otherwise water or dust will enter and damage
the camera. If the camera will not be used for a
long time, please take out all batteries to avoid damage to the camera.
2.3 Install antenna
2.3.1 Remove the dust cap of the antenna base on the top of the camera.
2.3.2 Install the antenna to the antenna base and tighten it clockwise.
Notice:
The antenna can be adjusted in direction and angle. Properly adjust the
direction of the antenna to get the best 4G signal.
2.4 Use external power supply
When using the camera for a long time, you can use an external power supply to
reduce battery power usage.
2.4.1 Insert the batteries according to Article 2.2, and slide the 【
VIDEO/PHOTO/OFF 】 switch to “PHOTO” or “VIDEO”.
2.4.2 Open the waterproof plug of the DC-IN port, and insert the external
power supply output into the DC-IN port.
2.4.3 After the camera detects the external power supply, it will
automatically switch to the external power supply.
Notice:
The qualified specification of external power supply: DC12V/1.5A.
It is not necessary to take out the batteries when connecting to an external
power supply,.
When the external power supply is not used, please cover the waterproof plug.
2.5 Mount and fix the camera
To ensure the camera works safely, please mount the camera in a firm place,
you can use a strap or bracket to fix the camera.
2.5.1 Using a strap to fix the camera
Pass the strap through the hanging hole on the back of the camera, then fix
the strap on a tree or other firm object, adjust the camera’s shooting angle,
and tie the strap tightly. As shown below:
2.5.2 Use a bracket to fix the camera
Mount the bracket on a fixed object (such as a wall or a tree), screw the
bracket screws into the screw holes on the bottom of the camera, and tighten
it. Adjust the camera angle and tighten all the screws. As shown below:
Screw the bracket screw into the tripod screw hole and tighten it clockwise
Notice:
After the camera is mounted, please fasten all the toggle hasps and cover the
waterproof plug. If the camera is mounted close to the ground, make sure that
the bottom of the camera is more than 20cm from the ground.
2.6 Power on
2.6.1 Slide 【 VIDEO/PHOTO/OFF 】switch to the “PHOTO” or “VIDEO”, the 4G signal
indicator and the network indicator will be on, which shows that the camera is
powered on.
2.6.2 4G signal indicator can indicate three states, as shown belo

2.6.3 The network indicator can indicate two states, as shown below:

Notice:
To save power, the indicator will automatically power off after a period of
time. Any operation on the APP to activate the camera indicator.
2.7 Change working mode
The camera has two working modes: Video mode and Photo mode.
2.7.1 Slide【VIDEO/PHOTO/OFF】 switch to “VIDEO”, and the camera works in “Video
Mode”. In this mode, the camera will automatically record a video when it
senses a signal.
2.7.2 Slide 【VIDEO/PHOTO/OFF】 switch to “PHOTO”, the camera will work in
“Photo Mode”. In this mode, the camera will automatically take a photo when it
senses a signal.
2.8 Reset
If user makes the wrong menu settings and the camera does not work properly,
sure can use the camera’s reset function.
2.8.1 Keep the camera on, and keep the【VIDEO/PHOTO/OFF】switch at the “PHOTO”
or “VIDEO”.
2.8.2 Use a thin needle to insert the【RESET】key hole, press and hold the
【RESET】 for 5 seconds, the camera can be restored to the factory default
settings.
2.8.3 After the reset operation, you must delete the camera in the APP- click
“Delete the device”, and then add the camera- click “Add a device” in the APP
again, then you can continue to use the camera.
Notice:
After resetting, the camera menus are restored to the factory settings. Saved
photo or video files will not be deleted by this action.
2.9 Power off
2.9.1 Slide【VIDEO/PHOTO/OFF】switch to “OFF”, the camera will be powered off.
2.9.2 After the camera is powered off, it needs to wait for 3 seconds before
powering it on again.
2.9.3 If the camera will not be used for a long time, please take out all
batteries inside the camera.
Notice:
If slide 【 VIDEO/PHOTO/OFF 】 switch while the camera is working, the photo or
video is shooting will be automatically saved.
3 Use the camera
This article helps you use the camera and operate on the APP.
3.1 Monitoring shooting
After inserting the SIM card and memory card into the camera, inserting the
batteries and powering it on, please check whether the camera is working
properly. Mount the camera to the shooting area, adjust the camera height and
angle, and aim the lens at the shooting area.
The APP that matches the camera is “UCon”. Please download and install the APP
“UCon”, then open the APP “UCON” on your mobile phone, register an account,
log in and set the relevant parameters as needed, the camera enters the
monitoring state, which can automatically monitor and shoot animals or people
that are moving within the field of vision, and can be viewed in real time.
Notice
- The lens needs to be aimed at the shooting range.
- Battery life will vary in different modes or in different environments.
3.2 Set up and Use APP
3.2.1 Scan the QR code to download and install the APP
Please scan the QR code below with your mobile phone to download and install
the APP “UCon”

3.2.2 You can also search for “UCon” APP directly in the APP store, download
and install it on your phone Android Phone: Search “UCon” in the Google Play.
IOS Phone: Search “UCon” in the App Store.
3.2.3 Register account
3.2.3.1 Open the APP “UCon” on your mobile phone, click “Register”, and follow
the on-screen prompts on the APP to register.
3.2.3.2 Set the login password, enter the verification code, and click
“Register”.
3.2.3.3 After successful registration, enter the account name, password, and
click “Login” to log in to the account.
3.2.4 Add the camera
3.2.4.1 Click “Add a device”, then choose and click “Setup 4G Dvice”.
3.2.4.2 After the camera’s network indicator turns blue, scan the QR code on the camera.
Notice:
Please add the camera in a place with good 4G network signal, and make sure
both the camera and the mobile phone have good signal.
When the signal is poor, it may cause the failure of adding the camera, or the
remote function may not be available.
3.2.4.3 After the scan is successful, wait for the connection. After the
connection is completed, you can enter a device name and address, and then
click “Next” to complete adding the camera to the APP. After the camera is
added successfully, the APP will display the current preview screen of the
camera, and “Online” will be displayed in the lower left corner of the screen.
Notice:
If the camera is no longer bound to a phone, please reset the camera.
Otherwise, the camera cannot be bound to other mobile phones.
3.2.5 Use APP
3.2.5.1 Open the APP on the mobile phone, the display is as follows, please
refer to the APP for related operations.
3.2.5.2 Click the screen to enter the preview mode, the APP displays as follows, and you can perform relevant operations:
Click the Cloud video icon to enter the cloud video review, as shown below. Click the Calender icon, select a date to view the cloud video of the day, and you can view videos saved in Cloud video.
3.2.5.4 Play back local files
Click the local Album icon to enter the local album, as shown above, and you
can View photos and videos saved in local album.
3.2.5.5 Click the “Me” icon to enter account management, as shown below, and
you can perform relevant operations:
3.3 Matters needing attention
3.3.1 The wake-up times and shooting times of the camera will affect the
battery life, and using the 4G function or shooting at night will consume a
lot of power.
In order to prolong the battery life, please set the camera parameters
reasonably: it is recommended to set the remote Work mode to One-way, PIR
Detection sensitivity to Low , and PIR trigger interval to a longer time.
When the battery is low, in the upper right corner of the camera screen of the
APP, the notification “Low battery, please charge” will appear, please replace
the batteries in time.
3.3.2 If the camera uses 4G for a long time, works at night, or shoots at high
frequency, it is recommended to use an external power supply.
3.3.3 Please use the wireless function in a place with a good network signal.
If the local signal is weak,.it may cause the camera to be disconnected or
unable to operate remotely. If this happens, please adjust the antenna
direction or change the location where the camera is installed.
3.3.4 The camera has two remote modes: Dual-way mode and One-way mode.
Dual-way mode: for remote real-time live video viewing and setting. In the
dual-way mode, the camera consumes a lot of power. It is recommended to use
this mode only for setting, and change it to one-way mode after setting.
One-way mode: The camera automatically senses and captures a photo. When it
detects an object, it triggers and takes a photo, and sends a notification to
the phone. The one-way mode saves more power.
Notice:
In One-way mode, if the user switches it to Dual-way mode in the Settings, the
camera will change to Dual-way mode only when it is triggered again.
3.3.5 The camera supports APP remote wake-up and infrared detection wake-up.
After each wake-up work is completed, it will automatically enter the sleep
state .
3.3.6 The camera provides a free trial period of the cloud service. If you
want to continue using the cloud service, please recharge your account.

4.1 Common faults and troubleshooting

The above settings are the balance between camera performance and battery
life. Please refer to the manual for proper settings to get a better effect
and battery life.
**** Water has gotten into the camera or the lens is foggy| The waterproof
ring has fallen off or there is a foreign object| Check the waterproof rings,
keep the waterproof rings clean, and make sure the waterproof rings are placed
correctly
The toggle hasps are not fastened
or waterproof plug is not tightly covered.
| Before using the camera, please check and fasten all toggle buckles and

Improper use, such as putting the camera in water| The camera is rainproof,
